Corned beef sandwich had loads of delicious meat on hand cut rye. Hot pastrami was another yummy treat. So happy to have a Kosher style deli here in Fort Myers. Finished off the great lunch with a quart of matzo ball soup to go. Nice day of good eats. Can’t wait to go back for a Reuben sandwich.

If you’re not on a budget and looking for basic diner/deli sandwiches, check out Larry’s Lunchbox. The food is okay and pretty generic. I would say it’s a good place to order if you work downtown but not so great if you’re a visitor looking to sample the River District. I think they were going for old-style diner décor but ended up settling for empty warehouse with kitchen, tables, and chairs. It needs some help but they’re newish so they have time.

–Real New York Deli food going on here!!! I ordered a ½ corned beef, ½ pastrami on a Kaiser roll. Super good, tasted just like the delis back in NY for real –The Coleslaw was the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Wow, amazing –Also ordered the matzo ball soup. The matzo balls were on-point, but I thought the broth was missing some oomph. It was almost clear… –They carry the NY deli staple of Dr. Browns sodas –The food was pricey($ 20), but it was enough to have as lunch for 2 days. And the quality is there to justify the price My few notes for improvement: **Matzo soup was over priced. I ordered the bowl which was 2 balls and maybe 8ozs(1 cup) of blah, water-like broth. **No pickle with my $ 9 sandwich? Oy vey! **I faxed my order from work 45 minutes before the time I said I would pick it up. I got there and the cashier proceeded to realize there was no order waiting and proceeded to fish my order right out of the garbage can. She gave it to the cook, who is now 10 minutes from closing time and I don’t think was too thrilled with this last minute order, lol.(I heard some discussion). So I had to wait about 10 minutes, which wasn’t so bad, but I really had to get back to work quick which is why I faxed my order in. I know stuff happens tho… no harm, no foul. Overall, the food here rocks and that’s what’s most important. It’s nice to have a real deli downtown! Wish they were open on Saturday so I could bring my New Yorker husband:(

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. I went for the ruben. Real rye bread with those caraway seeds as it should be. Toasted with butter. Sauerkraut, melted cheese and corned beef. Ahh the way it is suppose to be. Hot large and filling. I also tried my very first time matzo ball soup. According to the local food critic the best in the area. I have never had this. It was real good. Excellent for a cold day or if you are sick. Good comfort food. But it really just comes down as a chicken soup. Which all cultures have in one form or another. Over all good food good folks. I do suggest you check the website and order ahead. Also check for hours. They are still working theses out. As of this writing 1000AM to 300PM… M-F

We each ordered a sandwich, one Hot Pastrami and the other Roast beef(rare– emm). When they came, we couldn’t believe how much meat was on the rye bread that is made exclusively for them. As good as any I have had and I’m originally from Brooklyn. We took one look at them and asked for a take home box that we each put half of our sandwich in. We had the 2nd halves for dinner that evening. We definitely plan to go there again and split one sandwich. We also plan to try either of their 2 locations in Naples.

This place is awesome. I can’t believe it has so few reviews. I took some food home today from this place it was all fantastic, especially the tongue and the Ruben. They had just got hit hard for lunch and they were out of some stuff, but that’s understandable, it happens. I’d definitely go back.

I had the good fortune to grow up just 20 miles from Manhattan island, which gave me the opportunity to experience an incredible variety of cuisines and culinary establishments. One of those was Katz’s delicatessen, the absolute world standard for hot pastrami sandwiches. Consequently, every now and then, I get a huge craving for that sandwich of my youth. In the recent past, I’ve had to drive more than 40 miles to Pastrami Dan’s in Naples, in order to come close to satisfy that craving. But, not any more! Following an email exchange with«JLB» of the News-Press, I drove the short mile and a half to Larry’s newest location in Fort Myers. Rejoice! Honestly, nothing can equal Katz’s, but this is absolutely a great sandwich, at a fair price, and close to the river. The only downside was the wait time, due to apparently heavy call-in and carryout business at lunch time.

Awesome sandwiches! Great kosher style sandwiches, classic favorites such as BLT, egg salad and much more. Try the cheese steak and flat top grilled burgers. Can be a little busy during lunchtime, but worth the wait.

If you are looking for the best Jewish delicatessen than look no further. Sandwiches are fresh, huge, top of the line ingredients and a great staff. Finally a great sandwich shop downtown.

We came one hour prior to the advertised closing time of 5PM and all stools were on the tables and the floor was being mopped. All that was offered we’re take out. I will not return.

We order lunch from here several times a week. Having just moved back from NYC, I was super skeptical when my co-workers claimed this was a NY style deli, but I was blown away by how great the food is. I’ve never had anything bad here. Sandwiches are piled so high with meat you can eat them for two meals. The chicken ceasar I had today was huge, fresh, romaine lettuce, a huge chicken breast lightly seasoned made this my new favorite in town. They always have soups and daily specials and they deliver! Definitely go here, you’ll be back multiple times!
