What a gem! I adore the farm to table concept and the idea of local/Florida products. Free yoga, palm trees for sale, fresh seasonal veggies, candles & more. Good job Alliance for the Arts, keep stuff like this in our area.

A great little community market… veggies…cheese…yoga…music…a nice place to spend a Saturday morning… worth a trip…

A for effort. C for execution. The Alliance market has just enough vendors to make it worth the trip, but not much more. When the Nosh Truck is there, you’ve a great lunch option. The produce can be great in season, but not much beyond what I would consider the farmer’s staples. I’d love to think this will continue to grow with an expansion of vendors, but two years have already gone by, so I fear it’s a false hope. Nonetheless, it’s important to support any endeavors such as this, and I recommend you find time to give these small businesses support.

I noticed another reviewer mention this market is expensive. I do not find this market to be any more expensive than other local markets. It is worth noting that it is significantly LESS expensive than purchasing produce at any local supermarket –not to mention MUCH tastier than supermarket produce: P I am(mostly) raw vegan, and live on what I buy at Farmers’ Markets. I spend about $ 15 for a week’s worth of food at this market. I probably spend $ 20 if I go to the Sanibel Farmers Market(still a bargain). The same amount of produce would cost at least $ 30 at Publix, $ 40 at Whole Foods or Ada’s.

This market is well-intentioned, and I guess that counts for something. Unfortunately is has very few vendors & the prices seem to be quite a bit higher than other farmers’ markets I’ve been to, both in the Fort Myers area and elsewhere. This is a fine location, it just needs more oomph — i.e., more vendors, more patrons & more reasonable prices…
