We stopped because we were tired and were not sure how much further we would have to go until we got to another hotel. Huge mistake, we should have driven a little further. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the quality of food was pretty much what we expected and that was less than desirable. However, we were tired and it was food. Within 2 hours, our 13 year old son started throwing up horribly and had terrible cramps. It was quite obvious he had food poisoning and it lasted all through the night and in the car the next day during our 14 hour drive. I shared with the hotel manager that I am quite certain it is food poisoning since the symptoms were consistent and he had not eaten 12 hours prior this meal. She shared she would discuss with the kitchen manager and that was all. You would think I would have received a call/email or something from them? I would caution anyone that is considering staying here and drive the extra 30 minutes to a reputable hotel. Another strange thing that occurred was that they had me pay for our meal and then had to give them my credit card again so they could charge a tip? What is up with that? I apparently need to watch my credit card statement closely.

Overall, a clean room. It was annoying that we weren’t able to check in until 3 on the dot. Even after being told no at 10 till, the guy after us checked in at 5 till. There was no one else there but they insisted the rooms had to be cleaned. The next morning we were rushed out two hours prior to checkout so they could clean the room. Wi-Fi was spotty, cable worked, breakfast was OK. Not a friendly staff. You don’t have many options in the area. Just be sure you check in at 3.

Just don’t. No matter how exhausted you may be from driving or eating pot candy in Denver, KEEPGOING. Ogalala NE isn’t totally awful(compared to this) but I digress. There are creeps who hang around outside the hotel smoking ciggs at all hours. The curtains are sheer and see through… there are drapes, but the railing for them only goes halfway so we had to tie them together with a hair tie for half-way decent privacy. The bedding is rough especially the mid-layer one… looks and feels like its been here for decades. Just something awfully unsettling about this place; like there could be a dead body under any mattress. Free drink at the downstairs bar felt like a rape invite.

It was nice place to stay, large & updated room, friendly staff, was there for work. w. Everyday same breakfast. Biscuits, eggs, gravy, & sausages, oatmeal, bread, muffins, & donuts. Which it was all good. Everynight, u could get a «free drinks» at the restaurant or bar. Wifi sucks and hot tub was not working

Three stars is really only because of how nice the staff is here. The room is nice also, but the hot tub was not even warm, the wifi impossible to connect, and the area smells like manure really badly. The restaurant inside the inn has nice staff but sub-par quality food that’s almost inedible.

Had to stop because it was late, all other hotels were full and I could not make it all the way to Denver and beyond to my destination. Seeing the place I had serious hesitation. But I was so TIRED. What a relief to find that the interior is all new. Also, seemed like real eggs at breakfast, not powdered. On the downside there were some serious safety/etiquette breaches by the front desk staff. I was made to say my phone number out loud TWICE to register. It was late and there were other guests(men) standing at the desk. As if «text me later» is not enough… the front desk person SAIDMYROOMNUMBEROUTLOUDTWICE! Seriously? Who does this? This is basic front desk etiquette to women traveling alone to offer some privacy. Completely blown away by the ignorance. The good news is that it would be impossible to be murdered here because the walls are paper thin. Surely someone would hear and rescue you? Maybe someone from the front desk even? I felt it was overpriced. They jacked up the rate because other places were full it seems.

Stayed there for 3 nights while weather was cold(–15F). The room was very clean and large with a microwave, fridge, coffeemaker. The bathroom was also clean complete and large enough. There is a swimming pool that I did not try but I tried the restaurant. the breakfast is very basic compare to the price, more choices such as bacon and pancakes would be good. The dinner menu is ok and the quality is basic. The restaurant and the hotel in general looked clean and safe to me. The people were friendly. There’s a bar too but I did not go. The bad point is that I was a little cold during the nights, the window of my room was leaking and i could not sleep with the awful ac/heater unit that was very noisy. Very annoying, who in the world made the choice for this units? really, it is insane to think that someone can sleep with that on! even thought, overall I would recommend this hotel.

This was a good stop. The room was large and we had a good meal despite our late arrival.
