I decided to give it another try on our trip here. I didn’t think I could be more disappointed. I was wrong. The drink was worse. I was charged for the extra pump of Chai in my latte and it was weaker than any other I have ever had(without the extra pump). The service was not even friendly. Not even a smile? I Did get to hear how sick the guy who made my drink was, and how he had to take Nyquil to make it to work … Needless to say I won’t be back to this location, ever.

I was the second customer at this location. I remember the dark days well. There I was, standing in line behind the first customer. I prayed, starbucks goddess, if you can hear me. Guide their hands, their drip, their pour, their foam skills, and drizzle topping. As I made my way to order, I quickly dismissed the thought; I should make it a simple order Mmmm nope. Carmel macchiato extra caramel extra foam. Sounds simple enough but when you have been hitting the foam as long as I have. It needs to blow your socks off. Give you that Ally McBeal slow sip orgasmic experience. Look her up YouTube or something. Well the first one was absolutely horrible. Made 3 times and I left thinking I wasn’t coming back. Well its been a year now and I am here almost everyday. What brought me back? It was quit, always clean, the ladies and gentleman baristas are very welcoming even on their worst days. My coffee is seldom wrong, my order is always what I want. Sometimes the line can get long, it’s a training post with a lot of Soldiers. However the times I go is off peak times. Go their during the early morning especially a cool morning. Sit in the comfortable chairs and spacious room. Let the colors relax you and your drink sooth you. Experience the relax and enjoy the benefits of having your very own Starbucks that services our Military community with pride, excitment, and joy. Lastly, STARTTIPPINGTIPTHESEPEOPLEAAFES!

I have gone to this location of Starbucks quite a few times and what brings me back is the outstanding service. The staff is friendly and engaging. They greet everyone who comes into the location. I was a novice at ordering things in the Starbucks vernacular, but the workers were patient and made great recommendations. The workers even challenged me to try different things and expand my horizons. I really appreciated the staff for taking the time. I have enjoyed learning the Starbucks lingo and now I feel equipped to be able to go to any Starbucks and order my coffee. I have even purchased more food and accessories from my frequent trips to this location. I will definitely be going back.

If you have the time then drive off post and visit the Starbucks right outside the gate in hopewell. Since it is run by AAFES it really isn’t quite the same. They run out of product, there’s no wifi, and the drinks aren’t made with the same accuracy since they have a captured military audience.

Fairly quick during the weekdays around lunch time. Usual Starbucks offering. If only they had a drive-thru.

This Starbucks usually isn’t that busy. The staff is friendly. There usually isn’t that many people working so the wait may be longer even though there might not be many patrons here. Still if you are on post this is more convenient than going to the one in Hopewell. Avoid on the weekend at all cost due to the number of IETs that will be there.

I have been disappointed with my visits to this establishment. If my experiences are unique I hope other reviews express that. The beverages I have purchased have not matched the taste/quality that I have frequently got from other Starbucks chains. Mainly in the frap department. Coffee is pretty standard but if your looking for a specialty drink it’s worth the short jump out Sisisky Gate to Hopewell. I think the errors may be a result of the new batistas being this is a recent open. No WIFI. Slow service. HOWEVER It seems good for the multitude of trainees that flock here on the weekends to socialize and sip beverages. Or maybe they just don’t have a better alternative on post.

Finally a taste of home(NYC) ON-POST! Pros: –Friendly Baristas –The ONLY place to get decent coffee on-post –The Americano I haven’t had for over 4 months tastes just like back home Cons: –Unfortunately, they are slow but I can understand, this ain’t New York City –NO WiFi at all. I thought ALL Starbucks had WiFi unfortunately not this one :( –Some of the people who come here have bitchy attitudes Aside the negatives, having a Starbucks on post is truly God-Sent for us soldiers staying on-post whether it be for AIT or as a duty station.
