I don’t know where to start… Driving by a new restaurant in the my beach neighborhood, you hope, it’s at least good. Well, this place is great. The staff is really super, as well the mgrs. and owners. From the fresh bread with oil and vinegar, to the Caesar Salad; perfect. To the Linguini with Clams; more than a dozen, and the Eggplant Parmigiana, best ever… It’s classic upstate NY Italian comfort food, prepared in an awesome open kitchen, and served in a great looking décor, and even a chefs table and pizza bar, as well as a full wraparound liquor bar. The Cheesecake was authentic NY style, and unreal. Enjoy this new, great Italian restaurant, and it’s in my neighborhood, so I’ll probably be there!

Had a nice dining experience on Valentine’s Day. A bit pricey but large portions, good service and nice atmosphere. Deducted one star since I got disappointed after taking our order was told was sold out of the sea bass special. Would go back when in the area and try other dishes. Also recommend they put a real candle instead of battery operated one.

I usually don’t eat ITALIAN food out… must say … .EXCEPTIONS should be made here… and our bar-tender Tony S. made my first visit feel like old friends. I’ll be back ! ! CALAMARI w/pickled peppers, one of the best I’ve tasted.

Had a great experience here. Our server was helpful when we ordered, never let our drinks get low, and was friendly. She did a great job. The environment is what I would expect of a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Everyone knows each other and they welcome you to dinner as if you’re family. I don’t normally eat calamari but here it was on point. The dipping sauces was perfect with a little spicy kick. I ordered the Bianca pizza and it was more than I needed, resulting in left overs(I love left overs) Good food, good environment, and good service.

My second trip to Tony D’s was much better then my first. Quite frankly I wasn’t going to go back but had some guests from Rochester NY(Home of the original Tony D’s) who really wanted to go. Several points: They read my original review and responded offering a good explanation to my issue of charging me $ 8.00 for a meatball topping on my pizza. If they told me to begin with it wouldn’t have been problem and I would’t have had an entire meatball spread on my pizza I would have ordered it separately. That’s history. My meal earlier this week was excellent. I had egg plant parm with a side of pasta. I couldn’t finish it… the portion was very large so although I thought just a little pricey I could easily get(2) meals out of the order. The service was a 10. I liked the atmosphere and compliment Jim, the guest service manager for going out of his way to make sure we all had a food experience… thank you, Jim. I will go back and have already recomended Tony D’s to some friends.

Awesome place. Outstanding food and service. Greens and beans to die for. Everything we had was top of the line. I love cheesecake and have had it everywhere, including NYC, including Carnegie Deli and this was the best cheesecake that I have ever had.

You Must Eat Here!!! Went to Tony D’s for New Years Eve!!! We were welcomed by such an accommodating staff & friendly Bartenders(Josh took such good care of us) We had the meatballs at the bar, Truly Amazing!!! Being Italian we needed to come back for Sunday Italian Dinner with Pasta & Gravy. OMG!!! Started with the Grilled Octopus!!! Phenomenal!!! Then had the pork cutlet over spinach & rigatoni with Sunday Ragu! Saporito Saporito in the true Italian Tradition. Can’t wait to go back & try the rest of the menu.

Wow! A taste of Rochester, New York, hits Lauderdale by opening what is their second Tony D’s restaurant on NE33rd Street near Galt Mile. Having been a frequent patron of Tony D’s on Exchange in Rochester, I couldn’t have been more delight. The menu has some differences but mostly the same and when it comes to décor there are also some noticeable carryovers such as the old fashioned tin ceilings common to the more historical buildings of the Rochester and Buffalo areas of New York. As restaurants go, Tony D’s is rather impressive as it is one of the best laid out and set up of any restaurant around. There isn’t anything lavish or ornate about it, but it’s just bright, airy, has plenty of space with practically the whole front of it open to the outside along with decent sidewalk café like under the umbrellas dining. The kitchen is open to view, everything is new, spotlessly clean, the bar central in the center, one wall with a mural of old Italy and then of course there is that pressed tin styled ceiling. As with Tony D’s in Rochester it’s wise to arrive here with a good appetite the food portions tend to be large. It’s a restaurant best known for its pizza, oven done caramelized onion tossed chicken wings and a certain meatball they call«Al Forno» topped with marinara, ricotta cheese and roasted in their pizza oven. Here Tony D’s has a listing of specials for each day of the week but also offers specials not listed on their menu, so be sure to ask your waiter. When I recently stopped by I had a glass of wine that came with traditional Tony D’s pour being somewhat larger than those of most area restaurants and also had a dish of the calamari which was also larger than is common with most other restaurants and rather uniquely prepared with pickled peppers, olives, garlic, parsley and lemon with a large side of orange chili aioli, $ 18. Though very good, as are all their other food items, I can’t really say outstandingly so but overall offers a very good dining experience.

Visited Tony D’s several times and always have great meal and a well mixed cocktail. The service from everyone that waited on me was very professional and attentive. The location is off the beaten path but I really like to feel and warmth of this place. Try the ribs and the heirloom tomato salad… wow! I personally think they should turn the bar into a piano bar and scout some live entertainment!

Ate at both Tony D’s in the past week. Get the tenderloin. It is a slightly different preparation here than the Rochester location, spicier, but it is excellent nonetheless. The arancini is also a solid choice for the appetizer. Beautiful location with a great atmosphere.

Yes! Stopped in here last night because the boys of Tony D’s in Rochester, NY have finally opened their second location! Upon arrival the restaurant is beautiful, large with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that open on nice nights. The bar is very large with multiple TVs and a number of high tops, is definitely stop here for dinner/drinks one night with the bf! And the open kitchen with a chef table looks so fun! The wine and beer list is pretty extensive and their drinks look very fun! The 6 of us sat at a round table in the corner. First up, the famous arancini I split with my friend. I have to say I think they were even better than at home — stuffed with even more pesto, pine nuts, and cheese! Topped with homemade marinara and pesto. LOVETHISDISH it’s at the top of my list always. For dinner I opted for the Carciofi pizza and added spinach and red onion… man the blobs of goat cheese on this pizza are phenomenal! Heaven, really. My friend ordered the Nicoletta and was equally happy. The pizzas do come out with some char due to the pizza oven, which I love, but just for those who don’t like that style. The rest of our table, 3 ordered the linguini with white clam sauce which came out with lots of pasta and plenty of clams, they were all very happy. My mom got the sicilian style seafood salad as her entrée and shared my pizza. She said the fish was very fresh and tastes great, surprisingly a little sweet. All desserts are made in house except the cheesecake. For dessert we tried the cannoli — amazing and large enough for two. The cheesecake was so decadent and fluffy, and also very large, served with fresh fruit and tasted so good! We also had the brownie, very chocolatey, very good but probably not our favorite of the 3. Overall we would absolutely come back and I’m looking forward to it, high quality delicious food! Plus the service was exceptional, you can’t ask for much more.

Me and my husband visit Tony D’s last weekend. We had AMAZINGEXPERIENCE with Tony behind the bar. This is what I call FIRSTCLASSSERVICE when it comes to hospitality!!! He was fun, full of energy, knows the menu and the drinks… We were planing on Pizza night, but end up being tour of their menu. We let Tony choose the food for us, and let me tell you, HENAILIT!!! Even through was Saturday night and the place was busy, Tony was on top of his game!!! Great job Tony!!! Too bad we had to go back to Texas the next morning. I wish we have great places like this in our neighborhood. I will %1000 recommend Tony D’s and for sure ask for Tony to take care of you!!!

We stopped in Tuesday for just a pizza but after checking out the menu, decided to try a few other things as well. We ordered ribs, fried calamari and the giant meatballs. We were beyond pleased with the pizza, it was the best we’ve had since moving to Ft. Lauderdale in May. The other items were cooked and seasoned and perfectly, great flavors. Our server was very attentive and we were surprised by the quality of service that this was a new restaurant. Everything was spot on. It was definitely a fun place, the meals and service were fantastic, and we will definitely be back soon. **Sorry Joe B. I’m NOT related to the owners! Nice try though.**

Didn’t plan on stopping in here yesterday but I figured I might as well try it out. They have a great atmosphere and the lack of TVs is something to appreciate, it’s not a tacky sports bar. I didn’t get to eat anything because it’s not officially open until Tuesday but they had a full bar for the public to enjoy. I enjoyed a glass of their complimentary cabernet, Josh Cellars I believe it was. The only thing that could’ve made the experience better is if I was able to try the food. The staff did a great job, especially my bartender Melissa, I will be looking forward to stopping by again soon.
