Why can’t we have Sushi places like this in Miami. HOLYCOW. It was incredible. A tiny hole in the wall(hence take-out in the name), not much seating, inexpensive, pretty decent size menu(they could have a few more options on the specialty rolls), and the fish tasted fresh. Order recommendation: #22 New times roll was excellent. I highly, highly, recommend this place if you are on the hunt for sushi and can’t bare to try one of the random, over priced places in the area. If you are on a time crunch– call ahead. this place is popular. PS. Get the house made green tea, best dollar you’ll spend since you used that payphone back in 1997.

Love this place! Never a disappointment. My FAVOURITE is the rainbow roll, the Mexican roll is so good too. The dressing on the green salad is awesome. Very reasonably priced and very popular. I wish they would open later!

Fresh, unpretentious, and underpriced translates into a relaxed, delicious, affordable dinner without having to get dressed up for sushi and just as good if not better than the«fancy» places.

In the case that I don’t want to bother with sitting down at a fancy sushi restaurant or getting my sushi in a plastic container from Publix, I head to Sushi One Take Out. This is definitely my go-to place for fast, cheap sushi! Good quality, big cuts of fish, and a diverse menu. You can get yakiniku and udon! I just wish the sushi menu was larger and more diverse. I also was unpleasantly surprised that the Dynamite roll had a mayo and canned tuna mixture to top it off… idk I guess I was expecting cooked cuts of tuna. But for sure, you can’t beat the price!

The sushi here is so fresh and affordable. I never had udon soup, until ordering from Sushi One and I have ordered it every time since!

We tried the chicken noodle, sukiyaki beef rice bowl and dancing eels. Loved all of them, and the price can’t be beat.

Soooo fresh and fast! I loved their avocado and cucumber rolls. I stood and watched the chef make everything right at the counter. They were also very polite and well priced amongst the many sushi houses in ft. Lauderdale. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sushi fix

Best sushi ever — been going for almost 20 years! The top quality of fresh fish! Love the staff — like family! They have their own twist on a Dynamite Roll using canned tuna with flying fish eggs — amazing!!! Everyone I bring there raves about it + makes it one of the regular stops! Even my best friend from Tampa now request it every time she is in town!!! My absolute favorite!!!

Best sushi of all time. Inexpensive and good quality. Wish they were open later. Limited seating, both indoors and outdoors. I’ve also taken the sushi to eat at the beach.

I absolutely love this sushi place! They have a variety of different types of Sushi, as well as other things like soup, etc. And they make it right in front of you, so you know what’s going in it! The ingredients taste fresh and delicious! This time I got the Rainbow Roll and New Times Roll, something I haven’t tried yet at this place, and I love them! I always recommend this place for anyone craving sushi, and they’re reasonably priced so it’s a win win! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! :)

I love this place. The sushi is very fresh and the other items on the menu are very authentic Japanese. I like that you can get an assortment plate and they have so many different combinations. Very reasonable priced. We ordered sushi, one of the udon noddle soups, and beef dumplings. All were very good.

Food is OK… needs much more viraety for the menue. The bad thing is the smell. Esp. if you sit by the windows, it stinks like cats peed there somewhere. They need to rip off old floors and clean everythig up, it spoils the enjoyment of the food. Other then that. moderately priced, sushi quality is ok, I would give you a 4. But the smell is so bad, so its a 3 from me.

This is definitely the best sushi I had in Fort Lauderdale. Very small place but with the Japanese cuisine and the freshest fish with the buttery salmon flavor. Real Japanese people making your sushi they way it is supposed to be. Feels very much like being in Japan.

I first paid Sushi One a visit when I’d made my way over to the nearby Sasaya Japanese Market, failing to recall the sign stating that they would be closed for a couple of weeks. For once, my forgetfulness yielded quite the amazing result. I’d had Sushi One bookmarked for quite a while but never got around to trying it out, so I followed my unfulfilled craving for sushi to this quaint sushi bar. I’ve been back a couple of times now, and Sushi One, along with Sasaya, are now my go-to places when the sushi craving hits. Don’t let the looks deceive you, this cozy Japanese-owned sushi bar has some of the best sushi that you can get in the area. On top of that, Sushi One not only has some of the best sushi in the area, but also some of the most affordable sushi as well. Rolls run from around $ 3.00 to $ 8.00, with the higher-priced ones being the specialty rolls. Nigiri pieces run from $ 1.20 to $ 2.50. The quality is amazing for what you pay for it. Sushi One is primarily a take-out sushi joint, but they do have a couple of tables inside and outside if you’re looking to grab something quick for lunch. The only con I’ve encountered would have to be that parking can get tricky, mostly around lunch time. I haven’t tried a single thing that wasn’t delicious from here. My favorites, in terms of rolls, have to be the New Times roll, the shrimp tempura roll, and the salmon skin roll. In terms of nigiri, it’s the tuna, eel, inari, and tamago pieces. The sushi is fresh, well-made, and delicious! Sushi One also offers things that you’d expect to find on a Japanese restaurant’s menu, such as miso soup, edamame, gyoza, udon, and chicken teriyaki, though I haven’t gotten around to trying those out. If you’re looking for some good-quality sushi at amazing prices, make sure to stop by Sushi One. The sushi is just super delicious and the staff are always so nice!

If you’re craving sushi for a cheap price, this is the spot for you! It’s primarily for take-out orders, but there’s a few tables in case you want to eat there– nothing fancy. The sushi is fresh, authentic, and affordable. It sometimes get busy during lunchtime so call ahead with your order to save you time. I wish the menu was available online. It would also be nice if they had more variety in sushi rolls. Still, I love this place. I ordered the #14 combo(spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, and dancing dragon roll), miso soup, and salmon sashimi. If only I lived closer, I would definitely be here every week. Plus, Einstein Bagels is next door– coffee and sushi FTW!

Sushi One Take Out is an excellent score for sushi located in a semi-upscale strip mall. I know very little about sushi. However my Spicy Tuna roll combo tasted excellent and was a great value. Everything tasted and smelled fresh, and looked great. I dropped by at about 5:30 and there were only a couple people standing in line. After a reasonable wait my to go order was served. I can only imagine what this place would be like at peak lunch hour. Service was very friendly and for $ 10 I had quite a meal. Highly recommended. Very limited seating.

Sushi One has become my go-to spot for a quick, tasty, and affordable lunch in Downtown FTL. It’s literally a hole-in-the-wall, but don’t let the location fool you — Sushi One is serving up fresh and delicious sushi to the hungry masses. Sushi One offers a bunch of roll and roll/nigiri combos when you just can’t decide what to order. They also have a few specialty rolls, along with some bento box, soup, salad, appetizer options. I tend to mix up my order whenever I go in, switching it up from a roll combo(#13 with spicy tuna, salmon and hamachi rolls or #14 with spicy tuna, dancing eel and rainbow rolls) to a specialty roll(New Times Roll with tuna scallions, tempura flakes, topped with tuna or the Mexican Roll with shrimp tempura, asparagus, avocado, and masago) with a side of seaweed salad. I’m eager to check out Sushi One’s soup and bento box offerings, but haven’t been able to avoid my sushi craving when I’ve stopped in. Dining in at Sushi One can be a challenge, especially during peak lunch hours. There are 3 tables inside and about the same outside. Best not to come with a group — the space is very small. I usually get take out and eat back at the office. Service is pleasant and efficient. Don’t stray too far from the pick-up counter — your order will be ready before you know it. Prices are crazy low for the quality and quantity at Sushi One. Most roll combos are in the $ 9 – 12 range and are filling. The specialty rolls are $ 8 – 10 and large. You can easily get a filling lunch for under $ 15. Sushi One is popular for a reason — fresh, tasty and affordable eats in Downtown FTL. The reviews don’t lie.

I was not a fan. I orderd a spicy/crunchy tuna roll and the chicken teryaki bento box and neither were very good. The«spicy/crunchy» tuna roll was so strangely made. It looked like they put rice krispies in my sushi as opposed to the usual tempura crunch. There was SOMUCH rice on the rolls too and it was incredibly sticky. Yuck. The chicken was definitely decent but the teriyaki was gross. It tasted like BBQ sauce. Wouldn’t bother coming back here.

Sushi one take out is located in a little strip mall next to Einstein bagels. They have 3 tables inside and three tables outside. All the sushi is made to order. I ordered the number 11 which had 4 pieces of salmon skin roll, 4 pieces of eel roll, 4 pieces of shrimp tempura roll, and four pieces of California roll with some spicy tuna. parking can be busy at lunch hour because the lot is small relative to the stores that are in the strip mall. They are definitely recommended for a fast lunch for take out or eating there. Good stuff at a great price!
