Walked in the door and thought I had found heaven, but it smelled nasty. I should have known from there. They bring you out a sample of sauce, turns out, that is the chili… The restroom is outside, small and dirt. Back to the food, my chili bowl was raw onions, canned beans, there is more meat in vegan chili and that nasty cheap cheese. The chili spaghetti is just the same, except the rehydrated pasta was cooked in the morning and sat in lukewarm water all day, I know because the pasta wasn’t properly drained before serving. But they did refill our drinks! Just keep driving! Nothing to see here…

Just had the best dinner here at Skyline in Ft. Lauderdale. Love, love this Chili! Great Service too. My only complaint is that it was so good we all ate too much. Back on the treadmill tomorrow, so well worth this meal tonight. Highly recommend to all — enjoy!

A little taste home every time we get to go to Skyline. We stop here on the way to the Florida Keys each year.

I’ve been here many times over the years and my favorite is the 5-way. Love it! I no longer live in Ft. Lauderdale, but visit Skyline Chili whenever I’m in town.

Really good service! Does not make up for the bad food. And I mean it’s BAD. Chili is watery and not succulent at all. Next time you want chili, do yourself a favor and visit Wendy’s… Better chili and at cheaper.

I went to Skyline Chili expecting to get a delicious bowl of chili. This is supposed to be their specialty! I’m at the counter looking at the differnt sizes. There is an 8 ounce which looks more like a 5 ounce cup for 5.69 and a 16 ounce cup which looks more like the size of the 10oz. Cup for 8.69. I ordered the small cup and believe me for 5.69 it is small. Chili is supposed to have meat. The bowl of chili I got was more like soup and very little meat. I also remembered when I got chili from Wendy’s the cup was twice the size half the price and much better tasting. I asked if they sold rolls or bread. Nope! Only bread was a hotdog roll and get this! Nothing to put on the roll! No margarine or butter! With Chili there is nothing like dunking a buttered hard roll in great tasting chili! The only thing that they had was a hot dog roll or the oyster crackers and at a price! Sorry but I will not go back to Skyline Chili and will get all my chili from Wendy’s from now on. Everything was wrong. The taste, the size and the lack of the meat and no rolls. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can give a high rating for this place! I was told this is how people from Ohio like their chili. With the lack of sirloin meat in Skylines chili the ingredients must be cheaper yet they are twice as expensive as Wendy’s. Anyone giving high marks for this place are either related or connected in some way to the owners. No thanks I’ll take Wendy’s over Skyline chili any day.

The food & the service was great! But what’s sad is the kitchen staff, they are rude to each other and seem careless about their job.

Bigger portions than their Cincinnati bretheran in a good way. Great lunch and service today. 4 way onion was on point.

Dump!!! Where to start and where to finish? Open the door, walk in, attempt to order something they are out of, walk out. There is your review. It’s a dump!!!

When in Ft Laud, I have to visit Skyline — the décor is updated, the chairs are comfy and the food is perfect — every time. Start with 2 cheese coneys then a 5 way, extra wet, ez onions and that’s a filling, tasty lunch. Turn that dish sideways, slide your fork down to get a bit of everything and enjoy. Crush up the oyster crackers in that tasty chili sauce — good stuff. Brought my nephew that never ate chili and now loves the food.

I went to this place today, I was NOT impressed. Chili was watery and Hot Dogs seemed under cooked. They have fries on their menu online, but when you get there they tell you Not at this location. 1st and last visit.

Food is great ! Being from Cincinnati it’s a taste of home. The customer service however is terrible unless you’re a «regular» I said«thank you» and didn’t even get a response. Talking with a fake lisp to be funny is plain rude. Playing on laptops with customers. I might as well go to the one west of this location where they actually seem to appreciate their customers. I’m talking about the blonde named Casey. TERRIBLETERRIBLE customer service. Also I ordered a 3way here a previous visit and the guy actually asked«can I join» what the hell. Oh let me also add how the«manager» Casey acted like she was doing me a huge favor by taking off one of the cheese orders I had asked for with my to go cheese coney. She had the nerve to say«I already took it off so let’s not even get into that» YOURSTAFFISHORRIBLEANDRUDE !!! While eating the lady was sweeping under our table ! Hello it can wait until we leave !!! Where is the owner when all of this is happening !?

The irony is that I lived in Cincinnati for the first 18 years of my life, but the closest skyline was several miles away from my house. Now that I live in Fort Lauderdale, this skyline chili blew me away that it’s only a half mile away from my house! Yes… This place is an «authentic» Skyline, everything is perfect as it should be(cheese, crackers, York mints, hot sauce, etc). Been here about 10 times and the service is always great and fast. Food is awesome. Don’t ever change a thing, it’s perfect!

Cincinnati chili never has been for everyone. There have always been those who love it, and those who aren’t impressed. Nevertheless, the flavor is unique, and unmistakable. I grew up on it. I love the smell when you first walk into the place. The Ft. Lauderdale location is the real deal. Our visit tonight was just fine. Our waitress Karen was very nice and very attentive. We will visit here more often. I had a Five-Way and a Cheese Coney. They were perfect.

My coworker brought me here for the very first time I really wasn’t in the mood for chilling but I taste of hers and it was very delicious. The chili comes on a plate of spaghetti added shredded cheddar cheese it is definitely the place to go if your chili lover! I enjoyed their bbq chicken wrap– delicious and very nice proportions.

This was my first Skyline experience. A good friend from Ohio would not stop talking about the 4-way and the hotdogs. Blah, blah, blah… Well, I’ll be darned tootin’! Those were the best hotdogs I think I have ever had. It wasn’t just the hotdog, but the combination of the chili and the cheese… so delicious. I tried some of my friends 4-way(sounds so wrong) and loved it. At first, I couldn’t get past the idea of pasta and chili together, but it, too, was delicious. I have to go back to Texas. There are no Skylines there. So, so sad.

If you’re in the mood for a coney or chili dog and you live in south Florida, then Skyline Chili is the place to go. They also have spaghetti with chili and cheese but it’s a gut-buster. One thing that’s really good and interesting is their greek salad. Actually, it’s just the dressing that makes the salad tasty but I’ve always enjoyed them.

This is a great Skyline! Since we are from Ohio, we had to make a stop here with our friends while we were in town. It did not disappoint! Three ways and skyliners all around, complete with crackers and Skyline hot sauce! Whoo Hoo, it was just like being at home in Cincinnati! We will definitely stop back by next time we are in town. Great service too!

I visit here every time I’m in Ft Lauderdale visiting my relatives, and they’ve been coming here for as long as they can remember(decades). Only thing I’ve ever had are their chili dogs, which are smaller than the typical monster dog you’d find at a football stadium, which is a good thing. I get them loaded with chili and onions and I’m good to go. The food is very consistent; tastes the same every time. They have a fairly unique hot sauce that I love too; it’s not like Tabasco or other Louisiana hot sauces, best to try it yourself rather than let me try to come up with a poor description of it. In any case, what really sets this place apart are the people. They have some very hard working staff that have been there a long time and if you take the time to get to know them, you’ll be glad you did. Working in food service is far from an easy job, and they deserve credit for still putting forth the same effort and happy faces year after year.

Four way is my preference. I grew up eating this Chili and I adore it. It’s not for everyone. You either love it or hate it. The chili has no beans, yes it’s watery not thick. The flavor of the chili is what I enjoy. I believe it’s the cloves. It gives it a very unique flavor. We stopped in for an early dinner. I have been wanting to get here for their amazing chili forever it seems. We did order a coney but I have never been a fan of their dogs. Now give me a bowl of spaghetti cover it in Chili, add some onions then top it off with shredded cheese, and a must is to add the oyster crackers. Yes it’s pure perfection. Service was a bit slow but friendly. It’s a very casual place with a few cool swing bench tables outside. We sat inside and they sure could have turned the AC lower as it was hot inside. If you love chili with no beans and a very unique flavor check this place out. It’s so nostalgic for me and I’m glad I have the option of coming here instead of having to drive to Ohio. Haha Prices are reasonable as well.
