The food is pretty good here, the fried conch, shrimp, fish and wings are my favorite. Also the conch salad is freshly made and chopped very fine and delicious. The location is great close to the beach and its a small family owned/operated business. But I have to admit she doesn’t have the help she needs so it takes long at times when dining in and if she’s not preparing the food its not as good. IJS

Fresh chopped conch salad! I wish I had a tub of this stuff to consume. It tasted fresh and tangy and a good amount of conch. Only thing I would add is corn but besides that I really enjoyed the salad. If I lived nearby I would hang out at this place all the time. This place has such a great vibe with reggae playing in the background and live music on certain nights. They had a nice selection of wings too. I had the Island hot which made me want to use a fire extinguisher on my mouth but gave me an excuse to eat more of the conch salad. I honestly did not want to share but there was so much food I could not finish it. They have a lot of deep fried goodies here too and the conch fritters are like hush puppies fried into crispy golden brown bites with chewy conch pieces inside. I enjoyed the fried fish dinner which we ordered with more fried conch and came with the wings and some crispy fries and really good beer battered onion rings. Nothing was overly greasy and it all tasted good. Only thing was that it takes awhile for them to fry everything but I did not mind since this place has good music. The punch machine wasnt working when I was here but they have beer of course and snapple. They have a small lot out front you just have to pay for the meter and just 5 minutes from the beach. I would definitely come back here for all things conch and for the relaxed tunes.

Nice little gem in Lauderdale-by-the-sea. This restaurant has great conch chowder, but it’s a little spicy! I had their conch fritters too and whatever sauce they serve with it is fantastic! Great lunch spot or dinner if you’re looking for 100% authentic island food!

I have a new addiction… And it’s Sheila’s! From her conch salad to her fritters to her«Caribbean hot» habanero wings! Omg. All good, all fresh, all the time.

The cracked conch and conch fritters are ridiculous good best in broward county, if your not the conch type you will enjoy the wings, fried snapper, fried tilapia filet, and the fried shrimp(my choices).Everything on the menu is great to try. I will admit you will have to wait but this is not McDonald’s so be patient its worth the wait. Prices are decent and the serving size feeds two ppl with one plate. Restaurant is maintained cleaned at all times. if you’re in a rush order ahead of time and go your merry way. Location is nice close to the beach and you do not have to go the hood to enjoy good authentic Caribbean Bahamian food.

Stopped in on a whim for some conch fritters and it was either the owner or manager was telling them I’m gonna love them and sure enough they are delicious. Place was clean and everyone was so nice. Can’t wait to go back

We didn’t even get a chance to try the food due to the fact that we had to leave about ten minutes after we got there because the waitress was the most rude person I have ever encountered. Which explains why there was only one other table in the entire place at dinner time. I wouldn’t go here if it was the only place to eat in 500 miles. My sister and I just looked at each other in disbelief and got up and left.

What was once a 5 star review is now a 1. I’ve been back to this area twice and am so irritated by this place. They do not honor their business hours and are RUDE! I called at 8:15 and their door says they close at 10pm. She lady on the phone rudely told me they were closed. Two nights in a row. I asked what time they closed and she said, «I don’t know.» Pathetic.

Cracked Conch, collards, & pigeon peas & rice were very good. Fritters were too dry for me. I would definitely go back.

Good conch and shrimp. The peas and rice were quite dry, but the lunch portion of conch for $ 10.99 was ample.

OH! MY! GOD! is all I can say… OH. MY. GOD! I absolutely LOVE Bahamian food and have eaten it in many places in the Bahamas, Nassau and Freeport. I LOVECONCH& have tried it multiple places high end and little shacks. After trying multiple places in Florida, I gave up because nothing ever came close. SHEILA’S ISTHEBEST I HAVEEVERHAD! Even better than INTHEBAHAMAS! Food is SO fresh! Its PERFECTLY seasoned! I am going to be driving from Orlando JUSTFORTHISLITTLEPLACE! My ONLY complaint is she doesn’t offer Bahamian mac & cheese!!! But the amazing quality and flavor of everything else makes up for it. Also, it is only slightly higher priced that this type of food in Bahamas but it honestly is better and to me, worth every dime! The conch salad is the real deal!!! And totally delicious & fresh! Expensive but worth it! Did I mention it was awesome???

The hubby had cracked conch, fried shrimp and fried fish. He ate the whole thing. I had the medium conch salad which is enough to share as is the Conch Fritters. 6 is enough for 2 people. Quiet on a weeknight!

A cozy little spot to check out. Not on the beach, but nestled in between the shops along the boulevard, west of the Intracoastal, just far enough away to escape some of the vehicular and pedestrian traffic jam of tourists that occurs right on the beach. Personally greeted by Sheila to have a seat in the colorfully painted dining area with island music playing at a comfortable level(not like some places that have the music so loud that you can’t even hear yourself think). There’s also a corner spot reserved for live music performers. Selected a 3-entrée combo to sample the various menu choices. The cracked conch, shrimp and wings comes with a choice of two sides. Everything was tasty, but the large fresh shrimp were my favorite. The side of peas and rice was cold and dry, but the onion rings were hot right out of the fryer.

Sheila and the other guy working were very personable and the food was great. I had conch salad and hot wings. The conch salad was fresh with the perfect amount of spice. It’s the closest tasting conch salad that I’ve tried to that of the Bahamas.

It’s Sheila’s alright because she’s actually there serving up her goodies, running into the kitchen, and fetching island beers that are refreshingly cold. I’m not a real keen fan on Caribbean food; but only because it’s not a cuisine I’m as familiar with as I am with Latin concoctions — and I confess that I’m far more familiar simply because of my parentage, with Mexican, Mexican-American, Tex-Mex and Cuban concotions. Sheila’s is a great introduction to how Jamaicans do magic with(conch) fritters and take some jerk spice twists on chicken weeks that elevate them to snazzy ethnic cuisine. While not«cheap» as some of the other area pub grub being served up locally — it’s not expensive either when you gander at your pretty full plates of goodies and realize just how full a fritter can make you feel. I’m looking forward to a return to get to know more of the unique dishes.

Laid back, casual atmosphere. Conch, conch, conch. Conch salad, conch fritters, lightly battered conch. Tasty. Enjoyed my lunch and will return.

Sheila’s Conch and Wings recently opened and I was happy to enjoy a pretty good meal there and the opportunity to meet Sheila though of course I didn’t let her know that I might just be there not only eating but also Unilocaling away as I ate. One thing about the place, you can tell that running a restaurant isn’t a new rodeo show for Sheila since she seems to know what she’s doing as the established didn’t show any of those painful signs of just opening, menu or service bugs about it. After reading their menu, I opted for the Seafood Dinner of «Conch, Fish & Shrimp» at $ 15.95 which came with my choice of two sides from which I chose baked beans and sweet potato fries. When served it came with a healthy portion of fried breaded conch, some rather tasty breaded fish and shrimp along with plenty of sweet potato fries a red cocktail sauce and a sweet sort of French or remoulade sauce along with a squeeze bottle of ketchup and a bottle of Crystal hot sauce. Basically not only good but rather tasty meal. If I’d have any complaint at all it would be with the tiny postage size napkins, which though they gave a good number of them, turned out to not only be small but rather wimpy in strength. When I attempted to cover my mouth to sneeze, I not only blew a hole through several of them but also managed to set sailing a number of paper fragments that unfortunately ended up in my baked beans and remoulade sauce. Don’t laugh! Absorbent paper, baked beans and remoulade sauce do not work well together. All in all it’s a rather nifty place and the serving of conch and wings an interesting combination concept I’ve never heard of before. Though nothing to realy rave about I can see myself returning so I guess I might be considered a fan, hence I’ll go Four Stars minus on it, but I guess that’s Four Stars none the less.
