Fantastic selection, and the owners have a great sense of style — not just with the frames they carry, but also in suggesting frames to wear. They’ve helped me buy three pair of frames over the last three years; two of which I wouldn’t have chosen, but that looked great when I put them on.

Quality frames. Quality service. Even the furniture is pretty nice. Scott and Jonathan helped me find exactly what I wanted when I was clueless about frames, but now I look great thanks to them. Highly recommended.

I am a physician from New York City. For the past several years, I have purchased several pairs of eye glasses from Optical Spectrum when I visited Fort Lauderdale. Because of my profession, I would like sometime functional and good looking. Michael and Scott always picked out the frames which made me look both young and hip. I got a lot of compliments from my patients and colleagues. They are comfortable and practical. Both Michael and Scott have strong back ground in fine art and fashion. I felt I can trust their taste and judgement. All the staffs are friendly and no pressure sales pitch. Their price are cheaper than what I can get here in Manhattan Chinatown. I certainly do not get the same service here in New York. I found their service superb, honest, direct and easy to deal with. Their measurements and prescriptions were very accurate. I will continue to get my eye glasses from Optical Spectrum whenever I visit Fort Lauderdale.

Very patient and helpful staff. I came in multiple times before deciding and felt completely in control. They answered every question with confidence. Jonathan was especially helpful.

Michael! i love how you waited all this time to respond to my review. I also love how you try to completely make up something untrue to make your business look better!
1. The models were identically! It just happens that porsche shades are much cheaper in germany! Which of course isnt your fault but dont make up this story on here about that i showed you a different model! Nonsense! Thats why porsche shades have model numbers! There was NO MIX-​UP!
2. The reason of me coming to your store was to exchange them for a different pair/​model NOT because of the price difference BUT BECAUSE of the gap in the frame when using the lighter lenses which i sadly didnt pay attention to when i bought them! You refused to exchange them claiming you couldnt be sure they are your shades since i travelled to another country in the meanwhile!!! What kind of excuse is that? My guess is you were just happy you finally sold them as im sure im not the only customer that was bothered about the gap between the frame and the lens. I didnt want money back, all i wanted was to pick out a pair of shades that i can actually enjoy wearing! But you refused!
Your manager was nice enough to give me a store credit of the initially agreed on price difference which i partially used and what was very nice of him compared to your failed service recovery. By no means was i happy about having to keep shades i would never wear, but i knew it wasnt his fault, he was trying his best as he agreed YOU as owners were not doing the right thing!
But you know what? Its all good because even though you as business owners failed to provide excellent service i contacted porsche and sent them back.

Best optical shop — hands down. Michael and Scott are so much fun, not only do they contribute to an enjoyable shopping experience, more importantly they provide invaluable experience during selection. We’ve been shopping here for 10 years and — while Optical Spectrum is not the most convenient location for us — we will always choose to buy our glasses here. Absolutely worth a special trip! No other optical shop has been able to come close.

I have a real love hate relationship with this optical shop. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the amazing designer frames. They have, by far, the best selection I’ve ever seen. I hate the fact that I can’t have a whole wardrobe of them! Be that as it may, now and then I just have to go in and drool.
The owners here, Michael and Scott, are both really nice guys. You always feel welcome when you go in, and never rushed or pushed. There are none of the high pressure sales tactics that you get when you go into so many designer shops. Instead, these guys let you take as much time as you want to look around and try on frames. They know their stuff when it comes to style and what looks good on you. If they don’t think the shape is right for your face, they’ll say so. I really value that when I’m looking at something that I’m going to be wearing every day for years. They treat you like family.
But, back to the styles. If you have a favorite designer or just want something totally out of the box, you can find it here. I love Caviar frames and they’re hard to find. There’s also Cavalli, Chanel, Bulgari, Dior, etc. You won’t find two pairs for $ 50, but you will find frames that you will love wearing and get compliments on everywhere you go. I just can’t recommend them highly enough for both service and style.

I am from Western Canada and stopped in to look at frames etc.
I found DITA frames, & I fell in love with them. I gave them my prescription
and although I wanted Verilux lenses I took Jonathan’s advise and ordered
Zeiss top of the line lens, with Coating and the new Transitions.
I have been wearing them now for 2 weeks and they are absolutely superb.
I dealt with Jonathan and he was very knowledgeable, accommodating, polite
and most helpful.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants different and top notch
product.
I will be going back next year for myself and wife’s new pair.

After dinner, my girlfriend and I took a stroll down Las Olas. We wandered into Optical Spectrum to look for a new pair of shades. I have never had so much fun shopping for glasses. The owner, Michael, spent an hour with us. He was extremely friendly. There was no pressure selling at all. He took a real interest in getting me the right pair.
It is no wonder that they have been at that same location for over 20 years.
I will whole heartedly recommend Optical Spectrum to anyone looking for great service and great fashion!
