Michael’s is a chain for everything Arts, crafts, hobbies and now picture framing. They have a decent selection of everything for your project. This occasion we used the for framing services since the other place(Squirrels) is out of business. I had a poster from our trip to south Africa that I wanted to get dry mounted on foam board. It was a small job and only took a couple days to complete. I arrived to pick it up and they open it for inspection. Looked decent but I did notice a corner that wasn’t glue’d down completely. I also had to request that they add the piece on the back so I could hang it. The clerk took time and carefully measured and installed it. I’ll probably try them on something else. Check the Sunday paper or weekly sale ads for $$ saving coupons.

Was helped by the MANAGER today and can tell you that you don’t have to drive to Davie! She was friendly and helpful and think we should help to keep this store in business. A concerned shopper!

I read the reviews for this Michael’s store and honestly didn’t give much benefit of a doubt to those rating this one or two stars. Whenever I see those, I figure it is someone’s bad experience that was weighing the store’s score down. I was wrong. The customer service here was really atrocious and left me with a terrible impression. While the selection was different than other locations(the only positive), the quality of the items on their shelves were laughably damaged. Employees weren’t willing to help with finding items or applying coupons, and I genuinely felt that some of them didn’t even want to be bothered to deal with customers. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a craft store, and promise that I won’t be back to see if things have changed.

If you’re a scrapbooker, love to showcase photos, posters and prints and in general are into arts and crafts, clearly Michael’s is the place for you. I’d like to think even the most jaded person could walk their many(albeit cluttered) aisles and fall back into a period of childhood as you encounter so many goodies that are laden with memories. A good think, too, about Michael’s is their assiduous attention to seasons and details — they leave plenty of time to buy Thanksgiving material throughout November; Halloween in October; Christmas in December, etc. The staff at this store is also quite accommodating and helpful — the only reason I give them 3 stars, at this time, is simply because they are a little over priced. I was reluctant to go to a frame store to get a specialty poster framed because of the expense; now I’m wondering if I did the right thing, perhaps I would have gotten a better deal at a mom & pop store — the fees for custom framing and one matt ran to over $ 200 — I’m not sure it was totally worth it. On the other hand, if you take care to coupon and watch for specials — there are plenty of floor samples you can pick up for a fraction of what I paid and you can pretty much do your own framing for much less — you just have to hope what’s on stock suits your aesthetics.

Worst customer service. Not helpful & unkind. No sense of urgency with the staff. Been here several several times and it’s never been different. Very frustrating because I like crafts and like Michaels.

Lazy people working for a lazy corporation. Literally no customer service. I mean they don’t allow it! I asked a guy pricing items if they had a customer service desk or staff walking around to answer questions, and he said flat out«no, nothing like that.» You are on your own here.

It’s a huge store with lots of various art and craft materials and supplies to offer if you can locate what you might be looking for, which I found to be a problem when shopping Michaels. In my case I couldn’t locate any floor clerks and the cash register checkout clerks were just that, cash register checkout clerks who seemed to be totally unacquainted with the items carried by the store much less with where anything might be located. About the only thing I can really say good about the place is that it houses a vast supply of varied inventory, but as far as customer service, assistance or even a friendly smile from one of the employees, forget it.

Who doesn’t love Michaels? This is almost my ultimate place for crafts and arts, with the exception of the prices. I am able to find everything I need when I am making a project, which makes my trip very pleasant and convinient. I specially love their holiday and scrapbooking section because its always packed with little things of all kinds that help your projects to be the best ones!

I agree 100% with Jeremy’s review. I was there today and had same experience. Not the first time but definitely the last. CUSTOMERSERVICE. What a concept!

This Michaels coupon crap is a fornication of pigs. Its sad when you have a national chain of stores that has this poor of customer service. I really wanted to take part of their coupon+ offers for framing a small painting, but the guy working the counter, Eric, had to check with his supervisor to see what the best way of framing the art would be. My wife and I are thinking ok fine, but we are placing an order today and you would think that they would honor whatever coupon they were offering at that time. To make a long story short, I never got a call back, when I enquired the following week they wouldn’t honor the coupon and they wouldn’t even say«I’m SORRYSIR»??? Seriously?!? You will not be getting anymore business from us. BUYERSBEWARE!

Prices here are a bit steep, but there are tons of people on the floor to help you find what you need. There is a lot to choose from.

If a sign states«75% off» doesn’t that mean your suppose to get 75% off? I asked a worker and the lady said«O that was yesterday’s sale, we must have forgotten to take the sign down» then I said«well signs still up, so can I have these items at 75%off» she replied no… WTF is that?

OK every time I go here its a miniature nightmare. There’s absolutely no communication between the staff members. On the phone they might tell you they have what your looking for in stock but when you arrive all of a sudden they don’t know what your talking about and now begins your nightmare. Oh and don’t walk in assuming your going to find a staff member to help direct you to what your looking for. Its a mission in itself just to find an employee working in the department area. The only employees that are visible are the TWO at the registers with a line wrapped around the corner so don’t think they can help you either. And when you do FINALLY find a staff member he rushes you and even might tell you he’s «super busy» and not give you the time of day. Twice that has happened to me here. I will never return here. Here’s a little tip to any managers reading this. Hire more staff! It will be worth it in the long run, you will get returning costumers.

I came here looking for the finishing touches on my Prince(musician) costume. I needed a material to make ruffles for my shirt. The service was amazing. This young woman(name is slipping my mind) helped me find the perfect ribbon material to make ruffles. She even was showing me how to make ruffles with the ribbon. I was really amazed at the lengths she went to help me. A+ service. Sadly, the price on the ribbon was expensive $ 11 for 2 yards. Ouch! If you need anything arts and crafts related, this is your store. It is a cleaner and bigger version of Pearl’s Art and Craft.
