I went here 1÷30÷16 which was a Saturday. It had been a year since my last visit. They still offer a drink deal on weekends from 7 – 10. Buy a wristband for $ 10 and get $ 2 U Call Its. Not too shabby especially if you like to drink the good stuff. The layout is still the same with three levels of fun. On the first floor is the pool table, some jenga, Ms. Pacman and a few other games. All in a separate room connected by a little hallway to the bar. Nice setup for a group of friends. On the second floor is another small inside bar with a DJ and makeshift dance area. But it works. Videos of the music are shown via multiple sized flat screens. May not sound thrilling, but I found it pleasantly mesmerizing. On the rooftop is where the real party is and«real people» are. Great friendly atmosphere over looking the beach. Carefree is a word(two words?) that come to mind and good olé fun! A year ago I had a blast too but the age of the crowd was much younger. This time, I would say early 30s was the average age compared to mid 20s. Perhaps the young bucks have migrated to Las Olas or thereabouts. I thought I would be old man river, but instead blended in all too well :) This section of town seems down but not out. The neighboring Sandbar has been shut down. As I write this, there is literally a white paper eviction or condemned notice taped to the front door. Or should I say taped to what looked like hurricane shelters. McSorley’s offers no food of any kind. Pizza from Primanti Bro’s, however, is next door and silences hunger pains and/or the munchies. McSorley’s is still cool fun, but the size of the crowd is less and the age of the crowd is more. Well, at least for the one Saturday nite I visited. Just a headsup if age matters. For me, fun is fun and McSorley’s is f-u-n for sure!

Versatile venue. Truly has so much to offer. You can relax in the pub downstairs and play games such as pool, beer pong, flip cup, jenga, Buck hunt, etc… And if you get tired of that and need more energy you can go upstairs to the lounge and rooftop where you can dance the alcohol off to some amazing djs and vjs that are there every weekend. Very clean, very inviting, and filled with hard working employees that truly love being a part of the Mcsorleys family. I haven’t, and I probably never will find a better place to hang on the beach.

Didn’t even know this place existed!!! If you have not been here you need to come. It’s the perfect place to hang out or have a party. The drinks are the bomb and the bartenders and very friendly. There is an out door area that overlooks the Ft Lauderdale beach. The management are very present and make you feel right at home

$ 17.5 for a draft beer & a Bahama-mama. Outrageously EXPENSIVE drinks. Wish I’d know about the ridiculous prices First. Pretty smelly and dank inside.

Good outdoor seating, have their own amberbock beer that’s pretty decent as well as some really good microbeer bottles. Happy hour 4 – 7 M-F as well — 2 for 1’s, and Tuesday 7−2am 2 for 1 craft beers! Nice chill spot, good music level.

Second time at this spot… very chill like last time. Bartenderbis friendly and accommodating. Non-smoking, which I appreciate. Quiet, unassuming spot for a cocktail on the beach.

They have renovated it and put a second story in. Have projection big flat screen TVs and an open section upstairs with the dance floor definitely way better than it used to be.

This place is absolutely awesome! College style beach bar downstairs with Irish flair! Beer pong tables, and a friendly staff! At night… The upstairs is the best part with a two story dance club! The top floor is open air overlooking the beach!!! Amazing!!!

Came here on a whim because we wanted a second floor bar on the beach. We walked upstairs and were immediately greeted and served. The bartender, Mike, was not only the best bartender we have ever had, but his personality and enthusiasm changed him from friendly bartender to friend. It’s a great location and bar, but Mike made our entire night. We will be back because our experience was beyond excellent. Thank you, Mike.

Mcsorely’s is a good bar on the beach with 3 levels(although it’s more like 2 ½). It has a nice atmosphere with a great selection of drinks and a few taps on draft. The main bar(which is also the biggest of three) is on the first level and seems to be staffed by 1 – 3 bartenders depending on how busy things are. There’s a nice large area towards the back/left of the bar where you can play beer pong or pool. To get to the upper levels, you need to go back out the main entrance, into their small patio area and head through the door to the left(if you are facing the building) and up the stairs. There is another bar on this level and room to get your dance on if that’s your thing. Head outside again, up another shorter flight of stairs and your on the rooftop which is pretty awesome with a nice view of the ocean. On this floor you’ll find the last bar. Although this is an excellent place to cool down after a day at the beach there are a few things to know. One is that they don’t serve any food. A downer if you like to munch on mozzarella sticks or onion rings while you drink. Have no fear as there are many businesses in the area that serve food and you can enjoy it with your drink. The other negative is that when you check-in through Unilocal you can get a free shot. However, you must write a review to get this shot therefore manipulating the Unilocal rating system.

This was a nice surprise on my trip to Ft. Lauderdale; I loved the atmosphere but it wasn’t really an Irish bar. No biggie. They had different floors; We ended up on the second floor most of the time where they had a dance area. The«dance floor» is surrounded by screens more like a club type of scene. There’s a VJ that did a great job of putting current top 20 music blended with some classics. The first floor was kind of dive-y and more of a bar top kind of crowd and there’s also a 3rd floor that I didn’t visit but I believe is a rooftop lounge style. There’s no food or specials. This is a great spot to visit after the beach

Patron beware of the inflated rating seen on Unilocal. This place offers«free shots» if you write a good Unilocal review. Just like the rating, however, the staff and owners have inflated egos as well. Downstairs bartenders on 12⁄05 were lovely and one jolly owner with a big smile actually greeted my party and I as we ordered our first drinks. Stay there because it only gets worse as you venture upwards. The bartenders on the roof were rude, avoided me, and pour weak drinks in tiny plastic cups for way too much money. Then the bouncer actually grabbed me and threw me out for doing absolutely nothing. He claimed I wrote a bad review on Unilocal(as if that’s grounds for anything to begin with) and I refused to acknowledge it because at the time I had done no such thing(see time stamp on this review and my so easy to distinguish Unilocal picture). I was embarrassed in front of my party, that consisted of my boss and coworkers. Then when I asked to speak to the owner to let him know what happened, a different gentleman approached me and argued with me that my story kept changing and no that’s not what happened, etc etc. Soon the whole gang was down there making up stories. I wasn’t even asking for anything, I just wanted to let the owner know that something was amiss. Thanks guys, wih the plethora of bar choices out there, my party and I will surely never be back!

Paying $ 13 for the worst gin martini with a lemon twist I’ve had in a long time served by someone who wasn’t really friendly wasn’t my thing. Only thing this place has going for it is the location I guess.

What a gem! This place was conveniently located directly next to the hotel my wife and I were staying at for the weekend – what luck! We wandered over on a Saturday evening at about 10 and were glad we did. This place stands out on many fronts, but above all it’s relaxing and unpretentious atmosphere that so often clutters the other bars in the area. It’s other attributes have to include the layout of the building itself. The first floor is a cozy room with a wrap-around bar that is more conducive to having a drink and enjoying a conversation while watching some sports. Then you go upstairs, where things instantly shift gears as the lighting changes to more of a club-scene and the DJ is pumping out a fantastic mix of old school hop hop along with today’s hits. Wander to the opposite end of the room and out the patio door and this is where this place really shines. The breeze is coming off the ocean, which is directly across the street. There is a fantastic open area with high-top tables and bar stools along with an outdoor bar. The same great music is playing, often with the accompanying music video on a number of projectors – a nice touch especially for the 90’s hip hop. Prices are decent and the staff was great. My only knock is that the beers all tasted off, and I had a few different ones. Some tasted like they changed kegs to totally different beers without flushing the lines out first, while others were just under carbonated. But this shouldn’t stop you from coming. I would drink mud just to enjoy the outdoor rooftop bar again.(Well, maybe not literally, but you get it) My wife and I are already planning our next trip back to Fort Lauderdale Beach, largely to revisit this place. Wish it was closer to home! Enjoy.

I really liked this place following my first visit. The lower portion reminds me of the corner bars up in Milwaukee. It’s important to note that northern cities, in general, have neighborhood ‘dive’ bars where everyone knows everyone. Friendly. Sports on the TV’s. Good conversation. I stopped in on Memorial Day at around 1 p.m., and a host of baseball games were on, including my Brewers. I struck up good sports conversations with some of the ‘regulars’ as I consumed Yeunglings on tap. They have a limited selection of tap beers, which is perfectly fine. A larger selection of tap beers would not suit this place as it may attract pretentious a-holes, like myself. Ha. Yeah, I admit it. I’m a beer snob, but I’m a logical, reasonable beer snob who will not turn down a Bud Light or Miller Lite in the spirit of having a good time. They have an upstairs, too, but I learned in talking with the folks here that they open it up Thursday to Sunday. In reading some previous reviews the roof portion caters to a younger, more enthusiastic crowd, which may not be up my alley, per se. No food here, but you can order some pizza from next store, and bring it on in. This place has three or four places nearby where you can order food. You can also grab some seats outdoors and people-watch on A1A. Some terrific views of Fort Lauderdale Beach. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Decent bar to hang out in(on the patio if you can and enjoy the view) and enjoy a brew. Nothing special but very close to the beach. On a Saturday night the music was just too damn loud inside!!!
