Yo! Lord knows that I can ALWAYS find fault at restaurants. I’m picky picky picky! The service is slow, the waitress is rude, the food is NEVER hot enough, IT tastes blah… whateva! Well, I am very happy to say that this is NOT the case with GG’s of NY. I don’t usually rave, but THESERVICEISAMAZING ! THEFOODISAMAZING… and HOT! Even the coffee was… you guessed it… AMAZING! You have to stop here if you’re looking for a good Italian meal… you can’t go wrong.

This place is OK, but I’ve been to better Pizza Places and Italian Restaurants. Prices aren’t cheap and Plates and Silver Ware are ugly and damaged and dirty. Servings of Salad, Pizza and Pasta are not professional and it is looking cheap. It’s a cheap diner, not more.

I get their delivery every so often and it is pretty good! I love their garlic rolls. We usually get a pizza or two and they have always been good and delivery has been prompt. I have also had their greek salad which is pretty average.

Great family owned Italian restaurant! Awesome service and food is delicious. Servings are plentiful and made to order. The bread is so good. I love coming here to eat. For my husbands 50th birthday I had a surprise party there in the back room. Everyone was so nice.

They have excellent sauce and good food. Quantities are very small. Pizza quality has diminished greatly over the years. There are a lot of coupon deals, and their prices reflect that you will be using one.

This place is amazing. I grew up in Westchester NY and walking I to this place was like walking into a NY restaurant. The food tasted amazing and authentic. Haven’t had chicken francase so good since I lived in NY !!

My dad said my mom and him would come here as young adults and have the best food! Well let me tell you they were right… Some of the best pizza I ever had. Sauce is delicious. Cheese is fresh… The crust is crunchy and soft in the middle. Pizza isn’t greasy at all, its fluffy and light! So you just can’t stop eating it! I’ll def be back!

Enjoyed dinner so much last evening that I went there for lunch. Maria let me down on the service. I had a meatball sub and combined all the meat into one half the bread. In other words, there could have been meat. The creamed carrot soup was very good. However, the dessert was exquisite. Chocolate mousse cake was light and very rich. Sorry I had to knock it down a star but it wasn’t consistent in service and some foods were just OK. — — — — — Last night’s review. GG’s far exceeded my expectations in service and food! Maria, our server vas nice enough to bring a small sample of house wine available by the ½ carafe. I chose a by the glass wine that was better. We arrived in time for the early bird. Even though the regular prices were very reasonable, I was happy to pay early bird prices for no difference I the dishes. Salad was a good assortment of lettuce, tomatoes, red cabbage, onions and a huge amount of black olives. The bread was hot out of the oven, nice on the outside, tender and moist on the inside, served with butter. My choices were numerous but decided on chicken cutlet topped with eggplant rollatini, sauce and cheese. It came with a side order and I chose angel hair with meat sauce. The meat sauce was an up charge of $ 1 and that was fine. The eggplant on top of the chicken made a moist breast even better with the creaminess of the ricotta and lightly breaded and sautéed eggplant. The pasta needed more meat sauce(and less marinara) but Maria took care of that. My cohort had veal parmigiana with the eggplant rollatini with a side of sautéed vegetables. The veggie bowl was huge and very well seasoned. That bowl was inhaled. I wish I’d saved room for their homemade desserts. The ambiance was cute and had a definite homey feel. The place, though busy, was exceptionally clean. I am so happy that we didn’t go to the two other Unilocal contenders and will definitely return to GG’s!

Not sure why this place has only 3.5 stars… I used to come here often years ago when I worked in the area. My company would even get our meetings catered from there or we would have the meetings at the actual restaurant. The food was always plentiful and delicious and the staff super accommodating and friendly. I changed jobs and moved too far to make it there but, I’m now back in the area for work and went back today for the first time in years… It was just as I remembered it! Delicious!!! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. It came with a house salad with awesome Italian dressing, four garlic rolls(which are spectacular but I could o my eat 1) and the main course was a huge plate with Alfredo goodness! That sauce is just mouth watering! Can’t wait to have my leftovers for dinner! If you’re expecting a fancy meal, go elsewhere. This is homemade Italian style eating! I’ll be going back more often!

The $ 6 personal pizza is extremely delicious especially if you get it with plain cheese. It’s very cheesy and rich pizza with an excellent taste. The bathroom here was clean, which shows they care. This place is worth coming to! It’s in a good area with opera Italian music playing. Very packed on evenings! Nice location and nice restaurant!

We go to GG’s a few times a month since we love their pepperoni pizza. It’s simple and delicious. Even eating the leftovers the next day is delicious. This restaurant has been here for a VERY long time. I think I went to it back in the 1990’s. It’s about as close as you are going to get in South Florida to an authentic Italian joint like they have in Jersey or New York. Also, it’s very family oriented, so if you have a large group & want a cozy Italian place, then this is it.

Excellent dinner and service. Best meal we had while we were in Florida. Make sure you order garlic rolls and fried calamari. Our server was top notch! She actually seemed to care if we had a good dinner and good time. She was very attentive. The décor is old world style Italian flair. If we lived close by we would be a regular. We had a certificate so extra good value!

OK, so I had the same thing again on my second visit, why? Because I love my pasta with broccoli!!! This time it was perfect! The chicken was nice and tender and the pasta and broccoli were cooked to perfection!!! I still layered the parmigiana cheese a few times, but the food was perfect today! The garlic knots were good as always and the salad was what you would expect.

The food at this place is not very good. I got the chicken parm and the portion was for a kid, 1 strip of a piece of cheese that covered 50% of the chicken it was on. They actually cut a full slice of cheese in half to put on it! My wife got the meatball and pasta and wow that was terrible. I have never had a meatball that was that bad and she didn’t eat it. The only good part about the food was the garlic knots which had a good balance of oil and garlic. I am not being over critical, the food is just that bad here. I would not come back even if it was for free.

For me, this is one of those restaurants where I always order the same thing. I only come here when I’m in the mood for meat ravioli parmesan. I’ve been coming here since 1996, and although this is not necessarily the fanciest Italian food you’ll ever eat, it is consistent. For me, it’s simple comfort food. I come here when I want to be able to sit down in a place that isn’t too noisy, even when they’re busy, and enjoy a meal in a comfortable familiar environment. It is definitely one of my go to places when I’m not in the mood to try something new. I have tried other things on the menu, such as chicken marsala, which is also excellent. Their pizza is also solid. Another item on the menu I can recommend is there meatball sub. Since it is served on their delicious homemade rolls, you can’t go wrong there. Take it for someone who’s been coming here for 19 years — this is a good place to eat.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here since I was a child. The food has always been good, and at certain times and dishes, it’s been great! The only thing I was unhappy with on this last visit was my server, Leah. I felt she was rushing us, and she even made some comments about an old couple next to us being rude, because she forgot to bring them lemons and they called her out in it. The other servers around the restaurant were far more courteous and friendly and helped us out when Leah was no where to be found.

Food is amazing! From the tomatoes on the salad that were bright red and delicious to the garlic rolls! Alfredo has a great flavor and there was plenty for leftovers!

:( Well, my sister said she loves this place, so I was looking forward to it. Alas, it was just not great. The food, at least. Service was good. I had the shrimp scampi. It was bland… and you should know that I am NOT one to add salt to food. In fact, I’m pretty sensitive to saltiness, so that should tell you something about how under-seasoned the dish was. Additionally, the pasta was way overcooked. It immediately turned to mush in my mouth. My SO had the ravioli, which I did not try, but with which he was equally disappointed. I also had a glass of the house red, which was drinkable… but not much more than that. The garlic rolls were alright. [cricket noises]

I’ve been here twice for their New York style pizza. I love it! Service is good, staff are nice, they have good early bird specials that I want to try, and the restaurant is quaint. Overall a nice little place. I’ll be back for sure!
