Can’t say enough about this place. I am used to excellent Italian food being from NJ and this place delivers! Everything was outstanding. Dont pass this place up. Just saw a pizza get delivered and its paper thin. Next time…

I’m not a fan of Italian food but I was extremely tired and did not want to go to far to grab dinner tonight. My husband wanted some pizza so we decided to try this place out. I ordered the shrimp scampi. It was probably one of the best I have ever had. Usually when I’m in the states, I’m not big on Italian food because all it usually contains is cheese on bread or cheese on pasta. Not a lot of flavor. The shrimp scampi had amazing butterfly shrimp plenty of it. And the flavors were just phenomenal. Usually this dish other places is just shrimp with a lot of lemon. I loved it here. Too bad we don’t have this joint in Houston. Great find.

Classic Italian. Friendly atmosphere. More than adequate portions. Took several meals home. Pasta side was a meal in itself. Lasagna excellent veal and chicken marsala superb. Caesar side salad that came with the meal was good wine Chianti Perfect Touch. Definitely put this high in my Italian food stop.

Fried calamari was the best I ever had. But the main course, Scallops with linguine in a white wine garlic sauce, was terrible. There was barely any sauce on the pasta and the scallops tasted very seafoody, they were very pungent and not mild like most scallops that I have had. Overall an ok experience.

I have to say i am very amazed with how great the service and food is here. I recommed this place to everyone. We ordered the chicken parm and it was so delicious. Vinny is great and welcomes us like family. Love this place.

One more time, actually this is our favorite PIZZA place. Whenever we feel the«need» for PIZZA, we order and pick up a cheese pizza from Franco & Vinny’s…we ask for it to be extra thin and well done. It never disappoints… always the best around… But, this is real Italian style PIZZA, if you like thick gooey pizza overloaded with cheese… thi is not for you…

So we read up on this place an decided to go. Chic wanted Italian and I never do. The menu looked pretty cool and it was only 6 min away. Once we got there we got seated immediately and served. Food was great they had a tv near the small bar and a nice fish tank.

Do not judge a book by its cover! Walked by this place 4x, husband thought we should go, I thought different. Planned on a different restaurant, needed transportation that fell through. Thankfully, because this place over excited our expectations!!! Incredible food, atmosphere and great service! Sandra and staff were incredible! Wish we came here earlier!

Not on their pizza game tonight! Burnt crust and the ‘meatball’ topping was salty, shaved beef; other topping sliced mushroons was minimal. Good service though.

OMG! Tonight was my second visit and they do not disappoint! Recently had surgery on my jaw and shouldn’t do much chewing(keep it soft) well haven’t had veal in forever and they had the Veal Sorentino on the menu, sounded so tempting I couldn’t resist, so glad I didn’t resist! You didn’t need a knife, so tender like butter, never had better any place. Service was great as well. No question that I’ll be returning again.

We came in as a party of 8 assuming there would be a long wait but they made arrangements to get us seated almost immediately. I got the penne ala vodka which id absolutely recommend, but I tried my friend’s fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and I’ll be getting that next time! Our waitress was attentive and allowed us to split checks. I’m looking forward to coming here again!

Delicious food! No wait on a Saturday night. The waiter Chris was very nice, they probably could have used more servers. But a great experience overall

If you are looking for fine dining, don’t go here. If you want delicious, Italian food with great service, this is your place! The salad is OK. Good dressing, out of season tomato slice. Great bread, butter in foil wrappers. So not fancy, but the entrees were spectacular and our server was top notch. Beer and wine only. Good wine by carafe. A great restaurant find.

We ordered a pizza and some side salads. I told the server we have a tree nut and mushroom allergy between the two of us. He assured us it was no problem. We started to eat the pizza and saw small mushrooms in the pizza. The manager came over and said it was no big deal, there shouldn’t be any other mushrooms in the pizza. Being highly allergic, we didn’t want to risk it. No apology but said he would make us one half of a pizza! Haha, no thanks. The owner/manager was so rude and didn’t care we could be using an EpiPen later.

We’re from Chicago and everyone says they don’t have good pizza in Florida. WRONG. This place has supurb pizza. We met Vinny, the owner and he was as nice as can be. The pizza was great and so was he.

We were looking for a good, classic Italian meal and that us what we got. Food was excellent and came out piping hot. We shared the antipasto which was a nice mix of meats, cheese and greens with their house dressing. Very tasty and filling. I had the Chicken Sorrentino which was two large chicken cutlets pan fried topped with eggplant, Prosciutto and cheese in a nice tomato sauce with a side of spaghetti. My wife had the Mussels and Clams over Linguini — mussels and clams in the shell in a tangy tomato sauce. Both were excellent. A few tips. Parking is very tight but there is ample parking in lots around the restaurant. Also, the antipasto, while great, had lots of salad greens and the house dressing which made the complimentary salad with our dinners unnecessary. Next time I’ll save the antipasto for when we get a pizza and try some of their other apps instead. Definitely gonna go back for more…

We were visiting from out of town and this restaurant was recommended by the hotel. It was excellent! We had two delicious seafood entrees and hope to return to try to pizza. Excellent service!

This place was a quick walk away from my hotel and pretty tasty. We ordered fried mozzarella, garlic cheese bread and our meals. The appetizers were great, I wish I had that cheese bread right now! There was a mix up with my baked ziti, I had mentioned that it needed to be a meat free sauce so they took that as I did not want cheese and I wanted noodles & marinara. I didn’t. I immediately told my waiter that I needed cheese to be complete and they whipped me up a traditional, cheesy baked ziti. I was very happy! Very good service!

Great food, friendly waitress, comfortable atmosphere. Best veal parm I ever had and the wife thoroughly enjoyed her seafood over pasta dish. The pizza looked and smelled delicious. We will return when in the area.

Oh my Mama Mia! WOW! In town from the Pacific NW and felt like family when we walked into Franco & Vinny’s. 40 years of Goodness dished up perfectly in every plate that hit our table. From the meatballs to the garlic bread, spaghetti, carbonara, rigatoni and penne ala Vodka, it was unbelievable! Our server was Outstanding. It was authentic, enjoyable and the Best dinner stop for a family to dine together. The kids didn’t even pull out their cell phones. That is saying something! Get there and ENJOY! :) Grazi mille!!!

Great service. Food was good with hefty portions. The 16″ cheese pizza is thin crust goodness and enough to feed a small army. Kids meals were adult sized and very tasty homestyle meatballs. Highly recommend. Prices were good considering the quality of the food

Travelled here from out of town. Great place for the family to eat. Homemade pastas! Had the homemade raviolis, vodka pasta(2 thumbs up), calamari, cheese pizza, fruiti de mari, spaghetti and meatballs and all were really yummy. Service was excellent, the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. They had a very nice high chair for baby that attached to the table. Would definitely come back for more food. Too: Servings are very large. Family style is a good option for larger parties.

We had a late dinner and it was good, but not great. The stuffed chicken and garlic bread were solid, but the broccoli rabe tasted like pure garlic(in a bad way). I’m a fan of garlic, but it was simply overwhelming. The cannoli was tasty, with a filling more dense than most. Our waiter, a nice fella from Croatia, was delightful and we never went without something we wanted while dining.

Hmm, what can I say about this place? I had a scallop dish that was so bad I couldn’t even finish it. I was angry at myself for not sending it back. The other three people in my party seemed to enjoy their food. The fried calamari was not bad. Maybe stick with the pizza or classic Italian dishes. It was close to our hotel and we needed to eat something quickly.

I arrived late on a Thursday night and was seated immediately. My waitress, Penelope, was very nice and truly enthusiastic. I had the eggplant parmigiano. The restaurant offered whole wheat pasta for an extra charge. That was a nice option. My food came out piping hot. It’s not fancy but it is good. My sole complaint was the bill. It was hand written and not clear to me. I dont think there was any deliberate overcharge, I just couldn’t tell if it was accurate.

We did a quick Unilocal search looking for a nice restaurant, family friendly, and someplace close to my wife’s Aunt’s hotel. Franco & Vinny showed up…and i’m glad it did. Living in Denver, we have a real weakness in the Italian cooking area. My guess is Italians stopped in St Louis then decided California or bust. This restaurant hit the Italian/American spot. Everything was loved. . from the Chicken Parma, the kids pizza, to the pasta dish my wife got. Not a plate went home empty. . The restaurant allowed us to call ahead(which was a life saver with a 2 year old and a 5 year old). The service was average.. .but nothing bad(or like wow). Just decent service at a good restaurant. On a saturday night it was packed, so calling ahead may be a great option for your family.

Great neighborhood authentic Italian restaurant. We had osso buco, spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna and split it 4 ways. It was perfect! House dressing was zesty and flavorful(each entrée came with a salad) plus we ordered burrata cheese salad with mixed field greens drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was wonderful. Highly recommend it. Only negative — didn’t care for the bread and pizza wasn’t my style. Both too thin and too much cornmeal(old style)

We were staying at the Sonesta, and our bar tender Anthony, suggested this place. We walked to the restaurant from our hotel. Very close and convenient. It was a Sunday evening about 830 pm. Pretty busy when we got there, but we still got seated right away. It cleared out pretty fast after we got our food. We ordered one small mushroom and sausage pizza and shrimp scampi. I’m from Minnesota, and this shrimp was so fresh and so good, and so big. The scampi sauce was really good. A citrus zing to it. I’ve never ordered shrimp scampi before… I thought it was really good. The pizza was pretty good too. Thin crust, but soft. Quality ingredients. Omg, the bread and butter that goes with dinner order was so good too! It was about $ 40 for both our dishes. I would definitely recommend this place! I didn’t get a chance to visit the restroom… The mister did and he said it was pretty tight. Other than that, we had a great experience.
