Flamingo Park

This is my little park! Love it-​wish it was open earlier so I could get in a run before work!

This park is running distance from my house. And if you know me, running distance can’t be too far!
I have jogged over to this park a few times now in an effort to live a healthier life. I don’t come nearly as often as I should — but it’s nice to have it so close.
They have a baseball field (never seen it being used), a couple of basketball hoops (always packed with kids), a playground (yep, you guessed it: always packed with kids!) and a nice «trail» that wraps around the entire park. There is a nice lake and I always peek in hoping to see some sort of wild animal (perhaps looking for motivation to run faster?) but it’s always empty. All the way in the back there is also a large field where I assume they play soccer (also never seen it in use.)
They have some vending machines by the playground if you need a Gatorade fix.
As far as parks go, this one is very well maintained. The grass is always cut — and compared to other parks I have seen, always green! The courts look to be in good shape although in my late 20’s (you don’t need to know) I wouldn’t dare step foot on that court with a bunch of teenagers.
Great park for a little stroll, to bring the kids or maybe (SOMETIMES) get a jog in!
