I was in the commissary today and my cashier’s name is Alexander. I looked at the candy and saw a king size kit Kay bar for what I saw was priced at 55 cents. Thinking this was too good to be true I pick it up ready to purchase it until I saw the expiration date(may 2015). So I search for others that have the exact expired date on them.(so basically the whole box) I didn’t buy it because I think that is discusting. I ask Alexander does the candy get changed out and he gave me a short answer«yes» and didn’t even offer to show me if there were any still in date and acted like he didn’t care about the concern of his customer. I thought this was rude and I couldn’t leave this store without leaving a complaint in this review. As a customer service employee myself, I would of went out my way to help the customer get what they want instead of shrugging them off like they don’t matter. Alexander needs to show better customer service or leave. I don’t think I want to shop in a place where I perceive someone as careless.

Love it. Less crowded and shelves are stocked will and everything is clean. Employees are wonderful and very helpful . Have to say love the meat Dept. They were out of cubed steak but set thing up and made it for me. Was fresh and tasted wonderful. I really appreciate them for making my party food yummy.

This commissary is the better of the two on fort hood. I love the coupons available in store but sometimes I do find expired items in the freezer. Still a clean and friendly commissary.

Today they had a case lot sale, it was organized and not very busy. That made it very easy to get things and move along. The check out was quick and they handled the amount of people very nicely. Parking was a bit of a hassle but only because of the car lot sale. Great for your everyday needs if you don’t want to drive into town.

Was visiting my uncle on base and was quite impressed with all the options he had! Prices were awesome, especially for him ;), and wasn’t too crowded. Nothing worse than waiting in lines at these places, but this warrior way had no lines each time i went. Glad to know my uncle is being taken care of on base!

This is one of the two commissaries at Fort Hood. I have been to both when in the area but think I would rather frequent this particular one as it is not as busy as the Clear Creek Commissary.

This commissary is much better than the Clear Creek Commissary. They have the typical issues all commissaries have: very little variet(except in junk food), they are CONSTANTLY out of stuff, there are always products in the refrigerator cases that are expired and the produce is less than stellar. What can I say, I’m used to the commissary nonsense. I only go about once a month because that is all I can handle now that they have started constuction(which has been going on for nearly six months now). It’s just too much of a pain to get around in there and stuff is forever changing places with no markers to indicate where it is. They do have a good selection of health foods like«Bob’s Redmill» products and almond and soy milks.

This is Fort Hood II. All I can say about Fort Hood is WOW! Only time I’ve seen a base with two. yes TWO commissaries. They stagger the days closed so that there is always at least one open. My visit here was to investigate if they had Dublin Dr. Pepper(with cane sugar). The other day I’d been in Dublin and scored 10 cases from the Factory. Although they didn’t have Dublin Dr. Pepper here, they did have her twin sister Killen Dr. Pepper. It boasts the old style 10−6−2 label. Both use cane syrup. There is a slight taste difference between the two dad likes Dublin better as it has a sweeter taste. I prefer the Killeen taste as its got that ‘burn’. Thought I’d check out here to see if it was cheaper. It was! I believe it was like $ 1.49 per six-pack. That’s cheaper that regular pops in the grocery store! My little cheapskate heart started doing back flips. I was so thrilled, that I packed my cart with all of the six packs that were on the shelves. That cart was so heavy that I had a hard time wheeling it around corner. I went down the pickle aisle to look for a good sweet pickle(of course they had nothing) I forgot to check baking aisle for pioneer brand baking mix. I just thought as tired as I was, better off going back to hotel. I pushed my cart to the front(which at that point, looked like I was a contestant from the show ‘Supermarket Sweep’.) I gasped at the line and remarked to the kid«wow, this is going to take forever». The lady in front of me turned around saying«this is nothing, it gets worse than this». Then she stopped, looked down at my 8 cases of pop, back up to me, back down to pop and looked at me once again with a somewhat confused look. I gave her a few min so say something. When she didn’t, I just said«I get thirsty». I really like this little commissary. It is close to my house. Also the staff has always been helpful and friendly. The selection is decent over all. I just wish they had fresh seafood. That’s my only want from this store. But overall I love to shop here and you really can’t beat the prices most of the time.

Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Great prices. Never too crowded. It’s a grocery store, what more can I say? The cashiers are always super friendly and cracking jokes. Make sure you tip the baggers!

This review is for the lunch options served near the self-checkout stands. The Warrior Way Commisary is a great option for lunch at Fort Hood as it is never crowded and there are several solid options for a quick and inexpensive lunch. The food courts on post are ridiculously overpriced just like at every other base, so I’m glad to have found a spot where I can eat lunch for $ 4-$ 5. There’s always several different types of sushi rolls which are good by grocery store sushi standards, and you get a lot of sushi for about $ 5. Sandwich/wrap choices are somewhat limited, but are always fresh and only about $ 3.50.Sometimes they’ll have«deluxe» sandwiches made that run a dollar or two extra and are made with Boar’s Head meat and cheese. I don’t live near post so I don’t shop here for groceries, but when I come here for lunch I’ll cruise around to spot the occassional outrageous deals on things like cereal and other pantry staples.
