Came here with my mom during our road trip to Forks from OC. Like another reviewer said… greasiest hash browns ever and undercooked eggs. They were ordered over medium and the whites were completely runny. Wouldn’t come back here again.

If your hungry this is not the place to be. me and my wife stopped in for dinner it took over 5 minutes for someone to sit us down. we ordered two red beers two steak dinner’s. about 15 minutes later they sat two people at the table next to us. and they somehow got there food before we even got our red beer’s. My steak was raw I asked for medium my wife steak was a prim rib that had more fat than steak. and when we told the waitress she said that’s the way prime rib is and was very rude about it. So in conclusion bad food bad service and we will never eat there again.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The place had about 5 tables of customers and 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. She was obviously more interested in rushing around than providing good customer service. Our order was taken and she rushed away without even asking what I would like to drink with my meal. Our meals were delivered and before I could ask for a soda the waitress was gone. I got the Angus burger with bacon and fries, which was quite good. However, my husband got the fish and chips which were grease soaked and tasted as if they were from the frozen food section at the grocery store. He helped me finish my burger because his food was not edible. As far as the menu, it has very limited choices. If you are in Forks and see The In Place, don’t bother wasting your time or money. This is a tourist town, you would think the restaurants would hire high quality staff who are capable of more than microwaving a frozen fish fillet or actually offer the customers a drink while they wait for their order.

My friends and I are servers, so we understand slow service and being the only server on but this waitress was absolutely awful. I understand we look really young and are obviously tourists in this small town but she had no right to be so blatantly rude to us and completely nice to regulars in the booth across from ours. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. She didn’t even bother to fill up our tiny water glasses after we asked. At the end, we wanted to split the check two ways one with my food and the appetizer I was getting for the table and the rest on one. She had the audacity to say in an extremely nasty tone«are we splitting all of this?!» I only left her $ 3 and my other friends didn’t tip her at all. She could have easily made $ 20 off of our four person table if she hadn’t been such a bitch. I’m telling all my friends and family not to stop at this restaurant if they ever find themselves in forks and I hope this review reaches many.

I’ll try another place next time. Greasiest hash browns I’ve ever seen. Under cooked eggs. Appreciate staff making me fresh coffee but my breakfast came at same time so I didn’t get to enjoy it while I waited. Yes, the coffee was good but late.

Nope. Fish was cold, tough and smelled bad. Only had one bite, waitress didn’t seem to notice or care, and I just wanted to leave asap with a discussion about it. Dammit. The ONETIME I don’t refer to Unilocal first and this is what happens.

The inn place is a great place to eat after a long day of fishing. Rick the owner is a great guy and the staff has been great every time I’ve eaten there.(countless times) I recommend the angus burger my fav.

We read reviews online and weren’t expecting edible food in Forks. We scoped out the town and noticed multiple vehicles in the parking lot and decided to try The In Place. We were greeted promptly and seated in the dining room with a locally painted mural on the walls and tables. Service was quick and efficient. I had the crab and shrimp grilled sandwich with a side of broccoli cheese soup. Delicious after hiking in the rain! My husband had the angus burger and soup and thought it was delicious. The food was fresh and homestyle. The best part of the meal was meeting the owner, Rick, and learning about the town from a local. We went back the next day for lunch and had another good experience. My husband had the Cowboy Burger special and we each had the Beef Vegetable soup. Hearty and filling. The fries with the burger were battered and done perfectly. Service was prompt again. Not sure what others experienced here, but we spoke to several friendly locals while dining at The In Place and overall enjoyed this slice of small town America! Thanks for a great location Rick!

I come to Forks every once and a while, it’s nice to stop here. They have great food in my opinion. It’s relatively clean as well, from what I remember the staff is always friendly.

This place was okay. We tried this because of the limited options in Forks. We went here for dinner. The pasta dish was too soupy. I don’t like dry pasta dishes but after the noodles were gone, there was about a lot of liquid left over. Had the French Dip and it was fine.

A completely appropriate establishment. Remember now, we are in Forks. The menu is extensive. And they serve beer! I was happy with everything.

Family run joint with decent food and a friendly atmosphere. Big servings, reasonable prices. I plan on coming back tomorrow for breakfast.

We might have just hit a bad day, as our appetizer NEVER made it to the table. The waitress never acknowledge it. It was not on our ticket. So I guess she just removed it. The French dip sandwich was excellent. The salad was very good. The grilled cheese with crab meat and shrimp was excellent. The fried cob was way over fried. I think someone forgot it while it was cooking. Waitress was none existent.

They claim the fish is local and I am not sure if that is true. Waitress looked like she had better things to do than tell us about their menu. It was just ok and was over priced. If you are in Forks and looking on Unilocal you are probably a tourist. This place is pretty much what they have there and is as good as anything else around. They have a really cool bench out front.
I’ve visited this restaurant a couple times a year over the last seven years. Usually the service is spotty and the food is decent. This time the food was bad and the service was good. The menu is much too large, usually the first indication of a bad restaurant. Most of the food is reheated from the freezer. I had the fish and chips and the fish is decent. However, the tartar sauce is awful. It tastes like they make it with Miracle Whip. The other aweful part was the coleslaw. If soggy, overly mayonnaisey and flavorless is your game you will love it. Good coleslaw is quite easy to do but this restaurant has been mailing it in for years. The only thing this place has going for it is the proximity to the two main motels. I won’t be back unless it is the only option.
