I am new to Lynchburg and have had several people tell me Lil Cuccis is a must while I am here. My overall impression is that it’s a great hometown place with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. My pizza was delicious. Great seasonings in the sauce with a nice crispy crust. I will definitely be back. My only complaint is the house oil and vinegar had just a bit too much oil in it for me and I will order a different dressing next time. Other than that absolutely great experience.

I love the Sicilian special pizza! It takes longer than the chain places to prepare, but we know that and plan accordingly. The dining room is often full, so we usually order carry out. The owner is very friendly and makes the pizza right in front where everyone can see. He goes out of his way to remember your name!

Best calzones ever! The owner is so friendly and remembers everyone’s name. A Christian family owns the place and it’s such a sweet atmosphere! Sometimes I wish they were open more, but I understand. Great pizza and calzones! I can never finish a whole one.

100% mediocre Italian food. There’s no way the meatballs are homemade, the house Italian dressing was almost all oil and no flavor. The sauce certainly came from a can, but you’ll pay like it’s gourmet. We were starving so we ate it, but won’t come back. On the upside, our server was friendly.

Great gluten free pizza and super nice people. One of the first places with gluten free in the area so is always my go to when visiting family at home. Fresh salads. Big pizzas and good prices.

Amazing pizza and a great family atmosphere. We would probably eat there every day if we could. The emphasis on a family atmosphere means there isn’t any alcohol served but it doesn’t ruin the experience.

Much better than Domino’s and Pizza Hut, for a similar price. While it may not be the very best pizza around, it is by far best pizza for the money. Pizza is slightly more expensive than its competitors, but even people on a tight budget can afford to eat here. Overall, it’s a great alternative to chain pizza restaurants, as well as expensive, uptown pizza joints.

SERIOUSLY, JOE?! Ok, so as I ventured off of the pizza menu and built up the courage to try their calzones, I was prepared for a «mini» turnover that would be bready and filled with cheese. I’m not sure what mini looks like to Joe, but this calzone was huge! AND! it was not bread-y at all! It was perfect, full of cheese and whatever you asked for(I had mozzerella, ricotta and broccoli). I was surprised, in a good way, how the dough wasn’t overwhelming the calzone and allowed the cheese to just ooze out. I wasn’t in any particular«bad» mood, but I felt really cheerful while eating this thing… so if I WAS in a bad mood, this would definitely cheer me up!(Emotional eating at it’s finest) :) Well done, AGAIN, Joe!

Lynchburg you can not be a major city without amazing pizza!!! I know they’re in Forest but its close enough. Lil’ Cucci’s is NEWYORKPIZZA hands down. The crust is right. The sauce is right. The cheese is right. They are a very family oriented business, and very welcoming soon as you walk through the door. Become a regular and they will remember you by name!

By far my favorite Italian eatery in the Forest/Lynchburg/Bedford area. Their pizza is fantastic, as well as their sandwiches, but my personal favorite is their calzone. The«mini» size is actually pretty decently portioned so don’t be afraid of its less than filling name. The staff is very friendly and they always remember my name and my order when I walk in. Great local business!

I stop here every time as I pass through the area to get great food. It is not just pizza that is great but salads and sandwiches that are always superb. AND if you have not tried the pumpkin cheesecake you are missing the best ever and that includes NY. In addition the service is outstanding and Joe calls me by name when I enter. If I lived in that area I would eat there often.

Slowwwwww. Took 30+ min to get our pizza. Plus they don’t serve beer… The ingredients were obviously all bought from sysco. canned mushrooms, canned sauce, I think the crust was made there though but it Wasn’t very good. Very bland and uninspired pizza. Not sure why they try to charge you for garlic. I kid you not. Garlic is an optional«topping». Shouldn’t that be an ingredient? Maybe If they make ALL their pizzas with garlic they might not be so bland. Just a suggestion. Cheers!

I’ll make this brief: 1. The pizza is tremendously over-priced, it’s not that good, and there are few options. 2. They don’t serve beer because they are obnoxiously religious. 3. From the looks of it on a Friday night it’s only for families who look like they lived next to «The Beave» and still do. 4. Speaking of «the beave»…they have no sense of humor about the name of the restaurant which should have been named something else if they didn’t have a sense of humor about the name of the restaurant. I may not have my last name changed if it were«Butt» but I probably wouldn’t want anyone to «eat at butt’s» either.

We were showed up with a party of 15 and they were very accommodating! The food was fabulous! I had the best eggplant Parmesan I have ever eaten, and the cannoli was to die for! Great place for families, I would recommend it for great Italian food!

I was one of the first coustmers to ever eat at Lil Cucci’s when it opened years back. At that time there was a passion from the owners that was expressed in the food. Yes they dont serve beer or alcohol but it is a family environment. The food was great and the place was so clean. Sadly as time has passed the place is not the same, you can see scuff marks over the entire place. The carpet has seen better days, and what was good food has now become canned goods. The last time my family dined there was the last time Ill ever support this business. I attend a busy friday night at the restaurant as all fridays there are extremely busy. You will have to wait for a table and be shoulder to shoulder with other costumers waiting for a table as the waiting lobby isnt a lobby but a narrow hallway. I supported this restraunt as I dined there from the opening and the owner was super friendly to me. So my family would go out there once a month. Once we got our table and our food a coustmer was walking around talking to all the tables. She then started talking to the table right next to me with her rear behind right in my face as I tried to eat. I asked her to move, she looked at me and gave me this disgusted face. She then went right back to talking to this other table. I went to the cashier as no one told this lady she would have to wait with everyone else in the hall and you cant have your rear end in everyones face. As I approached the cashier she knew I was coming to complain and I was greeted with a attitude. I explained i was trying to eat and that this lady had her rear end in my face, if she could ask her to move. She then said«thats Mrs. whoever she is a daily costumer thats just what she does». So I asked if she thought it was ok she was doing this and she stated she was a regular. Basically telling me that they cater to regulars. So I guess my once a month visits didn’t mean anything to them. But it gets better, I return to my table where m wife tells me her calzone isn’t cooked all the way as it is still doughy. So I brought this up to my server, she then told the cashier who came over and stated«we arent going to make you happy tonight are we». This place has really fallen off big time, I dont know if they just dont have the heart like they use to but this is a place I will not recommend not will I support.

An excellent italian restaurant! I love to support local businesses and this restaurant was a great choice. I didn’t realize that they have been in the area for 6 years and I am disappointed that I didn’t come sooner. Be prepared, the restaurant is a little small but the atmosphere is delightful! I will definitely get all of my pizza from this place from now on!

Best pizza in this area — period. Owner is so nice and greets everyone while they walk in. It’s on the pricier side for pizza, but like I said, it’s the best. Seating is limited so don’t come too late on Fri or Sat. They’re church goin’ folk, so don’t stop by on Sunday! :-)

Great local Italian joint! The friendliest staff around, great menu selection and quality food. We bring our guests from out of town here all the time. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by a dough tossing Joe standing in the kitchen crafting pizzas while entertaining the waiting patrons. He will ask for your name and more than likely remember it on your next visit. The pizza is delicious and hot as are the sandwiches and pasta. The bread that they make is incredible and almost a meal in itself. We will normally order the cheese bread as an appetizer, which is large enough to share with four people if not more. The restaurant is a little small, so might have to wait a few minutes and chat with Joe, but it is well worth it. Also, call ahead to make sure they are open if it is anywhere near a holiday. Joe is quite the family man and likes to shut down in order to spend quality time with them. Ciao!
