After exploring many daycare options both downtown & in the Forest Park area, we settled on Giving Tree when my son was just about 3 months old. He’s 22 months now and we’re still happy with our choice. What set GT apart was their structured but relaxed atmosphere, their openness (they allow drop in visits from approved visitors like grandparents), and were open to cloth diapers. I also appreciate how they let the child lead with weaning and sleeping (up to a point on the later, anyway) rather than enforce a rigid atmosphere.
No daycare is perfect as it’s not YOU, but I know that my son talks fondly about his teachers and little classmates and interacts with a range of ages and abilities that we just don’t have access to at home.
