Unfortunately I have to say I made an effort to go to this barber shop and was extremely put off by the poor attitude and unprofessionalism. I called the number listed and asked them if they were open and the person on the other line told me to just show up. I walk there and it turns out the shop is closed on Mondays! Called the number I had again and it turns out the number is of the previous owner, who picks up and says he forgot to tell me it’s closed on Mondays. Ok, so disappointed but not put off completely. I call the next day looking to try again, except this time I call the right number(Randolph Street Barber Shop). I ask a few questions about availability and if they’re busy, and he curtly says«I’m busy». I tried to see when they might be free, but he ended the conversation there. Guess they don’t need my business, and I guess they wouldn’t need your business either.

As another reviewer said I called the number previously associated with Jerry’s Barbershop and talked to the now retired owner. He gave me the new number to the new place(Randolph Street barber Shop) and I went in for a cut. Jim fixed my hair from a previous bad try at finding a barber and I’m very happy. Great cut for a great price!

I’m in town cuz a family member is sick. Flew out at the last minute. But I really need a haircut. I used Unilocal to find a simple barber to give a quick haircut. I called this one. Guy answers, «hello?». I say, is this a barber shop? He says, «we’re closed, dummy.» I say, did you just call me a dummy? «you are a dummy.» that’s the entire conversation. So, if you’re closed, why are you answering your phone, «Dummy»? Your personal number is your business number as well, «Dummy»? This is how you want to run your business, «Dummy»? Please. If you decide to frequent this place, refer to the barber as «dummy». I’m not from Chicago. And if this is the welcome to the town…

My husband and I have been looking for somewhere he can go for a decent haircut that is professional but still affordable for regular maintenance. We found this place online and gave it a shot, and were quite pleased. The stylist was extremely nice and able to ask the right questions to figure out what my husband wanted for a haircut, and we were both pleased with the results.
