I’ve walked past this place a million times and finally decided to give it a try based on the Unilocal reviews. My date got the happy hour sushi which is a phenomenal deal– beware of tobiko(fish eggs) which they will apply to your sushi if you don’t ask them not to. I got the hibachi steak which came in a decent sized portion, and was cooked to order right in front of me. They also do happy hour specials on some alcohol, which is a nice addition to any meal. Gary was our hibachi chef and had a great show and wonderful personality. The staff was all pleasant and everyone thanked us for our business which is a welcome change of pace in the hustle and bustle of New Yoke Citay! Come on out to Shogun Hibachi today!

You want Hibachi style cuisine? Wanna pay extra for fried rice, while you’re surrounded by families with kids or groups celebrating someone’s birthday or an event? Then Shogun Hibachi is THE place for YOU. Watch the knives fly, butter melt and shrimp shrink on the Hibachi table, while you suck down your drink and look around at your table mates, most of whom you’ll never see again. Opt for the lobster tail and shrimp, they’re succulent and yummy. And engage with your Hibachi chef for goodness sake! They’re so nice and really work at entertaining patrons.

The Japanese restaurant is better than the neighboring Japanese restaurant. Good prize, food is delicious and staff are nice and friendly.

One of my favorite hibachi places in queens. The owners are always so friendly and accommodating. Some of the best severs/service that I’ve had at hibachi have been here at this place. The prices are great and the portions are HUGE! The food is super flavorful, no need for extra soy sauce or to ask for more garlic. Totally forgot to take a pic of my plate of deliciousness. I am a hibachi fanatic which makes me a tough critic. I love Nigori sake. Here they serve it in a flask not in the actual bottle. I’ve ate at their hibachi as well as their sushi area. Every time I leave I can not wait to go back.

The atmosphere here is delightful and happy. The staff and manager make it happy. They make the best darn sushi in the area now. It’s fresh and the cuts are large. The Hibachi is also fun. Recommend you try it and watch the flames shoot up from the table. Hibachi is also yummy.

This place is okay, when we went it was pretty empty, but it had a weird smell. Looked alright, food was cheap, was okay, nothing great. I’m not sure if I’d be back.

Finally went in after they reopened. Great hibachi, had steak, lobster and sushi. All very fresh and big portions. New interior and clean. Friendly service. They run great happy hour specials too. Definitely coming back.

My family loved coming here tonight. The staff was very attentive and professional; we never had to ask for our water or tea to be refilled, the waitresses were sure to do it as soon as they saw our cups half empty. But the highlight of our night was interacting with the hibachi chef, who was very entertaining and was even able to name the food he was cooking in Russian! Gotta say, my grandparents certainly got a kick out of that. The lamb was very juicy and delicious, as well as cooked and seasoned beautifully. Definitely a great place for celebrations or family night!

The family had a wonderful time at Shogun. The chef at the hibachi was entertaining and was very talkative to our kids. Staff was super attentive. They even rigged some chopsticks so my daughter could use them. Food was very, very good. We will be back.

Top service and great price for fresh tasting bento box. You get the choice of chicken, shrimp, beef or salmon for the bento box in hibachi or teriyaki sauce and hot tea for only $ 8.75 all day. Look at my pix. Definitely recommend this place right next to the train E and F.

Love this place! Made a reservation for Mother’s Day, got in 30 minutes early and had a few drinks before sitting for hibachi. Great attention and the quality of food 100%. Will come back for sure!

Beware of Google maps! It will take you to the wrong place! This place is located between 75 Ave and 75 drive on Queens Blvd. Beyond this the food was good, the service was good, the chef was funny and entertaining. And most important reasonable prices.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at newly renamed shogun hibachi ! The restaurant staff is extremely nice and attentive. Everyone was very polite and very welcoming. My boyfriend and I each ordered a roll of sushi each and then had our hibachi meal. Everything was delicious. The rolls were tightly made and very fresh. As per the hibachi it was so flavorful, absolutely delicious. Overall my man and I had a lovely experience and we will definitely be back !

The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door. Sushi and hibachi food was delicious. Great for birthday celebrations. Birthday person gets to shake and dance while the wait staff sings and play tambourines. A Buddha with a candle is offered to make a wish. Happy a good hibachi place is nearby. Will be coming back again.

Had an amazing Valentines Day dinner there with my boyfriend. The staff was attentive and kind. The hibachi performers were so nice, and funny! They made sure to ask about any food allergies, which is great. Pricing is good for what you get, especially this has been some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. If you’re into seafood, get the hibachi lobster tail and shrimp… it was delicious! Dessert is delicious as well, will definitely come back soon!

Celebrated New Years w/20 family & friends, food & staff were great and very accommodating for our large crowd. Hibachi chefs very fun and entertaining with good selection of meat and fish. They were careful to ask about allergies and accommodated that as well. Service was awesome and everyone was given party favors and 2016 light up glasses the hit of the evening. Definitely will be back!

Being a huge fan of sashimi(i.e., fish), Sho Gun did not disappoint. The fresh Toro I had was utterly delicious, even though it’s unlike any other sushi roll I’ve had before(in a good way)! Of course the fact that it’s probably super healthy is a plus :) Service is pretty friendly and quick. This is truly somewhere you have to eat at least once, just because it’s so different and unique in taste.
