Very nicely done and looks and feels a lot better than the old set up they had across the street. The food is also great, frequent the place a couple times a year and was never disappointed

Good, good, good, the whole menu is great, the fried ravioli are addictive, the kebabs are superior to most of those you may find in Manhattan, the salads are so fresh with incredible dressing far superior to those Italian ones, even the french fries are different and very delicious, desserts poor selection, and service kind of anarchic but very educated, specially when the place is crowded, but who cares about it with such an enjoyable food. The price better than fair. Not five stars because desserts and service.

Excellent food! Was here last week for a birthday dinner party. Unfortunately, it was extremely full. Good thing we had reservations. Food came out in reasonable timing. Ordered fish, chicken, lamb and beef kabobs. All delicious, nothing dry or overcooked. Also, got the fresh and pickled salads. As well as french fries, lagman soup and manti. Absolutely no complaints. Food was great. Service was OK, they tried their best to service us. Only complaint was just so loud couldn’t hear ourselves think. But not their fault was just a good day for business. Will be back agian

This is review is for the delivery I actually have never been to the restaurant but I can say their food is good and the delivery is quick and on time. The Beef, Chicken and lamb kebabs are juicy and tender. I also had the Achik-Chuck salad and the Korean carrot salad which was fresh. You must also try the Asian Pilaf salad. Great kosher place for takeout/delivery.

Nice selection, but really, if you’re coming here, you’re coming for the kebabs. Cooked just right. Start the meal with some achuk chuck salad, get some tandoori bread, a stick of sweet breads kebab(so much better than it sounds) and several sticks of lamb kebab. You will leave this place thankful and full.

Wow this place is amazing and I wish I’d had gone to eat here sooner. Went for lunch with two friends and ordered different meat and chicken skewers. Very reasonably priced for the high quality kosher meat that is served here. We started our meal with different delicious appetizers like the fried ravioli, and a few other really good ones that I can’t remember although they were also pretty good. For our main course we ate delicious lamb, lamb ribs, chicken kebab, and beef kebab. Our bill seemed very low for what we had eaten, and at the end our meal we all felt very satisfied. This place is great! 4****

I can only review for takeout but each time the food was delicious. Mind you I’ve only had the Asian pilaf and lula kebabs. The kebabs are very juicy. Second time I ordered the lula it did seem a bit undercooked for my liking but it was only a little bit that was rare. Hopefully I’ll order something else like time, like the sambusa and soup, other kebabs. Friendly service too.

Salute is one of my favorite restaurants –no question. My go to dishes are the chiburek — a fried pastry filled with beef, Langman soup, and kebab. The food is authentic and flavorful. I don’t live close by but whenever I’m in the area, I stop in or get some takeout. The atmosphere is also exciting and festive.

I love the flavor of the kebab here. They have the smokey flavor that make you wanna come back for more. Their soups are also super delicious. I got to try their«noodle soup» and it was tasty! I will come back to try out the rest of the menu.

Amazing food, great prices and great service. Highly recommended for any and all age groups. They have a wide array of soups, salads, kabab dishes, including lamb, beef, veal, chicken and even international specialties including liver, heart and other specialties. You are guaranteed to have an outstanding, perfectly cooked peice of meat, or fish, that is GLATTKOSHER.

If I know one thing its Uzbeki/Bukharian food and the quality of Salute’s dishes was a pleasant surprise. I was very pleased their kababs; fresh, tender, and juicy. The Legman was hearty and full of flavor. Crispy chebureky are a must try; I prefered the meat to the potato but both are up to par. Overall good service. Gaudy decorations but the asthetics of the food over power the interior decorating.

We used to come here a lot with my family and never had an issue until recently. My mother was here on a Saturday night with some friends and was assaulted, verbally abused and slapped by the owner himself. I want to let people know what kind of business this«man»(or shall I say animal) runs! He should be ashamed of himself for laying a hand on a woman! I wonder if he would hit a man the way he slapped my mother because a man would have punched him in the face like he deserves. My mom managed to throw a cup at him for self defense thank Gd for that! My mother should have called 911 and pressed charges on the spot and I wish she had because this is unacceptable. This is not how people should run their business. Just letting u know next time u complain about ur food smelling u could be cursed at next! He lost many devoted customers for his stupidity I will not step my foot in this place!

My husband loves this place and our friends live nearby and it’s their«go to» restaurant so whenever we visit, we meet up there. I LOVE international food but this one is alright. This was the first time I’ve tried Russian food and I haven’t’ tried other restaurant so I can’t tell if this is authentic. The lamb ke-bobs were delicious although it could be juicer. I don’t know what it’s called(our friend order everything for us) but they look like dumplings, they’re stuffed with beef and onions. they were good. Soup– steak and spicy, they’re delicious Their bread was good the first time i went, i had an upset stomach(probably from the fried dumplings or whatever that’s called) so the 2nd time i went, i avoid that food and ate everything else and it was fine… went again the 3rd time and fine too… would i go out of my way to that restaurant, no. if i’m in the area but not visiting those friends, would i go back there, no. if my friends want to eat there, sure. i’ll go.

So I come to this amazing Central Asian kosher restaurant each time I’m in NYC. It’s one of the best, fastest and cheapest places to find authentic Bukharian Jewish, Uzbek, Tajik, Central Asian and Russian food in the whole NYC area, if not the entire country! Such an amazing array of foods from dough products to meats, to appetizers to drinks and the like, if you like kebabs, yummy crispy flatbreads, delicious soups, fried and baked meat pies, this place will not disappoint, I promise you! Oh and don’t worry, they speak English too here even though you are more likely to hear Russian since it’s the lingua Franca of the soviet and post soviet émigrés who work here, but make sure you ask all the questions you want if there’s a menu item you can’t understand! The staff is very attentive and helpful! And you can charge your cell phone here for free! Lol a sample great meal starts with hot green tea, a pelmeni(dumpling) soup, fresh salad, hot and crispy homemade central Asian flat bread and yummy meat kebobs to finish it off! Nomnomnom ;)

They moved across the street! Address has not been updated on Unilocal so just make note. They make amazing fresh food and have something to make everyone happy from lamb kebabs to fish to the vegetarian kebab. They also serve delicious green tea with sugar cubes and sugar preserved pineapple. Delicious bread and hummus should also not be missed, and oh did I mention the crispy fries that come with minced garlic and fresh parsley. Go now!
