This salon is a little local gem. The staff is very sweet, this place has been around for ever, and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. It’s clean, and usually always packed. The locals flock here. I think because they have an every day mani /pedi deal for $ 17. That’s the cheapest deal in the neighborhood.

I came here a few times in the past because it’s right by my apartment. I’ve gotten manicures, pedicures, and facials there. For a budget salon in Queens, it’s was pretty decent. But I went back again 2 weeks ago right before my vacation abroad, so that I can have nice looking nails and cuticles before my big trip… Little did I know that my nails would turn YELLOW after I took off the nail polish! I’ve NEVER had this happen to me before! I don’t know if it’s in the nail polish or whatever… but don’t let this happen to you! Good thing my nails grow back fast…

The highlight of my experience here was a VERY good eyebrow wax; it lasted much longer than most, and with no lasting redness or clogging of pores afterwards. I got the regular pedicure(they will try to push the spa one on you for extra $$), and a regular manicure. They do a decent job; I only have 2 complaints. 1. They can be somewhat abrupt and harsh in manner– one woman told me that wanting my very short fingernails rounded instead of square was old-fashioned. 2. Their nail dryers are an absolute joke, and you’ll be better off just letting them air-dry or blowing on them yourself, which will result in a stronger current of air. The last time I went my manicurist was very rough also, and she made one of the cuticles on my hands bleed, as well as one on on my toe, since she was being too fast and furious with the cuticle cutters.(The manicurist I had the first 2 times didn’t do that.) The price is good– for an eyebrow wax, mani, and pedi it’s about $ 38 total. I would recommend finding a manicurist you like here and sticking with her, and you’ll be good to go. Note: Despite its flaws I prefer this place to Giorgio across the street.
