Sherry and staff is back in business at 72 – 14 Austin street (ATS beauty spa). I missed her facials they are the best, and their great massages. I am happy I have a place I can go to again. I went there after seeing the sign «$ 22 for mani and pedi». The place is clean. The lady who did my nail was very nice and she took her time to make sure she removed the cuticles. I received a back massage along with my mani & pedi. I would recommend this place (it’s the least expensive on the block). Make sure to pay with cash and have your gel polish remove prior or you get charge extra.
Updated: Nail polish chipped the next day (unacceptable)

I’ve been going to NY Spa for over 6 years. The manager Sheri has always worked on me. I’ve gotten manicures, pedicures, massages, facials etc. I have NEVER EVER been disappointed. The place is super clean and the service is great. The girls are always super sweet! The only pain is parking but that’s forest hills for ya lol! It truly has been a great experience every time I go there. It’s worth it honestly, go spoil yourselves :)

I come here for my wax. Sheri does a great job and the pricing is decent compared to the other big wax chains out there.

I’m a male and I get my eye brows done here every month. Sheri runs the place as if it’s her own (she’s an employee) and my wife will not let anyone wax my eyebrows or hers except Sheri. While I am there, I usually get an hour massage from Tina who always puts me to sleep with her soothing technique. There is a lot of competition in the area for nail, waxing and massage services, but if you are lucky enough to get a facial or wax appointment with Sheri, or massage appointment with Tina, go for it!

I just got a pedicure here and it was good not amazing but good. She really gave me a good cleaning, and was very detailed which is sorta rare to find. Now I understand the $ 18 price tag. I have been trying to find a place in forest hills and this may be the best so far. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 starts was because of the massage part– was a bit rough, fast and seemed to only massage my shines which was super pleasent but overall it was a decent experience.
Lastly a tip for the manager-don’t have your workers microwave food while there is a treatment going on right in front of it. I didn’t love the sent of warmed up left overs.

I love this place. I go back and forth to TX but only let Sherri do my wax. I wait weeks until im back for her to do my eyebrows. Only place I go to for anything. TINA is awesome at massages. Just make sure you have an appointment. Best place in foresthills!!!

Just had my first facial with Sheri and it was amazing.
Got the deep cleansing facial and let me tell you, she was thorough.
I left NYSpa feeling so relaxed!

I usually come to New NY Spa to see Cheri for my manicures and pedicures. She’s very good at both. Today I called early afternoon for a spa pedicure at 8:30pm. I told her that I have a babysitter watching my toddler, and I need to be seen during my appointment time. She said that was fine. When I went for my appointment, she was seeing someone already, and informed me that I would have to wait till 9pm. I reminded her about our scheduled time and all she could say was sorry. Why do people make appointments if they can’t honor them? I found that completely unprofessional. I will never come here again. Disappointed in their customer service.

I’m on Unilocal to let people know that NY Spa is a my favorite place to have my manicure, pedicure, wax, facials and massage in all of NYC. I work in Manhattan and make it my routine to visit the lovely shopping area of Austin Street, Forest Hills to have my «spa day» every weekend. Sheri, the manager, is most accommodating, like no other business owner I’ve ever met (and I’ve been around for decades!). Her attention to detail, when it comes to manicuring and wax, are impeccable. The other people who work in the spa are delightful. It’s nice to go upstairs to the spa above the Nine West store, off the street and relax in the bright comfortable salon. I followed Sheri from SoHo to Forest Hills, she’s uniquely gifted and worth the wait for an appointment. :-)

–1 star for the manager who convinced me to get an eyebrow wax because its free for first time customers who get a massage, but then charged me for it because its only free if you make an appointment after your first service? UMM WTF 5 minutes ago you said it was free. You cant really justify arguing with someone over pennies especially when the wax and massage were pretty darn good.
I’m torn because it was a good wax and its cheap. Ill be back but wary next time

I was browsing around Austin St., and saw the sign outside offering Reiki. I went in and neither of the employees knew what I was talking about. I ended up getting a deep tissue massage. The price was decent and I was also given a bunch of coupons at checkout, which I’ll definitely be using because they are actually pretty good coupons, like free waxing, free manicure with pedicure, 20% off, etc.
I still want to go somewhere that offers Reiki and knows what they are doing, though.
