Chicken curry was bad, not cooked well, I would never order from them again, ended up throwing the curry

Ordered food. What I received was someones left overs reheated in a thick layer of oil. I had to throw out the 1 dish since it was disgusting. Got samosas dripping with oil, and oil filled inside of the filling. The only thing made fresh was the bread. I give them 1 star instead of 0, because after waiting for an hour for my original order to be delivered, and getting garbage, they were«nice» enough to redeliver a fresh curry and samosa, 90 minutes. So if your counting 2.5 hours to get a order. Apparently it’s acceptable for them to give there customers left overs. Dont waste your time, unless you want to get sick and get left overs.

Very good. We were all first time Indian food eaters and we all enjoyed the food. Put aside your fear of new things and cone here. We will be back.

I ordered the shrimp biryani and the chicken korma. I recommend both — especially the chicken korma. What’s strange is that my server claimed I «wouldn’t like the korma because it’s sweet» but I’m glad I ordered it. Not too sure why he was trying to dissuade me. The naan was one of the best naans that I’ve had! The reason I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 4 stars is because I had an event here and the food was COMPLETELYDIFFERENT from the food ordered while sitting at a table for dinner. The food is disgusting for events here. However, the food upstairs at the restaurant is quite delicious.

Me and my wife ordered from Maurya again… and again, we’re super pleased. This really is a great Indian Restaurant… for some reason, though, a lot of people do not know about it. I guess it’s usually the hole in the wall in nowheresville that has the best tasting food. If you are anywhere near Forest Hills or Rego Park in Queens area at all… look up this place up and try their food. They’ve got great lamb, AMAZING vegetarian options(in fact most of their vegetarian food tastes better than their food with meat) And speaking of meat, the Tandori Chicken is very authentic

This is an AMAZING Indian restaurant; who knew it could be found in Forest Hills? I lived there for three years at the end of the 90s and went weekly. It was a «you couldn’t go wrong» menu, but what I couldn’t stop ordering was the paneer mumtaz(think shahi paneer) and the reshmi kebab appetizer(yogurt/jalapeño marinated chicken chunks grilled on the tandoor), plus a mango lassi to complement everything. I would walk home literally groaning about my stomach exploding; this is when I first learned of Pepto-Bismol, since I had no willpower to stop eating the amazing amazing fare. Of all the things I miss about Forest Hills, this is number 1. And 2. And probably 3. And… If you live in the area, for goodness sake, GO!
