We ordered kung pao chicken which my husband described as «chicken with a lot of raw vegetables.» I had the tofu szechuan style and it had peas in it… which shows you the authenticity of the dish. If you order from Grubhub, the prices are also higher than their regular menu.

Had a sudden craving for cheap chinese takeout. I never and I mean never order chinese takeout on the regular simply because we never really had a reason to. So why did we? Just wanted to eat some cheap lunch specials out of the blue. Kung Po Chicken — Saucy and gooey. Some of the veggies were hard and tough to bite into. Not the kung po chicken we expected. Sweet and Sour Chicken — The pork fried rice was surprisingly okay. I ordered the sweet and sour sauce on the side. I tried the same lunch special a few weeks back when my friend ordered it from a different takeout store in East Elmhurst and it was pretty darn good so I wanted to give it a shot in Forest Hills. What kinda threw me off was that they charged an extra 50 cents to have the sauce on the side. The container was small and the sauce was very watery and unsavory. It didn’t have the elements of being«sweet and sour». It tasted like a watered down sauce with plenty of food coloring. The bite size chicken pieces were barely filled with chicken. Every bite was just loaded with batter. Nothing really good about it. Crab Rangoon(8 pieces) — Skeptical at first but turns out to be better than I anticipated. It wasn’t over fried, didn’t taste old and the cream cheese filling was soft and creamy. Not a lot of crab meat but for what it’s worth, I enjoyed it more than the lunch specials. Verdict — Lunch specials were $ 6.15 each. I personally didn’t enjoy either of them. The amount of pork fried rice they gave wasn’t much compared to other chinese takeout I’ve seen. The crab rangoons were decent but I wouldn’t go crazy over it.

I’ve been retracing my steps while I lived in Forest Hills so this is a long overdue review. This was my go to place for Chinese food while I was living in FH. To be honest I never even tried any of the other places but I never really felt the need to do so. The food taste like Chinese takeout and I always felt that I got my moneys worth. I have both ordered for pick up and delivery, and compared to a lot of the other takeout places I was always happy with their timeliness and service. For delivery I always had my food within 20 minutes, even during«prime-time» as I like to call it. My roommates and I worked our way through the menu and we loved just ordering a bunch of different dishes, settling in in front of the TV and enjoy the food! The place is clean, they seam to be using fresh food, it taste good, and the price is alright. I’m not sure what more you need from your local Chinese take-out place. Recommend****

A great go-to place when you’re staying in but are too busy to cook. This is not a walk-in restaurant, so keep the menu on hand at home or at the office.(I tend to order on autopilot sans menu since I’ve been ordering from them for years. They don’t even send me a menu anymore and know exactly how many chopsticks to include in the delivery, haha.) I recommend the steamed veggie dumplings, the eggplant with black bean sauce(not on the menu, I think), and anything on their chicken list. Very dependable and friendly service.

Been ordering from here for years. food is always good except for maybe one occasion where the beef with garlic sauce tasted funky. It doesn’t look like the best place to go, but trust me it’s good cheap food when you don’t feel like cooking.

Pleasantly surprised! Not oily, easy on the sauces, super fast delivery, inexpensive, and my goto Chinese take-out. I’ve picked up top… and it’s just a take out place. The owner and his wife are so sweet!

This is currently my go to place in Forest Hills for Chinese Food. They use less oil then other Chinese restaurants and their food is cheap and good. I like how, as other reviewers mentioned, they use less oil and in general I find a little less sauce compared to other places. Overall it is healthier, but the food still tastes great. Something really cool as well is that they give me the option to go «low carb» or «primal /paleo» with their lunch specials and will substitute the white rice that comes with the meal, with more vegetables at no extra cost. I usually get their Kung Po chicken extra spicey and it’s great. The hot and sour soup is good and their Szechuan wontons are good. I recently got two items I haven’t tried there before — one was their shredded chicken in garlic sauce which I thought it was great(loved the vegetable medley in it). Second I got their spare ribs as an appetizer and this was quite good — not too sweet, but tender and tasty. Takeout is pretty quick, but I only live a couple of blocks away. Note that they very recently increased their prices slightly so if you got a menu from them more then a week or two before this review, take note. Will continue to order from here…

Super fast friendly service. Even when take out, they are nice. No MSG which means no headache, light on grease and sauce. Highly recommend order from here. My to go is boneless ribs combo w soup.

There is no other place that I would ever get my garlic broccoli from. King Wok reigns over all of forest Hills. They should be renamed to King broc… not really, but if they’re open to it, then yes(there’s too many woks anyway… what does wok mean?)

They’re alright. Not the best, but definitely not the worst I’ve ever had. I’m judging them by the Chinese takeout staple, which is fried fish and fried chicken wings.

Here’s the deal with this place… the owners are incredibly nice and honest and the kitchen is CLEAN. The noodles are good and that’s what I order and I’m happy.

Just received my delivery in under 20 minutes. They are lighter on the sauce than most Chinese take out places, thus a little healthier. I have literally ordered from them about 500 times throughout my lifetime and have never had an issue.

For all those nights I come home late from work and just can’t get the motivation to actually cook, this is my Chinese spot in Forest Hills. I have to say the sesame chicken could definitely be better, but for cheap food and extremely fast delivery times I really can’t complain too much. The dumplings are just as good as any other Chinese place I have had in the neighborhood. I would recommend the boneless spare ribs to start and the dumplings(the sauce that comes with dumplings is great), everything else on the menu is pretty decent.

I was in the mood for chinese food. I ordered chicken and broccoli for lunch. It sucked. Pork fried rice was ok. This was the second time getting food from here and it will be the last, I promise.

Food was average. I had boneless ribs, shrimp toast, wonton soup and a spring roll. Each item left me wanting, none really hit the spot. Even though they have inexpensive prices I was expecting something to match other Chinese places I’ve had in the past.

Stay away from this place at all costs. Ordered some dinner the other night and sure enough, stomach pains started erupting resulting in no work the next day. I remember my wife ordering from this place awhile back once with her sister and they did not enjoy their food but I figured why not give it another shot. If you need take-out Chinese, try Feng’s Garden. They won’t disappoint.

So, I ordered the sesame chicken again the other day because I was seriously craving it, and maybe they got a new chef or they were just having a good day because it was nice and crispy. Just an update on that :)

I stopped by King Wok around 10:30 last night after catching a movie with a few friends a few blocks away. King Wok is your staple NY Chinese spot. Small and nothing fancy, King Wok is open late and gives you good quality food for the price. $ 18 for 2 orders of dumplings and steamed chicken with broccoli and rice. A good place to stop for a late night snack. 3.5 stars because they have a good stock of Snapple to go with your meal!

Cheap Chinese food. Not much to quibble with, here, because you can’t go wrong with $ 7.00 mu shi pork. Said mu shi pork was delish. It’s my standby at Chinese restaurants, and King Wok did not disappoint. The egg roll was practically inedible, though, so lose 2 stars for that. Also, they don’t take credit cards for delivery. All in all, a respectable neighborhood take-out place.
