This is the cutest little café in Harford County. To be honest, this is a limited review as I’ve only been here two or three times since I live over ten miles away. It left an impression, I got a little art on my macchiato! Like, a real macchiato, and it was okay! Had a veggie sandwich there once and it was good. I love the simplicity and the atmosphere and the servers or baristas were really nice, or at the least they seemed pleased to be there and you wouldn’t believe what a difference that can make in a place.

Loved it! Much needed in Forest Hill. The hot chocolate was a little light on flavor(I don’t like overly sweet hot chocolate but this needed a bit more flavor). Coffee is great and the food is so good; I can never decide what I want. A little pricey but makes sense bc of the quality of ingredients. Service has always been great.

Really great coffee, one of the best coffee places in been to in the baltimore area. I would of gave it 5 stars if the food was better, it was too plain with nothing special or/and seasoning…

Don’t ever waste your time here… our cinnamon rolls(all 3) had long hair baked into them. Upon informing the clerk; she and the rest of the staff went in the back and hid. I literally stood up front for 10 min and no one returned. Horrible customer service and grossed out by the lack of proper sanitation standard.

Fox and Fern is one of the only non-chain coffee shop and café in the Bel Air/Forest Hill area. Its coffee is great and not the over roasted, mass produced stuff other shops turn out. The seasonal sandwiches, wraps and salads have never disappointed. They use a lot of organic ingredients and locally produced foods. The only way the place could get better was if it was a bit more cozy inside, maybe with sofas and a few more armchairs along with the existing tables and hard chairs. So thankful for this gem in HarCo!

I can’t comment on anything but their baked goods since that’s all I’ve tried… but those have been really good. The scones are excellent… great taste and texture. The cinnamon roll was very large but not that great. The German chocolate cupcake was large and yummy. I’ll keep dropping in for that occasional afternoon treat.

Not sure why this place has high ratings. My family and I tried this place for the first time and we were extremely disappointed. The people who work there have no personality and are not the friendliest. I got the burrito and it was very bland and did not come with salsa, sour cream, or even hot sauce nor was I asked if I would like any. My husband and son got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit which they felt had little taste as well. I work in the service industry and first impressions are everything. These people should not be in the service industry. Now I also realize that this is not your normal sit down establishment but come on people you could at least be courteous and make sure people enjoy the place. This place could be something really cool with the right people. Sadly we will not be back.

I love Fox and Fern. Great coffee, food and atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places to run in for a coffee or stay for lunch. I would highly recommend stopping in for a try. My favorite is the egg, bacon, cheese on a homemade biscuit or the California salad with chicken, delish!

I think this establishment is exactly what Forest Hill needed. An eclectic coffee house with fresh sandwiches. I cannot say enough good things about the food. Never had the coffee. Prices are a bit high and the attitudes of the staff could be corrected with a smile. Fix those two options and you have a nice little five star establishment.

We moved to the area recently and stopped by for breakfast and lunch the same day. Great little café with organic and local choices. The ham biscuit with chili jelly is spectacular! A must try in the area.

Had lunch with a friend for the first time in this cute little café. We got there right around lunch time and it was already busy but plenty of seats were still available. The menu is small but offers a lot of different selections. The serving sizes are large and filling. I ordered the BLT and it was delicious. My friend had the quesadilla and she said the same thing. Can’t wait to go back.

Their sandwiches are to die for! Found this gem through a Groupon. Be sure to sample their hot apple cider!

Great little coffee stop on my way to S. PA. My decaf mocha was lovely and the staff was equally lovely. Lots of smiles and happy customers unlike many places we frequent in the Washington, DC area. If I’m ever in the area, I will remember to stop in.

Neat little café type place. Had breakfast here twice, maybe a half dozen breakfast selections plus some pastries & scones. Had the F & F breakfast the first time; delicious scrambled eggs, sliced avocado and some tasty cherry tomatoes with bacon and a biscuit for 7 bucks and the huevos rancheros(burrito with egg tomato avocado & bacon) for 6 bucks this time. Order at the counter, paper plate, plastic utensils type place, decent coffee. Good fresh food tucked in a little strip center.

The Fox and Fern is a gem that is the restaurant wasteland that is Bel Air. I have tried their coffee, cinnamon buns, salads, and sandwiches. Everything I have tried has been good. The cinnamon buns are especially memorable. The coffee is ok– Counter Culture beans are passable but not my favorite. It is too bad they did not go with a local roaster like Zeke’s. Missed opportunity there. The sandwiches and salads are of excellent quality. You get what you pay for.

I ate here with my mother. We LOVED it. We both ate the chicken salad club sandwich which was AMAZING. The homemade lemonade was delicious. The atmosphere was very relaxing and«café» like. Kind-of shabby-chic. The cashier was nice. Good place for lunch dates. If you eat here, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Quaint litle gem buried in a strip mall. A very gourmet menu, but falls short on your expectations. Ham and cheese biscuit uses a wafer thin sliced ham with basic lunch meat flavor and a buttery bisquit, not a bad choice for a breakfast sandwich Chickeb cesar wrap is of expected size, but lacking the expected experience in your mouth. Chicken is so dry it borders on beef jerky while the store bought crutons do mothing to add moisture to the sandwich. Dressing is overly«anchovy», paying no respect to the traditional cesar salad
