Family Medical Center

I went to Dr. Patel with Family Medical Center to get care on Feb. 20^th 2015. The desk clerk said that my insurance was not bringing up Dr. Patel as my Dr. so I called the insurance and spoke with someone and they changed it and the desk clerk REFUSED with embarrassing comments about HMO in front of other patients, to take the insurance customer services rep’s information and denied me service.
I came again today (after having to go to the urgent care) and the same incredibly rude desk clerk again REFUSED to give me care. Then I asked to speak with Dr. Patel and I said I would wait and she would not go speak with him, instead talked with the other desk clerks about the situation in front of me. I was appalled! I then spoke in a very stern tone that I wish to speak with Dr. Patel about my concerns and she left and came back and said he did not want to see me.
I have NEVER been treated so poorly by anyone. I NEVER EVER want to go through this again and my husband and I plan on having a baby and will not want to use Dr. Patel as a provider.
I can’t believe I have to even rate this place one star. The desk clerk should feel ASHAMED to be representing the medical field and should immediately be removed (or terminated) from her position. Six family members go to Dr. Patel, but we are all going to cease service with him because of this experience. I hope people see this Unilocal and choose a different medical office.

I’ve seen Dr. Patel and Marie for years. I left CA 4 years ago and I’m back-​no way I would try to find another Dr. even though I live in San Clemente now. Dr. Patel is so patient and listens — he’s never in a rush. Marie is very professional but can be funny too.
They have an acupuncturist, Suzan who is more than amazing. My tendonitis is so much better after 3 visits. It’s still not 100% but it is getting there!

I love Marie and Dr. Patel! Always can get an appt, no long waiting time and great customer service, they treat there patients very well!
