Bad place to come to. The food lacks flavor. They serve so little and charge way too much(yes, they even charge extra for refills). Not worth it at all. Besides the small portion of food you get served, the place looks dirty(the floor looks black, trashes are always full). Oh yeah and they dont accept credit or debit cards so be prepared to pay even more to use their in house ATM machine. Worse place in fontana.

Food is good, but they charge you EXTRAFOREVERYTHING… had the $ 4.54 bowl and it was $ 5.25 after taxes, that’s 15% sales tax… skimpy on their portions also, I ordered the bowl and could only have the rice or noodles, can’t combine them. This is the only Chinese food place that I have seen weight their food !!! They ONLY accept cash and eagerly let you know they have an ATM there, after they charge their service charge and your bank theirs, it’s like paying for 2 meals and only getting one.

This is the worse place i have been too. Let me start by saying that the service is mediocre. As I come in im in line for about 5min. No biggie then a i ordered broccoli and beef. Ummm yea its more like broccoli it was the last of the tray and i asked if she can please give me some beef and looked at me and totally ignored me. I was tripping for a minute just hoping she would ask for more but no This lady did not care. Ok whatever. Then i hand over my card to the cashier and she said«only cash, atm machine charge $ 2.» Wait what! Where is your sign oh she stated right next to the register but no sign by the door. I ended up paying $ 16. Just for a combo and some fried rice. Heck no! Oh and btw the chicken was not cook all the way so eww i did not eat it. Bad place, bad service, nasty uncooked food! Dont waste your money or time here. I hope it helps others!

My fav Chinese spot. I’m extremely picky with Chinese joints and I tend to steer clear from places closer to me and choose to make the drive out to Fontana just for China Cook. It is my go-to place on rainy days for some reason. I love their bbq chicken and really appreciate the clean restaurant/food area. The ladies there have always been nice to us, the only thing I find kind of funny is how they charge for their fortune cookies. Cmon now?! I’ve never seen any Chinese place do that before. Also it is still cash only(God knows why, they’ve been in business for years you’d think they’d accept visa by now) however those two minor complaints(if you can even call them that) have never kept me from stopping by.

If you look on my profile, I have been to California and New York and everywhere in between. ANDTHISPLACE by far is THEBEST Chinese food ever, believe me, I’ve had a lot of Chinese food from pretty much all over the U.S. And I always… ALWAYS come here when I visit California.

On the way to my girlfriend’s sister’s place in Fontana, my phone overheated — and as I needed it to cool down before resuming my trip(it had the directions to the place on it), not to mention needing to refuel myself, I made a stop at China Cook. This is a small hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant along the lines of Panda Express, with a number of booths for customers and a TV which was set to a sports channel. I ordered their Combo B(2-item combo with half fried rice, half chow mein)… while most of the dishes looked appetizing enough, I went with the kung pao chicken and their teriyaki chicken(which had just come out of the kitchen). I was a bit surprised when they asked me if I wanted peanuts with the kung pao; apparently at China Cook they have them separate from the main dish. While they certainly pile on the food here, everything was just… bland. Sure, it was fresh(well, at least the teriyaki chicken was — not sure how long the kung pao was out, but at least I didn’t get food poisoning), but a bit more flavor would’ve been nice. Maybe I should’ve added some Sriracha; at least China Cook carries that. And yes, this place is cash-only… at least the ladies at the counter are nice enough.(They were surprised I had come all the way from San Diego and was having lunch here.) Maybe I’ll keep this place in mind if I have to head to Fontana again.

Love coming here. This is the only place i would eat Chinese food and not worry about getting sick or anything. Food is always fresh. My family love to come here when they are in town. Hands down my favorite Chinese food place. I read the other reviews and that has never happen to me. I love this place.

Never come in the morning because they try and sell yesterday’s food as fresh. Their egg rolls are from frozen sources. Their drinks are not self serve, meaning no free refills, and they don’t accept anything but cash.

Food is classic Chinese fast food. I want to like it, but it always seems to cause an upset stomach. Unless I stuck with just plain BBQ chicken. They DONOT accept credit or debit as of 5⁄14. Prices and portions are good, but I’ll need the food servers to stop swatting at fly’s while they dish up my food. Thank you very much.

This place sucks no meat in their kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli or veggies. only veggies. they pack your bowl or tray with rice or noodles to give you less sides.
