Dr Applebaum is a great resource for Folsom patients! I’ve known him for 20 years and he has always had a deep interest in the mental well-​being of his patients– both adults and kids. I’ve personally seen his results with teens and I think that is where is true passion is.
As my physician, he has helped me through many of life’s ups and downs. As a healthcare specialist, I see him as one of the most effective physicians in help his patient with basic mental well-​being to the most serious mental illnesses. He reputation as a national expert stems from his desire to help his patients.

Put simply, he is the best psychiatrist in Northern California. In my own words, Dr. Applebaum’s care is based on a custom approach of the best modern medicine has to offer combined with the wisdom and brilliance of over forty years of practicing medicine across patients of all cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Dr. Applebaum’s availability is always consistent, and he lets patients know far in advance if he may be absent as a result of pursuing advanced continuing medical/​psychiatric educational opportunities.
I have been treated by Dr. Applebaum since I was a sophomore in Folsom, CA (over half of my life now). His good-​natured presence and gentle bedside manner quickly disarmed my teenage angst of seeing a doctor, and he quickly became a trusted confidant who looked out for my wellbeing more than anyone else. As I encountered, like so many, trials and tribulations that introduced themselves throughout my teenage and adult life, Dr. Applebaum never thought less of me as he taught me how to cope with my struggles. After each visit, I left his office a stronger person, a more hopeful person, a healthier person.
I have Dr. Applebaum to thank for helping me lead a healthy and productive life, with some of the improvements so drastic and obvious, trusted colleagues have confided in me and privately sought Dr. Applebaum’s contact information. Years later, I am still thanked by them for introducing Dr. Applebaum into their lives. Additionally, I am able to live with the comfort of knowing those I love most in my life (my spouse, sisters, and son) are also cared for by Dr. Applebaum.
What more could I wish for the world than to be able to have physicians like Dr. Applebaum provide for everyone’s care?
