Bummed out about this store. Super cute items but watch out with their return policy. Store credit only. I’m glad I asked before I purchased anything. Tried to buy a gift for my 2 yrs old niece who lives in San Diego and she is very petite. She would not be able to use an in store only credit if the outfit didn’t fit or had anything that would fit her. Silly return policy if the item is unworn with tags. Plus I had a hard time getting into the store with their hrs. I called and asked a question about their products and told the lady I was on my way to their store. She did not tell me they closed early that day and I got there 15 mins after It closed. Boo:(

We have now been to Benicia Dancewear for two pointe shoe fittings, and we have had a wonderful experience each time. The pointe shoe fitter at this store is great at her job — she listens to the dancer’s concerns, and has a good eye for assessing which shoes will work for a particular dancer, and which ones won’t. She was very patient with my daughter, who has a difficult-​to-​fit foot. I think my daughter must have tried on 20 pairs of shoes today, and ultimately found a pair that she LOVES.
The store even has a darling little couch for their tiniest customers — my younger daughter sat down there and read a book while she waited for her big sister to be done. It’s a well-​organized, very well stocked store for dancers of all ages. Finally, a dance store in the Sacramento area that is set up to serve the serious pre-​pro ballet dancer! We are thrilled!

Went here today for the first time with my tween daughter. After a very unpleasant pointe shoe fitting and purchase experience at a dance wear store in Sacramento, we were anxious and hopeful about our visit to this new store. While the store is small, it is beautifully organized and very well stocked with leotards, tights, shoes, and everything else for ballet dancers of all ages. However, what we most appreciated was the outstanding service by Camille, who patiently listened to my daughter and pulled out multiple brands and sizes, until she found the perfect pointe shoes for her feet. Camille was clearly very knowledgeable, yet without a trace of arrogance. She carefully looked at my daughter’s feet in each pair of shoes, made excellent suggestions, and she asked questions and LISTENED to the answers. There was no lecturing or harsh sales pitch, merely a genuine desire to serve the needs of a dancer. Camille is a gem, and this shop is a wonderful and much needed resource for the entire Sacramento area. We will happily make the 25 minute drive here from Granite Bay.
