My bestie and I are pizza FANATICS. We love cheese. We love carbs.
Xtra Cheese Pizzeria is called extra cheese pizzeria for a reason. WARNING: think twice before ordering extra cheese as a topping from this spot. When our extra cheese pizza got delivered, the pizza literally looked like a cheese tornado. (which was fantastic on our end). Their garlic knots are amazeballs as well!!!
Anyways, LOVE this spot!

Well I’ve eaten at many of a pizza shop I must say that this place has really good food. Entrée portions are made to ensure you have something for lunch the next day. Everything tastes fresh and made to order. In the midst of neighboring eateries I couldn’t read or understand their signs it was nice to find a place eat I could recognize.

Really love the food. But not cool when youre making pizza dough, take my order, handle bills and coins, take another order, handle bills and coins, prepares the orders all bare handed after handling $, then goes back to working the dough. This has happened every single time i go there to every customer (10+ visits) throughout the past 4 – 5 years, hoping that they’ve changed, always disappointed they did not. Surprised nobody else notices this nasty behavior.

My friend said this place is one of the best pizza joints. So I went to check it out. Ehhhh. Average pizza at best. The regular slices, I think were a little too thick. The sauce was good. But doesn’t compare to the other local pizza joints in the area. Out of respect, I won’t mention the other pizza spots on this review.

Delicious! Ordered it 40 min before they closed and they delivered a delicious pizza on a Wednesday night!

Late Night Pizza Craving… and Boy was it Good! How come I forgot about this Gem and I lived in Flushing All my life… The Pizza was VERY Good, The Cheese was not Oily the sauce was a Good Ratio.

Seriously, THE BEST PIZZARIA. Food is always fresh and delicious, not too greasy. Highly recommend, more like 10 stars!!!

Family friends of mine have been going to this pizza shop run by two affable brothers for decades, and I’ve been introduced to Xtra [X-​tra] Cheese just in the last few years but I’m digging it as much as they do.
Shockingly, I’ve actually never had their pizza, but Xtra Cheese makes a mean chicken parm which is what we typically get. It’s a decent size, with lots of sauce and chicken, and the bread has a pleasant crispiness to the crust. I’ve had the meatball which was good too but the chicken parm is my fave of the two.
I definitely plan on sampling some of the other offerings next time I’m in Flushing!

You know in psychology where you learned about figure-​ground perception. The figure-​Xtra Cheese Pizzeria. The ground– dominos pizza and pizza hut a block away. The end result– that pizza from Xtra is looking real good. A pizza pie from Xtra would be decent in comparison to shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. But when you put this pizza in Flushing NY and next to commercial chains, you get that WOW factor. The pizza is 3.5 IMO. The pizza could use more tomato sauce.
The prices on Unilocal,their website and brochures are all different. The one that they have on the board is the most accurate. Check the pictures for price.

I was able to get a good slice for a few bucks, but nothing spectacular. If I was here I’d grab a slice, but I would not make it a special trip to get one from here.

Been going here since I was in middle school. I have always had a good experience! I had an Ah-​ha moment the very first time I asked for a topping on my regular pizza. Realizing that they put Xtra cheese on your pizza for every topping you order. (Hence the name Xtra cheese pizzeria) The brothers, Phil and Joe are the most down to earth people you can meet.

Xtra Cheese in a pizzeria that it simple and delicious. Delivery is always fast, and pizza is usually awesome. Always order from here and not that other fast food pizza crap.

They have some tasty pizza here seriously, they dont play. Better than no pizzahut, papa johns, dominos. Also their pizza is really big like when i opened the box it was like overflowing with pizza lol.
Their crust is so good! Its like slightly crispy on the outside and its chewy in the inside MMMM! This is my favorite place for pizza

Mhhhhh get the lasagna. So much cheesy goodness. Baked just right. The parms are also really good.
Pizza is thin and has just the right amount of sauce but def get the cooked stuff.

Simply good plain cheese, one slice is not enough for me, must get two:)

I grew up eating pizza from here since the 70’s. They survived all from all the chain pizza stores because their pizza is simply the best. You cannot get this taste from chain pizza places.
Just their plain slice is great. That’s how you know it is good pizza. But I recommend the house special. It is a meal in itself. Very filling and delicious.

This is stop number five on arriving back to New York City from being away for about a week. I was craving pizza. In the area and winging it with what’s near by. I briefly read the reviews of my fellow Unilocalers. Saw the decent reviews. The pie looked decent, not stale. But before that: name looked cheesy-​no matter, seating is basic local joint seating. I order based on the pie behind the counter looked gooey. It is!
This place serves a good plain slice for $ 2.30 — gooey, stringy cheese. Crust like a very good local pizza place. The ones I new back when I was a kid where I had an old Italian guy making the pizza. It’s really good and the size is not Xtra big or anything but not small, it was large enough for my approval. Sauce is tasty and amount balances out right with the gooey stringy cheese. The pizza is hot, very much so, be warned it’s a hot tasty slice.

The service is always fast and friendly and they have some awesome pizza and one of the best bake ziti ever.
The delivery is fast and ur food arrive hot and fresh. Definitely a great place to come.

I came to United States from Korea in 1990 and I used to live in 149Pl for about 10 years before moving further south of Flushing then to Fresh Meadows, but still this is my favorite pizza store, still go there at least once a month.
You must try their Xtra Cheese House Special (large pie with everything on it! no anchovies though, not that they carry it, but they had it on their menu).
I’m not picky with toppings and neither is my family so the first time we tried their special, we immediately fell in love with it. I’m guessing not a lot of people order their house special because sometimes when I call beforehand to pick it up, they sound surprised. I introduced this place to my church members and told them about the special and they went bonkers.
Even to this day, my fiancé who I dated for 8 years still tells me, «I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about this place earlier.»
From the outside, this place just might seem like another local pizzeria, but it’s not. The lengthy tall dude and the stockier dude that makes these pizzas have been making pizzas here even before I came to the U. S!
My favorite are their (of course) Xtra Cheese House Special Large Pie with Everything on it and Meatball Parm on a hero. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Simply the best pizza ever!

This is truly a neighborhood spot that has been around and for good reason. The owner and workers are personable and friendly. They have some great pizza without the bells and whistles that so many of us have grown to associate pizza with. It’s your regular slice from a regular cheese pie that is to be appreciated for what it is. Simplicity. Ya just need it sometimes, ya know?
