Love it! Great street food find. I ordered the lamb for $ 1.50 which is a great snack price. They ask if you want spice and the spice is not that spicy which is good for me lol but give it that kick

This guy has awesome BBQ! He is usually parked in one of the best and most central parts of downtown Flushing on the corner of Main St and Kissena Blvd right off 41st ave. For a very long time we was under scaffolding as the worked on above buildings, but finally that has been removed. Anyway, the skewers are amazing. Try the lamb. There is usually tons of smoke billowing from the cart across Main St.

I don’t come to Flushing that often but when I do come I make sure to always come and get a Lamb skewer. The cumin here really comes thru here and differentiates this place from others. The price is up to $ 1.50 per stick which is starting to get expensive but its oh so good. I tried to speak english to the guy but he didn’t understand so good luck if you don’t.

Food is okay, surely takes a long time. there are many other stalls similar to this one, scatter around NYC in Chinese zones. Especially their Chicken hearts are cut open… this made the original tastes disappear… no more juiciness

MYLOVE. I would consider relocation just to be closer to this if it were not for fear of possible addiction. Although prices have gone up over the years, now at mostly $ 1.50 a pop this place is a total bargain and its taste a total luxury. The meat are melt-in-your-mouth delicious with the perfect char that will leave wanting for more. The flavors are out of this world too — perhaps even better than what I’ve tasted in northern China. Service is awesome as well. I’ve tried a couple other places scattered in the city but they all pale in comparison. Some of my favorites: — lamb skewer(seriously a must unless you don’t eat lamb) — chicken gizzard — lamb kidney — beef tendon This BBQ cart can take all my money. The only downside is this is cash only and I never carry enough cash to buy out the cart.

Skewers! The smell was so pleasant, as I approached the cart. Seems like the dollar skewer is no more, as all three of my skewers cost $ 1.50 each. Nevertheless, the skewers were very tasty. I tried two chicken and one beef. I was fan of both, but the beef tasted better. I probably should have ordered two beef and one chicken. *Mental note for next time* The line seems a bit disorganized and it seemed like people behind me were being served before me, but idk they may have ordered first. It took a bit of time for my three skewers. Almost 10 – 15 mins or so. One thing that would have been nice, would be a bottle of hot sauce, that I can flavor the skewers with. The hot flakes made the skewers spicy, but I think I prefer the liquid hot sauce to the flakes.

This place is one of the reasons why I wish I could move to Flushing :/There’s such a large variety of Asian cuisines all blended together that no other NYC neighborhood could offer. This bbq skewer truck is just one example of the vast diversity of foods that are available in Flushing. I got the lamb skewer for $ 1.50 and I found it to be absolutely juicy and tender. The spices that they added on it were a party in my mouth. The spices sort of reminded me of the halal food flavor but the lamb meat was way better than those found in halal food. Extra points for the hardworking lady cooking the food who was also really nice and probably has photographic memory. If you are in Flushing you have to try this place out at least once!

Best street meat on skewers. Spicy and tasty! It’s worth the money. Had the beef and chicken gizzards with spice! It hit the spot!

Love it here. Fast, friendly, absolutely to-die-for meats on sticks. I have recently fallen in love with their beef — IDK what they do to it, if it’s the cut of meat or what, but it was a revelation in fatty unctuousness and superb flavor. I could eat a pound of the squid without blinking, too, so branch out. They will also bag up your skewers to go, wrapped in tinfoil — I do this often, and they heat up very well in the toaster oven. For newbies, here’s how it works: 1) Catch dude’s attention, if there’s no line(if there’s a line, or people waiting, simply ask if they’ve ordered yet — the«line» forms on either side) 2) Order your stuff 3) Wait while they cook it, and pay attention 4) Dude will ask if you want it spicy(this is not-kidding-around spice, so you can tell him just a little, and this is my preference) 5) Pay the man(and tip him!), and chow the eff down.

These pieces of fat+meat are melt-in-your-mouth morsels of paradise. There are actually a couple of carts off main st that move every now and then. I ended up preferring the one off to the side of the TD Ameritrade. That cart typically uses pre-cooked meat, and reheat/spice up with each order. Ironically, this works out to be better and healthier, as the other cart I tried which cooked the raw meat while you waited sometimes came out undercooked, which for chicken is unacceptable and unpleasant. The skewers are cheap. When I frequented them last winter, they were selling for $ 1.25 for chicken, lamb and beef. I’ve seen people order 10, even 20 at a time, walking away with fistfuls of deliciousness. Other items, such as squid or chicken gizzards are a little extra. In terms of taste, I’d say lamb is your best bet with the highest fat/meat ratio, causing the skewers to glisten in the winter sunlight and explode with flavor. The chicken skewers have large chunks of meat, and are a close second. Pass on the beef unless you don’t enjoy the gamey flavor of lamb. Be sure to order«spicy,» and they’ll add a generous dusting onto your skewers. On a cold winter day in NY, chomping down on these skewers is super satisfying. When ordering, be prepared to use any and all methods necessary to order. The people working the carts aren’t English proficient, but generally finger counting and pointing works pretty well, as well as the universal language, money.

Ordered the Chicken on a Stick($ 1.50). Not much meat but you get what you pay for. The chicken was moist, not dry. If you want the full experience then you have to order it and have them season it. Be aware that it will be spicy. It’s a mix between sweet bbq with cayenne pepper. Next time I’ll order more sticks because one just won’t do.

Dirt cheap, unassuming cart in the middle of bustling main st. in flushing queens. Like just about every other spot around here, the food here is very authentic and reminiscent of what you’d buy off a street cart in beijing. On my last visit, I got the lamb and the squid. These were deliciously tasty, doused in an assortment of spices with cumin being the predominant flavor. This place is cash only and the vendor is incredibly nice. Well worth the visit!

I’ve tried the lamb skewers from street stalls in China, but I dare say that this place makes them much better. Something about that salty fattiness of the lamb melts in your mouth. The selection of the meat tastes so premium. This is not just a lamb skewer my friends, it’s a stick of pure joy. Definitely worth a try. My only wish is that they would make these in XL size. Like kabobs. Wouldn’t that be so good?

This cart is dangerously delicious. They open around lunch time until midnight so it’s always there to tempt me. I always get the lamb because it’s more tender, although the chunks are small than chicken’s. Start with«mild spicy» unless you’re very confident in your spice tolerance! Very upset that they’re increasing the price to $ 1.50 per skewer now.

The reviews were so good and the pictures looked even better, so this was our first stop on a recent trip to Flushing. I think the hype was a bit much. First, the price is now $ 1.50. Second, chicken and lamb sticks were good, but not earth-shattering. Third, I guess that is it. We left feeling a little disappointed. Like I said, the meat sticks were good, but not, «let’s go to Flushing for meat sticks good.»

We had the chicken and lamb skewers. They were seasoned very nicely, and the chicken was very tender, but the lamb was a bit fatty(even for lamb). I like that they were made to order, however.

Sorry Queens but we do it better in Brooklyn. ‘nough said. kudos on the creativity with quail though but you lost some points with your sausage. its just a hot dog from any supermarket. I could’ve grilled it myself. props on the pricing though, everywhere else in Flushing charges atleast 1.99 for a skewer, while you charge 1.25.

An assortment of skewers, all of them salty, fatty, gooey, spicy, and piping hot. It’s the perfect snack on a cold day. My family and I shared the lamb, chicken, and beef skewers. I’m not a fan of lamb, but this one didn’t even have the gamey taste. The quality of the meat isn’t great at all, but it’s all about the seasoning. cumin and a whole bunch of other goodness. I have to say that this is Flushing’s version of the Halal guys. except without the crazy long wait and a fraction of the price! But it’s a street cart must!
