I really love their mango mochi. The size is big, and the mochi is very soft. The inside filling has mango squares and is gooey. It really taste very good, and i think its only $ 1.50. The green tea and peanut flavors do not sell as well as the mango mochi. I also eat their breaksfast combos: sandwich and milk tea for 3.75. That is cheap and good because its always made fresh. I keep coming back here because of the mango mochi and breakfast combos.

The quest for the best mochi continues. Tried the green tea mochi which turned out to be a somewhat pasty, thin layer of tea flavored rice flour surrounding a large ball of red bean paste. Taste was fine but ranks well behind the cloudlike coconut dipped Dragon Land bakery mochi and Kulu’s nicely chewy sesame filled balls in ginger soup.

Why I think this place deserves more stars: 1) They speak Cantonese(and Mandarin). Finally I can speak my native language freely to order a spam and egg sandwich with milk tea! 2) They make your sandwiches right there, fresh, and it’s hot and steamy. 3) A spam + egg sandwich + medium milk tea only costs $ 3.75.

Rice ball is my favourite. When I was coming, the mango almost sell out. So mango is very popular than red bean with green tea. But it’s really yummy. Hahaaaa it’s not too sweet the mango is really good, have some cube sweet mangoes inside

I love Chinese bakeries and this one hits it right on the mark. This inexpensive quality bakery has a wide selection of coffees, sandwiches, Chinese snacks, and bakery items. Best sponge cake in town! I also like their breads. I don’t drink coffee, but people rave about it. The food selection is broad and looks delicious. There is a nice aroma inside the restaurant that reminds you of community. COMETOTHISPLACE!!!

High volume, bustling HK bakery. Very popular. Real deal Hong Kong Milk Tea, a small is $ 1.35 and a smart choice to start the day.

I usually pick up the large vanilla roll for $ 7.00. It is usually very fresh. Today I got the large green tea roll for $ 7.00.

I remember when this bakery first opened. The name was really appealing, like it’d have a cute, aromatic atmosphere. But it ended up looking and being like any other Chinese bakery in Flushing. It’s not a bad thing. It’s just expected. They do have unique items that other bakeries rarely carry, like vegetarian triangle sandwiches and various organic-looking breads. I really only come for the breakfast special of egg&ham sandwich and coffee/tea. After hearing another customer request egg white only, I’ve been getting egg white and ham sandwiches for the past 2 years from here. I realized they are delicious not just because the bread is warm and fluffy, but they also use mayonnaise which tastes like soft butter when it’s warm.

I was looking for a more old school bakery than one of those snazzy bakeries will all the foo foo colors and cute stuff. I also didn’t want any crap that was already prepackaged in BPA wrap. Since it was cold and windy outside, I didn’t want to wander the entire growing Chinatown, so I just came here after checking out another joint. The prices weren’t dirt cheap, but the baked goods were good. Baked good cheaper than Great Wall in Merrifield. Dan tats were tasty and the naw mai chees were big, soft, and tasty. Coffee here was good also. Chinese bakeries are so much better than Korean bakeries. Not even close.

Typical Chinese cakes and pastries. Try the Hong Kong style breakfast in the morning, ham with Egg or spam sandwiches served with a nice large cup of Joe, at $ 3.50 not a bad deal and yummy to boot. To find Parking is a challenge since the only spots are across the street. Unfortunately, in the last few years parking has become such a chore. Space that used to be available on Roosevelt ave between Prince and Main street have been lost to The NYC buses and TLC.

I always come here hoping to get some kind of pastry but tend to leave empty handed. The dan tat at this café is much more dense than other places, but it still tastes good. Other buns they have are tasty but not the best I’ve ever had.

We were starving so we end up to this place. It’s a Chinese café but they serve American breakfast. I really liked it actually. The toasted bread and french fries is really good. We had a language barrier but they laughed with us and they seem very friendly.

Flushing being a town full of bakeries this one was worth the visit. They have a huge selection of pastries at a very reasonable price. We were able to get 5 different pastries for around $ 5. I didn’t get a bubble tea but from looking at others bubble tea it seems they load it with tapioca which is a big plus to me.

Above average Chinese bakery near Main Street, Flushing. It has a few tables and chairs and is an alright place to get breakfast to stay or to go. They have a pretty large cake, buns and pastry selection(larger than some of the others in the neighborhood), serve hot and cold drinks, and also cold and hot sandwiches. Food tastes fresh to me.

This is my go to breakfast place for when I was working in Flushing. Their selection of buns are vast and the service is quick and fast, perfect for on the run in the morning. They are usually busy so the turnaround time for the bun is high, that’s why the buns are always fresh here.

My aunt bought me a banana with black seseme sponge cake and it was YUM-O! I ate it for breakfast and was totally stuffed. It was just right, not too dry and not too moist! After reading Queenie W’s post, I’m craving for their Egg Omelet w/Cucumber Sandwich!

I like this bakery more than any other bakery in flushing. As an egg-mania, I really appreciate their efforts and creativity in developing new buns made of eggs.(You could refer to my photos.) And I never have anything unsatisfactory in this café! Recommend: Red Bean Soup(new item, really~really~good~) Egg Omelet Sandwich w. Cucumber

Ny in flushing area, wow this area is like the 626SGV of California haha cute bakery actually opened late with only limited drinks. Decent bakery? Not much selection of good drinks but looks like higher quality in drinks than other places. Theres small seating areas if you want to chill. I think I’m just spoiled by Alhambra’s Chinese bakeries and food =/I expected more from a bakery place in Flushing, guess not. Still decent price I guess, but the freshness isn’t there

Located right around the corner from Whitebear, which makes this a great place to stop and grab a bubble tea on the way to get some of those White Bear dumplings. We ordered two pretty standard black milk teas with boba and took a seat to relax for a while in the AC before the next hike. The place was completely filled with locals and a few people asking for spare change. The bathroom was locked and you have to ask for the key. They had sesame and taro sliced cakes, which are good in my book. The tea was not the best, but close to where we were currently. We would definitely stop back by for breakfast.

You are summoned for Dim Sum in Flushing on Sunday morning at 11:30am sharp right? WRONG! «Nobody lays a finger on my breakfastfinger» — Bart Simpson. Nope. Breakfast is sacred people; the most important meal of the day as far as I’m concerned. If I’m going to eat copious ammount of greasy delights, that’s fine, I can deal with that, but there is no way that I can eat breakfast without COFFEE. Foreseeing this, I purposedly arrived in Flushing an hour earlier than I should have(actually that’s a lie, I forgot that it was the first day of DST) and set about for Sago Tea Café when… I saw Vanilla Café. It was not a dinger, and that was enough for me to enter, and once inside I was satisfied to see that they had breakfast options and combos($ 3.25 for Egg + Ham and Cofffee) at absurd prices and reasonable proportions. Since I was bound for Dim Sum, I just ordered coffee and Bubble Tea of which they had many options, though I was disappointed not to find Passion Fruit or Taro amongst them. Regardless, I slurped away my pearls over Raspberry, and was also delighted when I sighted Vita Mango Juice on the freezer, which brands I had enjoyed in HK back in ’02, Xie Xie. They also have your standard variety of breads, filled buns(with pork, sausage, etc), and milk teas. So yeah, I sat there and drank my coffee in peace and felt that great, great feeling of being an early bird, something so completely alien to me at this point as I’m always late. For the first time in I don’t know how many moons I did what others have done for me in fascist consecution: I waited. So whenever it is that you happen to be flushed to this ends of New York, come to Vanilla Café, have breakfast, bubble tea, and COFFEE; it’s a way of life.
