I went to eat kimchi fried rice and when I got it, it was burnt to a point where I thought it was seaweed pieces… it was definately refried or something cause it wasn’t edible… even the waitress was shocked to see it after the piece of egg… and then she had the audacity to ask us change it instead of canceling it on top of that she was extremely rude… i’m sure not going back ever…

Not Sukarak anymore, hasn’t been for the past 4 – 6 months or so, I only went once after it came under new management… I won’t be returning, the menu changed and I was a little put off by the religious environment plus I don’t remember the tv being there anymore(yeah yeah it matters to me lol). Oh well… on to the next :-)

I really like this place for convenient Korean food. The food is not bad. However, I came in to get drinks & as I was waiting, I happened to stare at a lady cook lift the spoon utensil into her mouth to taste. Then she puts the spoon in another pot to stir. This is definitely my last time coming here. That was so disgusting.

Korean SMALLEATS, we have found thee! OH YUMsanity! This place is what my boyfriend and I call an «accidental encounter» lol. Actually, we initially intended to dine-in at IHop, which is right across the street, but then the waiting time was so long that we said, «forget it IHOP». Well, maybe next time we shouldn’t wait to go on a Sunday because that is when most families go too. Anyway, focus focus focus on Sukarak.. sooo we walked around and noticed Sukarak’s menu with various interesting food items listed… and BOOM, that was when the magic happened!!! :SPARKLESPARKLE: OK, I gotta admit, the starting appetizer, Squid Tempura, was just meehh for us because they fried it with toO much dough… BUT then the Sizzling Spicy Squid Platter was aammaazzing! Indescribable!!! It had the right amount of spice, not too spicy and not too mild. I am not much of a fan of spicy food so this was sure a winner for me. Not to mention it totally stole my boyfriend’s heart since his favorite Korean dish is actually the spicy squid. FIVESTARSGRANTED! The platter comes with udon noodles, rice soup & kimchi. Extremely fulfilling and shareable amongst two people! The next outstanding dish was the Omelet Rice! It looks and sounds plain but the taste was definitely not. It was the best fried rice with ham and vegetables covered with an omelet that I have ever eaten, I kid you not! The rice was very moist and not dry like how some Chinese places serve it.(No offense, by the way). The rice was cooked and mixed so well with the ingredients. I swear the Chinese simply canNOT compete if they were to cook with the same ingredients.(No offence, again) DING, DING, DING. we got another WINNER in the house! A must try on your first Sukarak experience with KOREANSMALLEATS! Aiyaaa, there are like so many other food items that I am looking forward to try next time, such as the Spicy Tuna Kimbap, Ddukboki, Hot Stone Bibimbap, and Spicy Wings. I just can’t wait any longer. Gotta hold onto my cravings until we meet again! I don’t care if my face will break out. The food here is too good to resist and it is JUST the beginning. =P

I really like Sukarak for its variety and low prices. There’s free parking, too, so that’s always a plus. Sukarak is located in that little shopping center with the McDonald’s, H-Mart, and Paris Baguette. I know you can get a lot of really good Korean food on Northern Blvd, but I come here because it’s the only place I know of that serves an individually sized portion of army stew(okay, that’s not true, they have it at the Korean place in the huge New World Mall food court, but it’s not even close in terms of taste), aka budae jigae, which is a spicy blend of spam, pork, sausage, kimchi, vegetables, tofu, rice cakes, ramen, and cheese. East meets West — just like me! It comes with a bowl of rice, too, so I’m perfectly satisfied for a mere $ 9. I love watching the Korean cooking shows or dramas that are playing while I eat my meal, too. In terms of prices and value, this place is very similar to Kimganae on Union Street in Flushing. Sukarak might not be the best Korean food you’ve ever had(they describe themselves as Korean casual cuisine), but the army stew is just the thing to warm you up on a cold winter day.

I love their food. In fact, I love the variety of food they offer. :) I had spicy rice cake(dduk-bok-ki), fried squid, and beef fried rice. and I loved them all. :) The waitress was so nice and attentive. I will come back when I miss Korean food again. :)

Came here for bubble tea and slush to go and will never return again the girl at the counter took my order for the bubble tea. I waited for 10 and I did not see any sign of bubble tea being made, so I asked her, «how much longer?» she said«5 to 10 mins» She kept on packing the to go orders while I stood there and waited another 10 mins passed, I finally saw her starting to make my bubble tea and blend the ice I was already pissed by that time, and she even gave me the wrong flavor of the slush. And I need to mention, how TERRIBLE the bubble tea tasted. The tapiocas were all hard, and it tasted like she poured a jar of sugar into the milk tea they need to train that girl on customer service, when the customer wait for their to go bubble tea in front of u, u take care of that first than pack the to go orders! Never again!

Foods great, prices are decent. The Korean sushi is pretty good. I’ve been here a number of times and it never disappointed me so far. Waiters and staff are friendly and nice.

What can $ 4 get you on a hot humid day while wandering around Northern Boulevard? Why, shaved ice of course! They have a cute little shaved ice machine which started to spit out flurry of snow, and then the lady started putting — fruit syrup — chocolate syrup — milk — mochi — fruity pebbles — corn flakes — pineapple — red bean — strawberries — whipped cream — and a cherry on top(that eventually rolled to the side) Good stuff. Definitely good stuff.

This restaurant has evolved from counter service to a waitstaff. The food is very good The spicy chicken, pork and squid are all excellent. The BBQ Chicken served with Jab-chae and rice is yummy. The help is also very friendly and polite. This place that makes me smile when I think about it. What more could you want?

Nice place where you can get casual Korean Food without paying a lot. The food is great and fast. Not a fancy place but nice and clean. They have Bulgogi & Kalbi dishes for Meat Lovers and for the Vegetarians they offer different kinds of Kimbap(seaweed rolls) & Bibimbap. Price range is $ 7 to $ 9 a dish, including taxes. They also sell steamed Homemade Korean Dumplings. Well worh a try.
