As with other Queens libraries, the self — service terminals often require assistance to properly check out items. Error messages prevent you from making a quick transaction. Staff is helpful but a little rude. Better customer service would be appreciated.

As a St. John’s student, it was very inconvenient for me to travel to the Flushing library every time I wanted to check out a book. When I came across this library, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it’s small and in the middle of a residential area, but it has the necessary sections in a library. Its reference section is definitely lacking, but it has a decent selection of magazines, adult fiction, children books, and teen fiction. Its hours are pretty good(I think they close around 7PM everyday?), but like every other library it’s closed on Sundays. The air in the library isn’t the best, nor is there a lot of space for desks/tables to study or read, so I wouldn’t rely on this place for a conducive study area, but it definitely works for me as a close by community library. I’m really hoping that this branch stays alive, I need it for my occasional fix of mindless reading!

The staff is very friendly and they are always willing to help; however, because it is not a major branch it is a very small library. They do not have a huge variety of books, and the service is also extremely slow. I usually find myself going to Flushing Library.

This library is small and a little stuffy for my taste. The staff is very nice and there is a relatively good selection as far as books and DVDs, but this is not a great place to study for a big test. I do find a more varied selection of books here than I do at other similar sized libraries. I feel this little library also works very hard to serve the community.

Very nice staff. Glad they are open 6 days a week.
