This place sucks! My cousin had her baby shower here. A week in advance, we spoke to the man in charge, and requested white tablecloths. The day of the baby shower they placed a pastel green ones. The table for the cake had no tablecloth. When I asked for a white one to be placed, they informed me they didn’t have any so they placed this ugly gold one with fringes. I had to go to national liquidator’s to buy a plastic white one. The waitress was rude and kept acting like she spoke no English. The food was okay. They only had like about 3 sticks of shish kebab for about 6 people to share and some of the salads/food my cousin ordered wasn’t even served. Don’t come here.

The food is average at best. I live near the restaurant and have been to an event their once. The food is not bad, but the people and atmosphere was an experience to say the least. The décor is so bad it makes you laugh. It is so outrageous I felt like I was on a carnival cruise designed Borat. These questions and more were all disgusted at dinner: Who seriously thinks this style is astetically pleasing? Are the people here stuck in a time warp? Do the owners really think they have reasonable taste? Ok food, but will never go thee again.

This is a 3.5 rounded up primarily for the FOOD. The atmosphere is absolutely lacking, with plastic covered tables, fluorescent lighting, a tv blaring in the background. The service is not particularly good, and it takes ages for food to get made. But it’s the food that is totally worth checking out. Had both the lula and salmon kebabs — not too plentiful, expect your orders to have just one kebab each(though a fairly good portion on each skewer), so order more than one if that is your entrée(they’re about $ 5 each). However, the taste on both are phenomenal, and both are highly recommended. Then there are all these foods with names I don’t know — manty, sukesh, samsa, etc. Maybe I’m remembering them wrong, but what they actually are are crispy hot pockets and dumplings. All worth checking out too. The radish salad with meat and egg, covered with a mayo sauce, was interesting, but not really a favorite. It was the babaganouj that blew us all away, however. The grilled flavor of the eggplant was so aromatic and comforting — it doesn’t come served with bread, which must be ordered separately, but you really can just eat it by the spoonful. Do NOT fail to order this! That the food just tastes so homemade and genuine is worth every star! PS — the costs don’t run too high. The 4 of us dined for $ 35, not including tip. PPS — what is up with the«national dishes» for 10? Bring lots of friends so you can try these.

Cute local Bukharan Kosher Restaurant. I had a very deliscious Borsch and a bowl of Bullion and Pelmeni. Borsch is a soup made with beets. I enjoy the red soup. Not too salty and just full of beets, potatoes and two large chunks of meat. The bowl of Pelmeni was just crowded with the little meat ravioli like dumplings. To go with our soup meal we had a nonee-tokee and a shish kebab of Lula. Nonee-tokee is a wonderful big flat bread that is crispy and like a cracker but with more substance. Lula is a ground meat that is skewered and grilled. Yum. The whole meal was $ 14.55 for two. They were such nice servers. I liked being refered to as Goyles(girls). Their accent reminds me of a great friend of mine. I wonder how he and his mamma are doing.
