Lee Myles Transmissions & Auto Care

I don’t bother with reviews unless I have great service or really bad service. Unfortunately, this experience was the latter.
Lee Myles on Northern Blvd in Flushing has to be the worst tranmissions autocare shop in New York City.
I had to replace my transmission a while back and paid an ungodly amount of money only to have problems with it again 6 month later. Another 5 months later, went in to get my oil changed and my mechanic had spotted a huge hole in the frame of the car. Our mechanic told us that the transmission could fall out because the frame isn’t secure.
He recommended we take it into Lee Myles to see if they can fix it for free since they were the only had took out our transmission twice. I was very reluctant to bring it into Lee Myles but I did anyway. This was a terrible idea on my part.
We brought it in on Tuesday morning at 8:30am. I called them later that day around 2pm to find out the status of the car. They told us they haven’t even gotten our car on the lift yet. I explained to them that I needed the car to use for my company. Lee Myles go on to tell me that if I take it home today I am going to lose my spot and will have to wait longer if I come in a few days later.
I decide to leave my car with them and they told me to call back in the morning and they will make sure my car gets worked on. I call them Wednesday morning at 9am, and they told me my car is going on the lift this morning to get worked on. I asked what time I can expect it to be done, and they said my car will be ready at 4:30pm but they suggested I come in at 4:15pm. Instead of getting to the garage by 4:15pm, I decided to call them first to see if it was ready.
Lee Myles puts me on hold for 5 minutes to «find out» the status of my car. They tell me that there is a stripped bolt and they need to fix it tomorrow. I remained calm and reminded them that they had told me to pick it up by 4:30pm, and it was unacceptable that the work still wasn’t finished. It took them 2 days to tell me what the problem was when I already knew the problem.
I just picked up my car 30 minutes ago and had to write this review before I forgot the details.
Please save yourself time and money and STAY AWAY FROM LEE MYLES!

Great service, and a real stand up guy! he has the most important quality that you as a customer looking for and it is honesty! he’s a terrific and courteous person and gave my car the best treatment that was possible!

Hey these guys were great. Courteous, honest and professional. Steve made me feel comfortable right from the start. We went on a ride along, he later called me as promised with the diagnosis of the problem and it was fixed in a timely manner. He addressed all my concerns and questions. My truck was noise free and driving better than ever. Thanks again guys, you’re a credit to your business.

Took my car there, and even though it took them a month to fix the transmission I still gave them 5 stars. They’re honest and they will not give you the car back until they fix it.
I will would go back and recommend them.

Stay away! I wanted them to rebuild my transmission, the sales guy assured me it can be done… however 4 hours later he calls me and says: It’s ready come to pick it up. I’m like… I thought it takes long to rebuild, and he tells me — we actually use a refurbished one in excellent shape straight from our LI shop. So they lied to me about that. Also we agreed on one price and he even wrote it on a piece of paper for me and signed and later he still charged me $ 200 more (wasn’t tax). According to him those are mandatory fees that he forgot to tell me and can’t do nothing about. However the biggest problem is that the car with new transmission runs, but doesn’t perform as well as the old one used to be. The new one is very noisy and acceleration is slow.
OMG, I can’t believe what they did too me, now I see why Americans are scared to leave their cars in the auto shop.
