Great sercice and food. We came here and tried the combination of their famous crispy fish pot with their shrimp pot. I’ve never had fish that was crispy before. When it arrived, I thought they gave us the wrong dish because it was very crispy, chewy and had tons of soft bones, and with a dirt taste in it. It did not taste like fish at all! I thought they gave us a squid of some sort. When I called the manager over, he was surprisingly nice. And he explained to me that is the special kind of fish and that it is just not for everyone. And he offered to make us another new flounder fish fillet pot on top! How nice! And when the founder fish fillet pot arrived, it was hot, spicy with intense good flavor just how I liked it and it tasted like fish! Woohoo! And the shrimp spicy pot was delicious. Again with the spicy and numbing flavor that I love and the shrimps were big, fresh and crispy. You can even byob for 15 dollars corkage fee here, which is amazing. Overall it was a pleasant dinner. You can’t beat good service and good food. Will be back again!

Great combo deals(for dates or families), good seafood, clean restaurant, and very friendly/attentive waitstaff. If you have a birthday cake for your party they can hold it til you’re ready and set it out with a fireworks candle and play birthday tunes while they bring it out! Overall great dinner experience.

My good friend recommended to try this place if I’m ever in Flushing. Came here for dinner with my friend, dinner for two. order the crispy fish pot, they all said it’s popular in China. And couple other appetizers. A pot of pork bone soup with veggies. Honestly, I personally prefer fish to be tender, not crispy in this way. But hey, this is the whole point of the whole restaurant. Spicy flavor was good among in the veggies in the pot, they are considerate enough to put a «drain» in the bottom of the pot to separate the oil from the food. The décor around the restaurant was modern and spacious, bathroom was clean and with a fresh clean scent, that’s plus. I also like how they offer you 2 free instant photos from your cell phone when you use the printer at the waiting area, this is very cool and makes the waiting time more pleasurable. But i think you need to have WeChat app installed in your phone though. Just like the other reviews, the management could use more service training with their staffs, they were not attentive enough. At a high peak restaurant like this near Main street, not only the food has to be interesting, good tasting but exceptional service is a must.

First time here and it’s for my friend’s birthday. They have hot pot which is my favorite. While Everyone is devouring this seafood platter, let me share a little bit of my experience about this place and it’s food with you food lovers out there. 1. Service — people here are friendly(I was given a warm welcome greeting as I walked into the place) 2. Food — gotta try their spicy fish pot(recommended by the staff), crispy fish? Never had it before but it tastes really good 3. Price — definitely reasonable enough considering all of the fresh seafood Alright, back to enjoy the food for now.

I don’t know why his place has only three stars, but I think they deserve 5. I didn’t get to try the hotpot, but the big pot of spicy fish is SOOO bomb here. Good amount of everything in the big pot and it was the right type of flavor for me. They also have fresh fruit juice and the food here is reasonably priced. The staff were also very nice. They were always near the tables so whenever we needed something they were around in a very close distance.

I can understand the mixed reviews here. I came here from Brooklyn under recommendation from someone who wanted to try this place because in China, it’s very good and popular. We came here on a weekend at 2pm and there wasn’t any customers in the place. We had a quiet time to figure out what we wanted. They don’t offer you water or tea but instead give you the beverage menu. Not a good start. I think water should be offered regardless if the customer wants to order other drinks. The waiter told us about the beverage menu so I picked the«Pick your own 3 fruits» drink and it came in a pitcher($ 14). I got the orange, watermelon and carrot. It tasted the normally taste, but after a while of sitting there, the drink looked very diluted with water. We got the spicy fish pot 金椒脆鱼锅 from the huge menu and then the waiter told us that it won’t be enough and asked us to order more from the paper menu. First we got the calamari salad and the cold crisp radish dish for about $ 7-$ 8 each. They come in dog-bowl-shaped plates. The calamari salad is worth the order but I can’t say so about the radish dish. The sauce table doesn’t offer much. After ordering a fish pot, if you wanted to add more ingredients, they just add water to your fish pot, but charged you for a brand new«base soup» as if you didn’t order the fish pot. I think that method is just wrong. The fish pot has too much peppers and salt. We added spinach, glass noodles, cuttlefish balls, winter-melon. For about $ 6-$ 7 for each ingredient is kinda pricey. They have 2 bathrooms, which is clean with a heavy door. At least they offered complimentary dessert with the amount of money we spent at this place.

Here is my review i went for the October birthday Deal. really great deal. It was really nice we got crispy fish dry pot on the house; which’s a must try! We had small pot priced $ 50 ! Thin slice, but few slices has tiny fishbone The fish tasted fresh the tiny chewy part on the fish slice has very nice texture. Priced bit higher compare to average flushing restaurant. We then ordered a vegetable with noodle they added bone soup(became hotpot) for us after they picked out fish and spices from original bowl. We had appetizer $ 7pineapple Roti prata(菠萝 甩饼) they has that in China everywhere I forgot to buy that when I was in china this summer. Note: We did not order much to put in hotpot only got the freshvegetable$ 5 + $ 12pitcherbeer +2 small piece of noodle$ 3 that is not fresh handsliced noodle(not recommended by me), they come in very small portion Like i said over priced… Their special fish has vegetable in it too. I did not like the waiter that insisted me to personally try to promote for their restaurant. He could of suggest me to promote but not monitors me… Iwas speechless, then I opened up my social app and shared a post so that my friends sees that. First off, I had internet connection slow he was waiting and staring at my phone with me. I felt so awkward! I promoted but I deleted later. Thankyou very much. the restaurant should promote on their own not pushing me to do that… Mediocre service; we did not give 15% tip the waitress ran after me, and I said the restaurant only recommend 15% or higher tip, she tries to argue with me. anyway Rude.. . good decoration. Come here when they offers deals.

This is my first ‘mean’ review, but I feel three stars might be pushing it. My wife and I hoped to try one type of dish but they didn’t have it, then we asked about another and they didn’t have that either. The dish we had wasn’t stellar, I myself liked the ‘Charpati’, but the whole experience seemed … mediocre. For a dinner I think everything on the menu should be available, and if it’s not the staff should be very apologetic and try wowing us, especially in an area that’s bursting at the seams with new restaurants trying to stay relevant. In my opinion the food wasn’t bad, but my wife wasn’t that happy with it. I know I’m not a food critic but if other reviewers call the fish amazing then it better be amazing and not ‘not bad’.

I don’t really eat spicy food, but the way they make their fish is special, I love it. Also, the décor is cool. Next time I will try the review the hotpot.

Came here for spicy fish pot(金椒脆鱼锅) and I was satisfied. The fish was somewhat crispy(not chip-crispy) and packed with spicy flavors. You will need at least medium spicy to get a kick out of it. Their green chili sauce paired nicely with the fish, so by all means try it. My only gripe is that there was only a layer of fish. Underneath that it was all veggie.

Ive been using Unilocal for many years. Its my main app that I used all the time. I love to eat and try all kinds of food, all the time. This is my first time writing a review on Unilocal and I couldnt have picked a better place to break my Unilocal review virginity. Lol. This place, Good Harvest, is a big franchise from China. Their main attraction is the chewy fish pot. These fish are freshly imported from China, thru airplane, overnight. This just shows how fresh it is and the sincerity of the owners. They stop at no cost to make sure every customer gets the freshest and best tasting fish possible. I was one of the lucky ones that first tried this world renowned fish pot. The taste was excellent. Exquisite. It has a very unique taste that I never tried before and nowhere else can offer. But dont get me wrong, their chewy fish pot isnt the only great thing about this place. Their flounder fish pot or shrimp pot or frog pot are also very tasty and delicious. And when youre done with any one of their special pots, give their hotpot a try. Its just as tasty and delicious. So this place isnt a one trick wonder. Having excellent tasting food aside, I also care about service a lot. This is also the reason I come here often. Their service is top notch. The waiters are so friendly and patience. The owners are also always there making sure if Im happy with everything and if there is anything they can improve on. So if anyone wants great tasting food and very caring and friendly service, this place is a must. Dont just take my word for it, go give it a try asap. P. S. Be prepared to wait a long time for a table. So reservation is recommended.

Here is my experience there. I understand some of the people saying the waiting is too long there, I mean, all good restaurants are having their waiting time, as long as the food is good there, I think waiting time will not be a factor to valuate a restaurant especially newly opened. I totally understand, but it worth to wait if you want to have something good and unique. I went to this restaurant with 3 of my friends because I tried this franchise in China before and I love it. The fish and dishes here are exactly the same taste as China which is very delicious. The Cui fish they called is only 40 pots limit a day, and they start selling at 5:00PM everyday, I recommend you to try that because it is tendered fish, different from other fish you can taste in US, very delicious when they mixed with their recipe. The price is reasonable, and beer was 4 dollars each, very good place to drink also. So I ordered a medium size pot and 3 cold dishes, I love all of them, it is very special nothing I have ever tasted before. The staffs here are very friendly, they introduce us the taste of different food, the history of the restaurant and recommend us the good food, after we done with the fish, we ordered hotpot which is amazing, everything was so fresh there, the soup from the hotpot is amazing. I will go back again in no time, Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. If you never tried it, you should go give a shot.

Come here for dinner because in China. It’s very delicious. But really very disappointed. There is no service. Food is no taste. The dinner cost is not worth almost $ 100. Just waste ur money. I’d rather go to Burger King’s to eat 2 for 5. Very bad experience.

TL;DR — — - The food was okay, but too expensive, management skills are poor, customer service is meh. The Experience — — — — — — So I arrived, and I’m hungry like usual wanting to try something new. My friend Unilocal’ed out this place, and so we decided to try it out. I went in and it looks okay busy, and so, I went to take in a number. These solely assumed«cashier» staff aren’t even listening to me as they were busy bring the checks to the customer. The frustration happens here I know that the restaurant wants me to eat here, but they shouldn’t have told me the wait time was 20 minutes, because I ended up waiting for 45 minutes until my friend got sick from the starvation. Talk about management skills The staff told us that the available table only has two seats available, and that the next available table was around 5 minutes. So I stood there and waited. and waited… until I ran out of patience. Five minutes to a minute, over and over again. I’m like, «Are you damn serious, making us wait an hour when you said 20 minutes?!» in Cantonese. And finally, we got our seat, but my best friend’s girl went to the bathroom cause she felt nauseous after waiting for such a long time. How do you even make someone sick for waiting! LOL. Time to fill my tummy Food was decent, but way way way too expensive. A medium fish bowl for $ 60 bucks, and two extra appetizers cost another $ 10. Well, at least the egg for my sauce was 50 cents! I ended up finishing the entire bowl of fish, but didn’t even get started on the hotpot yet because everyone was full. So I called for the check. Kissing my greens goodbye The bill came out to a wopping $ 70 dollars, and my best friend wanted to leave. I wanted to pay 5% tip, but the staff were just«stupid», not unresponsive. I wasn’t really suprised about the bill, but I think the prices are just there to cover construction costs and rent for now. So, nice try guys! I’m not sure if I am coming back, but this restaurant needs improvement. I mean, lots of it. At least don’t lie to me about the wait time. Shesh.

Decided to give this place a try on a Friday night.(w. high expectation) Yeah, the interior designs are pretty awesome, the wall decorations are adorable. BUT let’s just pay more attention to their foods. The fish pot is unreasonably expensive. Why? For a pot(dry) of flounder fillet(which costs 3.99/pd in supermarket) mixed with dried peppers, they charged us $ 60.We can get the same thing from new world mall for like 15 bucks. MAN, THATSABSOLUTELYCRAZY. We also tried to order veggies and their staffs kindly informed that«veggies are only for the hotpot.» SERIOUSLYDUDE? Besides food, their staffs are pretty friendly but it doen’t mean that they are professional trained. What does professional mean in this extent? It means that staffs from EVERYOTHER Chinese restaurant have more training than staffs in this restaurant. In conclusion = a solid zero star.
