Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I rented a van for a day to load up my son’s dorm. The prices at this location were better than LGA. The vehicle was ready at my requested time. However, both check-​in and dropping off required much wait time as only one person worked the front desk.

We received a rental car from another Enterprise, which went well. However, nearby to this location, we got a flat. Erik and Rich were so unbelievably helpful and kind to us both during our phone conversations and in person. Although this was a very stressful experience for us, these 2 bent over backwards to make sure that we had another car. Even though we were a last minute reservation, they tried their best to get us a car that was comparable. They didn’t have anything available in «stock,» so they gave us a larger car (which made me very nervous!). Seeing this, they offered for me to return tomorrow and would try to get us either into the SAME car we left (tire fixed and everything!), or something smaller if they had it available. We were so happy! Thank you Erik and Rich!

Worst place ever. Very deceptive online about what can be used to rent and what cannot be used. Manager is subpar in his customer service skills. Front desk is even worse.

my rental was arranged thru my insurance company. i was advised to call before heading over. i wanted an suv. i called and on the phone i was told the same car was $ 30.00 a day more than i had the reservation for. i had to argue and then the rep. gave in to honor the rate. when i got there, guess what? there was one suv on the lot that was in the price range. not 3 but one. no «loads » horrible customer service. dont go there. the rep. said he was the manager. he lies. the manager was off today. if no other car was available in new york, i would rather walk. how can you rent from people who look into your eyes and lie?

I was so desperate for a car, no car rental company even other branches of Enterprise could help me, but this branch, specifically Jordane and her crew, made it happen for me! And they did not make me upgrade to a more expensive car… she just worked her magic! The driver came to the repair shop I was waiting at within minutes and brought me to this branch of Enterprise where I was in and out within minutes! Thank you Jordane and the management of Enterprise on 165 – 07 Northern Blvd.!!

Very organized, was in and out quickly. Rented a car for the weekend and had my pick of cars, loved the one I had. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely use again and highly recommended!

The people at Hempstead were more than nice and everything went swimmingly. However, I did not reserve a rental car from hempstead. I had put my reservation online through enterprise to pick my car up at Mineola. After getting to Mineola I was made aware that they did not have the car I reserved. I had to wait several minutes, then took a trip all the way to hempstead where they had a car. It was extremely inconvenient to go back and forth, especially since I had made the reservation in advance. Like I said, hempstead was fine… Mineola, not so much!

The staff was extremely friendly and they took a great deal of time with us when we were in need a car for a long trip.

My car went into the shop, and I called Enterprise. Yes, they picked me up. Took me back to the lot/​shop and got me started. They gave me a shop rate because my car was being repaired, and everyone frmo the pickup person to the manager was super friendly.

This was my 2^nd time here. I don’t want the other Unilocalers are talking bout bad customer service… An etc! Every time I called I was always treated great. They have great phone skills, yes you maybe on hold and that bC they are such a busy location. We all need a little bit of patience. And things always get done! Amanda was actually the person I have been speaking with since I have been coming here. She’s always a pleasure and always smiling. Answers all my questions and concerns. Everyone in there has been really nice and take care of each customers that walks in. Nothing negative at all! Will deft be coming here to any of my rentals need over anywhere else! Great job to everyone at that location!!! 5 stars all the way!

I had TERRIBLE service at this location!!! I recently reserved (days ahead) a cargo van at this location and my reservation was not honored. I was contacted the night before to confirm that I will be picking up the van, I confirmed and agreed, «YES, a cargo van.» I called again in the morning to confirm once again that they will have a cargo van because I had taken the day off to move to my new apartment, the man that answered said, «Yes, no problem, we have your reservation and we are ready for you.»
I reached the location and was rudely greeted by the manager, Amanda Archdeacon. When I gave her my reservation she said they didn’t have a cargo van and they attempted to reach me to tell me. LIES!!! Immediately this was infuriating! She never made eye contact and brush us off like we didn’t matter. When questioned on why would someone tell me the night before and the morning of that there was a cargo van available, she simply ignored the question and kept typing. Obviously, at this point we were mad. Again when asked why no one mentioned or left a voicemail or something to tell me there was no cargo van, she responded with, «I don’t know, I didn’t think of that.» WHAT KIND OF MANAGER ARE YOU!!!
I’ve contacted headquarters, filed a complaint and I never heard back from ANYONE.
This company is terrible and this Flushing location is HORRIBLE!!! Amanda Archdeacon is by far the worst manager in a customer service industry. She should be demoted or fired.

I rent from this location monthly and for the past 5 years I have never had a problem. They have great customer service and often I receive a free upgrade. New staff at this location including management so hopefully the great customer service continues. They always provide me with a ride home, never an issue.
Keep up the good work new staff!

Horrible new manager replaced an excellent one. Be prepared for incompetence, indifference, and hostility. Too bad, it used to be the go to place in the neighborhood if you were in a pinch for a car.

Good service. Extra points should be given to their availability on Sunday morning, which is not the case in many other branches in the city. Try to get there as early as possible, if picking up a car on a weekend morning.

Brian hooked me up with an SUV when the insurance would only pay for an intermediate ride. I Am a big guy so it helped alot. THANKS BROTHER !

I must say that this placed accommodated for us when we traveled to New York. We were so naïve and careless and didn’t exactly know where we were going. We were late returning the car on time. The reps were outstanding and the manager was understandable.
The area is a bit sketchy and to my experience, that is the only down side of it.

First time I used these guys in Jan 2014 after our car was damaged because of the snow storm, I needed a rental through my insurance company. They were super courteous when I got there, very polite, and reminded me when I was in private school and they taught us etiquette and proper manners.
I went there yesterday (old school in person style) to see if I could get a better deal because online reservation wasn’t giving me enough mileage for my planned trip. I wanted to see if I could get a lower rate for a 4-​day minivan rental. Although the rep, James (who is cool and nice) wasn’t able to lower it, he thought about my options with me and plugged in some numbers and said if I purchased an additional day, then they were having a promotion where they’d give an extra 2 days for free — so 7 days for the price of 5! My mileage would then significantly increase to cover my trip. He even lowered by overage mile charge from $ 0.25/mi to $ 0.15 — and although that doesn’t seem like a lot, I appreciated the gesture and time he took.
Although I ultimately found an even better deal elsewhere, I give them 5 stars for customer service (a lady who was there said she keeps coming back to them because how nice these guys are) — seems too good to be true, hope everyone has a good experience here. I would knock off one star for the crummy location and tiny lot, but that’s not their fault — they do well regardless. Don’t judge this branch by its cover.

I had a great experience here. The car I used was very nice and all the staff were very friendly. The staff member that set me up with my rental car stayed with me for a while to make sure my GPS was set up correctly. I only have 2 small issues: 1) I was given two different numbers in regards to how much would be held on my card. When I called and spoke to Melanie (I think her name is), she gave me a lower hold price than I was given at the counter. It wasn’t a big deal, but consistency is good. The other issue is, when I was dropping my car off, I heard the manager I believe offer someone else that was dropping off a ride. I know this is customary with Enterprise rental cars, but I was not offered a ride anywhere, it would have been helpful as the closest train station is not within walking distance (a bus ride away). Besides that, I had no issue, I would definitely use them again.

Women named Haydee proceeded to take me to a car. This car was all scratched up with black marks on the front and marks on the rear. When I took pictures cause there is no way I am being charged for that she got nastier. I drive the car 5 miles home, only to try the car the next morning and there was some major problem with it. I guess they do send out wrecks. I would never recommend this location again it
was an abomination, gross and so was Haydee the enterprise employee. She either needs anger management and
basic interpersonal skills. Don’t patronize
this location.

I needed a rental car after being involved in an accident. My first time there, I thought the manager, Matthew, and the worker Christina had extremely great customer service. However, after returning my car, I realized how they have horrible customer service.
Geico was taking care of my bill but enterprise charged me $ 200 for an additional insurance fee that I was unaware of. Christina failed to explain that to me when I first got the car and failed to tell me it would not be covered by Geico. Once explaining that to the manager, he was nice enough to waive the fee. However a month later, I noticed it was never refunded back on my credit card. So I called them only to have the manager tell me he doesn’t recall this and will call me back after looking into it. He never called me back.
I don’t appreciate doing business with people who make false promises and who deceive their customers. I will not be coming back here and I will not be recommending this place to others.
