The food is cheap and decent. The breading for the fried stuff is pretty legit(a lot of MSG mMMMm). Service isn’t stellar. They usually get the orders wrong and gratuity is added without the patrons knowing. The owner lady always has a scowl on her face– as if everyone owes her for being in her restaurant. Extremely rude and demeaning.

Pork chop rice is a must! This spot serves authentic Taiwanese food all at a very reasonable price and portion. I’ve been coming here for years and the flavor haven’t change one bit. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.

Food here is always delicious! Never a disappointment oof course! I’ve been coming her for over a decade!!! If you want yummy Taiwanese food.. try the beef, tomatoes, and egg over rice, the pork chop over rice, chicken with ginger and basil, snow pea pods, zucchini and many more. If you want to be adventurous try the fried crispy intestines and stinky tofu. My favorites! Happy eating!!!

Grew up eating Taiwanese food in the California east bay, so I’m a harsh critic, but this place is pretty decent. The braised pork belly plate was excellent, as was the stir fried beef with yellow chive and tofu. The thin noodle oyster soup was sub par and tasted like cornstarch. The oyster pancake was a little starchy as well. The service was great and our servers were incredibly fast; we had our food in minutes.

I’ve been coming to Prince 66 for years now. My father introduced me to this little spot when he fell in love with their wonton soup. He raved about it and it definitely lives up to the hype. Located in the heart of Flushing on Prince, is Prince 66. This is very no frills Taiwanese dining. This is a small Mom and Pops stop for basic grub. The Wonton Soup is delicious. Filled with fresh vegetables and a delicious broth. The wontons are very light in weight. My staple item here is the flavorful Ginger Basil Chicken and white rice. Pair that with the the light fluffy white rice, you’ve got a very filling meal. This dish is very aromatic and chocked full of flavor. I can taste the fresh ginger and basil as I type this. There isn’t much of an ambiance. A few tables on on the lower and upper level and a cute fish tank with Parrot fish in it. I wish this place we’re renovated and more attractive but it serves it’s purpose. Affordable authentic grub for the late night prowlers.

We had lunch here today and we ordered one soup and two dishes. When ordering, the waitress asked us if we order from menu we had on our hand(the menu they gave us when stepping into the store), I felt quit strange but no further inquiry. We paid $ 45 include tips(they add tips on the bill without asking). After we stepping out the store, we found that there is another menu with special lunch meals, the meals include dishes that exactly same as what we just had, and it just cost $ 21. It feel just like fraud. Bad service.

Love the Pork Chop and Rice. Been coming here for 10 years when it use to be $ 3.50. Now it’s at least doubled! Watercress and Beef with Sa Cha is delicious as well as usual. I usually come here when I’m in the area and want a quick bite and don’t want to think. My little daughter loves the pork chop as well!

This was the go-to spot for Taiwanese pork chop since the college days. Portions are huge and taste is authentic. Prices have gone up in the years but quality of food stayed the same. Love the pork chop over rice and the 3 cup chicken here. Service can be a hit or miss as the waitresses speak little to no English. Beware of the notorious stinky tofu. The rotten stench is something I often come across when eating here. Try not to lose your appetite :)

What a letdown! Two bad things happened when I came to this place: 1) When I ordered Beef Stew on Rice I was expecting the traditional beef stew that traditionally consists fat and slim beef combined with vegetables cooked slowly in a saucy base. However, what they provided me was beef shank on rice. I have previously encountered that some Chinese restaurants are unable to properly translate their menus from Chinese to English. Maybe this restaurant doesn’t have the proper English translation to its menu… I suggest this restaurant should revise its English translation of its menu to see if it truly reflects the type of dish it means for its customers. 2) The waitress was so distracted that she gave my take out to someone else. They had to cook another take out from scratch. Thus, I had to wait for longer time than expected for my take out…

This was our go to spot years ago if you wanted their chicken cutlet or pork chop on rice. They also have awesome stinky tofu! Came here with hubby on a whim and ordered a squid/mushroom noodle soup and hubby got his pork chop on rice. He loved it and devoured every single bite. We love the preserved cabbage they put on top of it. so good! My noodle was ok too and i expected squid pieces but i got what looked like squid balls with pieces of squid inside. Would come again for some chicken cutlet on rice. Mmmm!

More of a 3.5 star review but since I was starving and the food was fast, I’ll give it 4 stars. First of all, get the pork with bamboo over rice! I literally get it every time I come here and it’s delicious. I also tried the tomato and shrimp over rice. It was pretty meh, I wouldn’t order it again. Serving sizes are just enough to get you content. Come here if you want some fast food or if it’s really late at night. Waitress was super nice

I love their beef & tomato over rice and the pork chop over rice. Prices have gone up a little over the years($ 7.50 as of 2⁄16 for the pork chop). It’s a cash only place. Those 2 dishes I found to be particularly good but other dishes are just okay. The food comes out pretty fast. Service is a hit or miss. Last time, it was good, they kept my cup of tea full. They’re supposedly moving soon to a Kissena location as of a few months ago but they’re still there on prince & roosevelt as of now. Their hours have changed though, they used to be open til 2 or 3am, but now they close around midnight.

Been going here for more than 20 years? There’s a reason why I go back. Besides the fact that this was my late father’s favorite restaurant — they have really great Taiwanese food that hits the table at the speed of light. I crave their beef noodle soup. They also make really great porkchops and salt and pepper squid /shrimp. As a matter of fact, there’s nothing that’s failed my taste buds. As for the cheap prices — you’ll definitely want to get a little bit of everything. As most places in Flushing, they don’t take credit card. Cash only. Be prepared!

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant more and more. The waitress and owner knows us now and always gives us free appetizers. Other than sometimes being a little salty, I have no complaints about the food. The deep fried pork chops is a must get! Their stinky tofu isn’t bad either. I would also recommend the medicinal chicken soup because you feel so good after drinking it. But the bathroom is gross. Like absolutely disgusting. Don’t go in there. I guess the entire ambiance of the restaurant is just missing something. You don’t get a welcoming feeling whether you go during the winter or summer.

No frills Taiwanese lunch box joint. We’ve always passed by it since Nan Xing is practically next door. Everyone speaks Mandarin and very little English. We ordered the pork chop noodle soup and fried chicken leg over rice. The soup was quite light and flavorful. I love fried shallots that was sprinkled on it. The pork chop was pre-cut and left to the side. A subtle sweet flavor could be tasted from the pc which sorta weird for me. My beb wasn’t a fan of the chicken as it was dried out but liked the meaty gravy sauce that was covered over the rice. Also be aware that they automatically add gratuity to the bill thou you wouldn’t know that since they hand write their receipts and it’s almost illegible.

i was really craving chinese food and 66lu’s DOES serve chinese food, so it hit the spot… to some degree. it was just _SO_salty !! that i felt a little closer to death with each bite. D: if they just eased up on the salt, the food would’ve been decent! but for now, i’m better off sampling one of the other hundreds of chinese restaurants in the area.

About 10 years ago, I used to come here for dinner about once a week, usually late night. Then a few years ago, I noticed that their overall quality went down — food quality and the cleanliness of the restaurant. One main reason I stopped going there was because of the lack of cleanliness. We had an incident where I drank from a water glass that had someone else’s left over noodles stuck to the inside of the glass — obviously the dishwasher was not thorough. We asked for a new glass of water. As we continued our dinner, my husband drank out of his tea cup which also had left over noodle’s stuck to the inside of of the glass. Needless to say we were both grossed out as we drank this dirty nasty water from the glasses. TWO nasty dirty glasses during one meal. C’mon! No apology, no comped meal, nothing. If the restaurant reads this, I’d like to ask you why it is so hard for your staff to inspect the glasses, plates, chopsticks, spoons, forks etc. for cleanliness before setting the table? It’s a shame because our experience that day makes us think, what other icky stuff have we eating there without knowing it.

My family and I went here because the line to Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings was out the door. The Taiwanese fare wasn’t bad, but not my favorite type of Asian cuisine. They had pretty good stinky tofu and beef noodle soup. Their eggplant dish was also a gorgeous purple. All the food came out quickly, which was great. However, the service was not the best. We had to always ask for a refill on our tea. If we asked for a bowl of rice, it would be slammed on the table. The waiters seemed not too ecstatic to be there.

The food isn’t the same as it used to be, but I’m talking 10 years ago… however, their service is still really fast and it’s still a steal if you’re looking for an eclectic choice of Taiwanese fare, and their infamous pork chop over rice(that tasted 10x better 10 years ago… Lol okay okay, I’ll let it go since the portion is still as gigantic and extremely filling as it has ever been!) Worth stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood to judge for yourself!

I first found this place when a group of my friends wanted to get a bite to eat after a night of bowling. This’d place is open pretty late so it was pretty convenient. What’s also convenient is there is a small municipal parking lot right across the street. It’s fault ready to get parking there late night. What’s great about this place is the super tasty food and the cheap prices. Rice plate range from like $ 7 – 10. And they give a ton of food on your plate. My favorite are the pork chop over rice, the chicken leg over rice, beef and tomatoes over rice and the fried fish with chili peppers over rice. This is really great Asian comfort food. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Don’t expect many smiles when you walk in and you won’t be disappointed. Besides you don’t go to this old school type of place for that. You go to eat good food late at night, after a night of fun.

Haven’t been here in over 10 years and was here 3 weeks ago and their food still did not impress me as 10 years ago I had their taiwanese 3 cups chicken. Its chicken chopped into pieces and made with ginger, scallion and basil’s. One of my favorite dish in Taiwan. The 3 cup chicken here was bland and the chicken had some weird chicken taste. Me and my friend also shared their stir fried watercress with garlic. And that was decent but anybody can make that at home. Overall, I guess I won’t return to this place again for another 10 years

Pork with Bamboo Shoots. Sliced Beef with Chile Peppers. Basil Beef. Stinky Tofu. BESTPORKWITHBAMBOOSHOOTSEVER. I literally can’t live without those when I’m at 66. And I literally always regret trying out other Taiwanese joints when I’m craving the food mentioned above. To each their own, but I’ve tried many many Taiwanese restaurants in Flushing, even the most popular ones, but yet I keep coming back to 66. Service isn’t on point, neither is the dirty bathroom, but the food is! Price is fair as Taiwanese fare always seems to be a bit more $ than let’s say a regular Chinese hole in the wall or HK style food. Parking around here is easier than other parts of flushing as theres a parking lot across the street.

This was one of the first restaurants that caught my eye when I discovered Flushing a few years back. «A Taste of Taiwan in New York» was what got my attention and I’ve been meaning to check them out, but never got around to it. I finally came in the other day and we were rushed to our table by an abrasive female server. We’re not unaccustomed to seemingly-rude-but-they’re-not-really-rude-they’re-just-straight-forward servers, so we weren’t too bothered. The two of us got to our four-seater table and she shooed us towards the window so that she could turn the tables into two two-seaters. Still, not bothered(not too much at least). As we reviewed the menu, another table of four was leaving. Same abrasive woman aggressively stops them before they leave and tells them to tip more. They do, but now I’m bothered. The service was already proving to not be that great and while I understand servers live on their tips, it is still called«gratuity» and while there is an etiquette to tipping, it is still at the customer’s discretion. For the record, before I move on, we did tip her properly, but not because we thought she deserved it. The service wasn’t bad enough for us to not follow the basic guidelines to tipping.(And we didn’t want her to chase us.) We only ordered off their appetizer menu. When scouting out Taiwanese food in the states, I always aim for the street food first. I wasn’t impressed. The meatball(bawan) had a tough skin, filling was more mushrooms than meat, and the sauce was just this random, neon red sauce. I look for a strong garlic soy sauce with a thicker sweet sauce added on top. A sweet, spicy, salty, super garlicky sauce would have saved the dish. The minced pork with rice was fine. The sauce was decent, but there was barely any meat and the portion was small. The oysters with thin noodles was actually my favorite of the dishes we tried, but even that was only mediocre. The BF literally spit it out when he tried it. Acquired taste, I guess. I also think they’re slightly overpriced for the cuisine and the quality. Nope, won’t go back.

I’ve been coming here since HS and this place has always been my go to for the Taiwanese pork chop rice dish. Prices have gone up since then and the quality has gone down. The dish isn’t as good as I remember which is a shame. I always get my dish to go when I’m in the area, but with the climbing prices, I go elsewhere to get my fix. i don’t know if the chef or recipe changed, but the dish no longer tastes the same. The pickled veggies and cabbage is pretty nonexistent and tasteless. The pork chop itself is still good, but I also come here for the pickled veggies. I feel the combination of the pickled veggies + pork chop is what makes the dish. Without one or the other, this dish isn’t worth eating. There are better Taiwanese places in the area so I wouldn’t go out of your way to come here.

stinky tofu– I can say that I have tried it and it is not for me. I thought eating fish paste, fish sauce and durian, I could handle it but there is a whole level or stinkness that this dish brings which is out of my league.(No offense to anyone who are Taiwanese). porkchop over rice– amazing! It was crunchy on the outside and the meat was so tender. I love the cabbage and egg that came with the dish. The best part was the rice was smeared with minced pork gravy. sautéed spinach with garlic– standard. pork with bean curd– It had a great flavor. It was the hard regular tofu and it held up pretty good with the tender pork.

Looking for some late night comfort food that’s cheap and yummy? 66 is an ideal place for late night dining, especially after a few rounds of drinks and such. It’s a small and casual place, where service isn’t too stellar but food is great. Swung by here for a dinner and ordered: Taiwanese hamburger, porkchops over rice, and oyster pancake. Even though two of the dishes were appetizers, the portions here are pretty big! O. O The Taiwanese hamburger is mostly pork belly stuffed inside a huge bun. Sweet and savory, this is a solid appetizer to get if you’re really hungry. As for the oyster pancake, there weren’t too many oysters in it but it was pretty tasty in a slightly greasy way. For the main entrée, the porkchops came out pretty fast. I believe this dish was already pre-made given its popularity since it wasn’t too hot when I got it. The seasoning on the porkchop was pretty average, slightly more on the salty side. However, the gigantic portions made up for the taste. Overall, this was a solid meal that satiated my hunger. One major con about this place was the service. The wait staff are rather gruff and off putting if you ask for service. Furthermore, a word of caution, do read and re-calculate your bill when you receive it. My friend and I got overcharged by a few dollars but we didn’t mind it too much since we thought they included tip in with the bill. But lo and behold, we were wrong. After paying the miscalculated bill AND throwing in some extra dollars… we were actually stopped by one of the wait staff and got a scolding on how we should tip more. Hm. Not sure how to address the rudeness of this waitress, my friend and I simply threw down another dollar and politely told her that it was up to the customers who decide the tipping and not the staff… especially when it was only a party of two.

This is my hubby’s go-to place for deep fried pork chops on rice. That is the only thing he orders here. Deep fried perfectly. So yummy! I really like their hung siew beef noodles in soup. Truly one of the best I’ve had in ny. Very flavorful. The big pieces of meat were tender.

Mediocre. I was so excited when I saw the menu because I recognized so many traditional Taiwanese dishes, including small snacks. But the food was really so-so, edible but not satisfying, and missing so much of the flavor of Taiwan.

This place has been around for a long time, decent food and usual flushing pricing. However I’m giving it 2 stars for my experiences today. Came at 1pm with 2 other adult and a toddler. They sat us at a table for 4 but it has this circular glass top that’s meant for those bigger round table that rotates. The glass top is not attached permanently and it was clear this glass top is meant for a much bigger table but it was placed here temporally. It creates an uneven surface so I politely asked the waitress if it can be moved and she said no and it was attached permanently which is a lie(I was later able to move it around so it was even for the toddler), my companions told me not to fuss so we dropped it. The service is typical, they drop their good then leave which is fine. However when the check came the math didn’t add up and that’s when I asked and they confirmed that they’ve added on a 16.66% tip to the bill. This is a small dingy(okay not that dingy) restaurant in flushing, I’m in a party of 4(and the 4th one is a toddler(and u r going to tag on tip??? It’s not even obvious the way it’s written on the bill nor did the waitress mention to me tip was included prior, it just seems shady and makes me believe they r doing this on purpose for extra tip. Food was fine but the events above left me annoyed, not sure if I come back again.

My first having stinky tofu here and probably my last time. How do people eat it? There’s not enough soy sauce and tsing tao to drown the smell and taste. The taste was milder than the smell but still!!! Funk is funky. The oyster omelette was just ok. I think the oyster were old because it wasn’t flavorful. I ordered the pork chop over rice which is the top seller here. Service was rude so I felt right at home. Boo boo would love this place minus the stinky tofu.

Always good to eat the food from here especially the pork chop over rice, pork chop noodle soup or the beef and tomato over rice. YUMMY. If you’re picking up food to go then order in advance so you don’t have to wait. I called them last month for a pick a pick up and their # was disconnected but now it’s working. When ordering the pork chop noodle soup to go they actually pack the noodles separate from the soup so it won’t get soggy and the same with the pork chop. Love it!

Came here with a bunch of friends for dinner! I really want to give 66 Lu’s Seafood 5 stars because the pork chop over rice really is that amazing but I do have to take a star off for the service/décor. The waiter seemed really impatient with us and was rushing us when we were still deciding what to get. It was also annoying because none of them speak English/Cantonese but luckily a few of my friends speak Mandarin, otherwise it would’ve been a true communication disaster. The décor was not fancy and seemed kind of cluttered but it’s not the worst I’ve seen. As for the food, it was great! Pork chop over rice– The portions were HUGE and the best thing is that it’s cheap too! For $ 7.95, you get 2 humongous, delicious, nutritious, droolicious pork chops, a tea egg, vegetables, rice with minced beef and sour vegetables! SODELICIOUS and is a must get here! Oyster pancake– I’ve heard rave reviews about it but I only found it to be less than average. While I did like the egg omelette and the texture of it, there weren’t that many pieces of oyster in there. The oyster was ok. Intestines with chili peppers– This wasn’t what we had intended to get and I only found it to be average. I had wanted the intestines with the sweet/sour sauce on the side but we got this instead. It didn’t really meet my expectations. Stinky tofu– Loved it! It’s not a stinky as other stinky tofu that I’ve had before but I loved the sourness of it! Overall, I would recommend coming to 66 Lu’s Seafood for their most famous dish, the pork chop over rice! It’s just so delicious, filling and cheap! The other dishes were ok but the pork chop over rice is what really shines!

The place has been open for quite a while so u can assume that they do indeed serve good taiwanese food. Their signature dish is the pork chop over rice and chicken leg over rice. The batter is infused with an all spice that makes it taste phenomenal. I’ve complained that it was a little on the oily side. But they do give u a good portion with cabbage and egg on the side. It’s still a must try. Among other dishes, I’ve also had the chicken, sautéed watercress and grass carp which were all pretty good, but again, they put a tad too much oil. The waitstaff is courteous for any Asian restaurant u walk into. Food comes out fast. Tip included in check. Open till 4am and convienently located across a small parking lot. U can sit down for a good meal yet still make a fast getaway. Worth your trip.
