Awful, awful place. The first time I got my nails done here the manager serviced me and I was quite pleased with everything and thought that I might like to come back. Fast forward to today and I had the WORST experience that I have ever had at a nail salon. I am greeted by the technician and I greet her-plesantly. The first thing I noticed is that my technician was less than enthusiastic about waiting on me. I sat down for a pedicure(along with a manicure) and she immediately started talking to another technician in her native language who, in turn, looks me up and down. First red flag right there. She then verly slowly begins to work on my feet and looks up repeatedly to see who is coming through the door. She also proceeds to get up and walk to the employee room several times leaving me to sit with my feet in the water. Second flag. Next, I notice that she is in the back talking to someone(or at least I thought she was). She does this at least four times while working on my feet so it is taking her an abnormal amount of time with my pedicure. The next time she she goes back to the employee room to «talk to someone» I move up my seat to see who she keeps talking to-there is no one back there and she doesn’t have a phone. BIG third red flag. This continues for a half an hour before she gets up again to go to the front of the store a to help a customer(one of her regulars, I think). She leaves me at the pedicure station for 10 minutes helping her other customer pick out a color.(WTF? WHODOESTHAT???) Fourth red flag. None of her co-workers say anything to her or me. I try to make eye contact and a bit of noise and they ignore me. No one seems to care. When she finally does come back I inform her that I just want the pedicure and that’s it. She looks at me surprised and says, «you no have time?». I tell her«no». «You sure you no want maicure?» she asks. I tell her that I am positive. She takes a very long time to finish and mutters to herself in her language while she does this. Sometimes her co-workers respond to her ramblings, sometimes they ignore her. She then walks me over to the drying station and leaves me there. I have to ask another technician to take my payment. I have tried to figure out why I was treated so poorly by this techinician and her coworkers… I was never once impolite or difficult. What was the problem? Maybe it was the way I dressed? But I was dressed no differently than anyone else in the salon. I wouldn’t accept an upsell offer? No, I upsold myself. I asked for double services and even asked for a deluxe pedicure. I wasn’t a regular? I noticed that everyone seemed to know each other to some degree. I was an outsider. I DOKNOW this: I got a dud of a technician who may have been mentally ill. I was treated VERYBADLY and I won’t be coming back.
