First time here. Great food and cool ambiance. We had the New Years special and it was really fantastic. We will be back.

I took my parents to this place during their stay here and we all loved it! Great food with interesting combinations made this an instant hit with my family. It is so cute on the inside too, which always helps a restaurant!

During our overnight stay in Floyd, my husband and I ate here for dinner and brunch the following morning. My husband and I both enjoyed our dinner, but found service to be pretty slow. We chalked it up to it being busy, and decided to give them another chance at brunch the next morning. Our brunch was extremely disappointing. We were the only diners there, and service was still beyond slow. My French toast was more like toast. The bread didn’t have much batter on it at all, and it was served with ONE cut up strawberry. All in all, not overly impressed and will probably choose a different eating establishment next time we are in Floyd.

I’d recommend bringing a snack with you because this place ISSLOWERTHANMOLASSES. After being seated by the hostess, it took nearly 25 minutes for our server to take our drink order. Then, after waiting 20 more minutes for our drinks and asking our server where they were, the server admitted they had forgotten about it. Food arrived 30 min after we placed order. The restaurant was in no way crowded & we were a party of four people. The food was ok. Setting is quirky. Servers were nice enough. Will not visit again.

This spot is a must! It was the most well planned menu in Floyd. The most demanding of eaters will be pleased with the selection and quality offered. I had the slow roasted pork tacos w/homemade Kimchee. It was great. Weather your a Carnivore or Vegan you will be pleased with dining here. The local sangria was a tasty beverage for a hot June Day. The service was great and very helpful with deciding on the menu. The music was on point too. Thanks Odfellas!

I love this place. We eat here quite often. It is funky, but so often funky is a bad substitute for tasty. Not so, here. I have pretty much sampled the menu. And I have never been disappointed. Try any of their beef dishes; the beef is local, grass-fed and very good. I also like their veggie options. Today I had the special, which was a cheddar jalapeño veggie burger. YUM. I can truthfully say that I have never been disappointed. And, the service is alway fast, with a genuine smile.

Perhaps its that we are from Chicago one of the best Restaurant cities in the US but to be honest the food here was really disappointing. Worst thing is that we were house hunting and had just gotten done deciding on making an offer on a place and it would have been nice to know that there was a place nearby that we could count on but I don’t think so. I think we will keep looking. My GF and I both ordered some appetizers which were really so disappointing I cant even remember what they were. Kinda like someone just threw something together and I do remember that it was extremely salty. For a main course we both ordered the ribeye which the server praised. Well maybe once again being from one of the best steak towns in the US the Oddfellas ribeye was neither something to write home about or for that matter I don’t really believe it was a ribeye. If it was it was the oddest ribeye cut I have ever seen. The steak was basically a flat rather thin piece of meat that was over 50% fat and grizzle. that was no ribeye!!! in addition the«garlic» didn’t taste any, mash potatoes were kinda cold. I will say we did enjoy the music. Not sure what other restaurants are in town but if this is it. I think we are in trouble or looking at going a bit further a field. Finally, I have to say that the wait staff was rather lost. My gf asked if there was a bar to have a drink before dinner and she told us it was upstairs so we just satin the main dining room. Why would you have a bar upstairs. kinda weird. Final conclusion, amateurs taking advantage of a lack of competition. By the way, what is Cuban Tempeh? Is this something someone made up. Because I am Cuban and I have never heard of anything named Tempeh. So please, get on with it!!! NOthing my mom or grandmother ever made that’s for sure!!!

I recently dined here with my friend up in the Tapas bar part of the restaurant. I enjoyed the décor and homey feel but it got pretty loud easily and it was hard to hear conversation. Our waitress Anna was a sweetheart and while the restaurant was busy, she made sure to check on us multiple times. I had the hummus and patatas bravas, which I loved. I definitely would be interested in returning and trying some other things!

The best meal I’ve had all week. I had the salmon which was to die for. Alec had the special, fried catfish and chips. We could have made a meal of the appetizer though. Goat cheese truffles rolled in pecans. Like I’d died and gone to heaven. Our server was amazing and the live music and art in the walls made it a perfect date night.

We really wanted to like this place. It was packed the day after Thanksgiving and took about 10 minutes before we were acknowledged at the front. We then had to wait another 5 minutes for a table but that was fine — they were busy. I got the enchiladas and my husband got the chimichanga. We thought both were very bland. Waitress was pretty slow getting and refilling our drinks. Also, there was snow on the ground outside and no heat on inside the restaurant. We won’t be back.

Heading through Floyd, on our way from southern VA, which we almost never visit, back to the DC area, we spotted this place and were hungry so we gave it a shot. And were so very glad we did. Live guitarist was a nice touch and exactly what we were looking for. Food was amazingly good, probably a bit higher priced for the locale, but being used to DC prices it wasn’t bad. The burger I had was up there with and maybe better than I have had anywhere else, certainly beat the pants off some if not all of the fancy-pants steakhouse places I have been to. We also had the ribeye which was utterly great as well. Highland Gaelic Ale on tap was delicious. If for some crazy reason we are ever back in Floyd, VA, we will certainly return to this spot.

My only regret here is that I didn’t come for dinner. I had the portabella sandwich. It was different and at first I didn’t think I liked it. A few more bites though and I was really enjoying it. The bread was toasted just right and the flavors of mushroom and spinach worked out to be a great meal. My only regret is that as I sat eating and reading other reviews I’d miss the dinner menu. Great job!

The best dinner in town. Eat on the patio if you can, sometimes the live music inside is a bit much. Crab cake is delicious, tuna was amazing(and this from someone who doesn’t even like tuna). Great service and lovely atmosphere.

Amazing Food! My husband and I enjoyed dinner at «Odd Fellas» on a warm Friday evening in May and enjoyed delicious food, good music, and unrivaled people watching. This was a first visit but won’t be the last because our appetizers(vegetable stew and seafood chowder) were delicious and our entrees(mahi mahi tacos and tahini tostada) were even better. The dining area is small and chilly so bring a sweater or jacket and the room has limited sound absorption so people tend to shout at one another which makes appreciating the live music a bit of a challenge. The staff was efficient but harried with only three servers and a new/nervous hostess in a packed cantina, so the small niceties fell through the cracks but our server was knowledgable and courteous. After dinner we strolled down the main drag where seven or eight groups of musicians were performing and browsed several of the shops — a fun way to burn a few calories and support local businesses.

Driving through town on our way to Château Morrisette winery, we stopped in for a bite to eat and were very impressed! The burgers and hand cut fries I think are the way to go, but the soups(seafood stew when we were there) and salads are also delicious, along with their herbal teas. Definitely stop in here if you are visiting Floyd or just passing through!

Having never been to Floyd, VA, we weren’t sure what to expect when our B&B proprietor suggested this as our best choice for dinner. When she said they had live music on Friday(5⁄24), we were skeptical — it could either be really bad, or very good. It was very, very good indeed! From the cozy and eclectic feel of the restaurant to the wonderful service, this place did not disappoint. We shared the scallops in a pomegranate reduction, and from the first bite we were enchanted. The chef really knows her stuff, and nothing was overdone or too sweet. As we enjoyed the music playing through the sound system and waited for the live musicians to show up, the excellent waiter made sure our meal was excellent. We shared the ribeye with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables, and were quite impressed(hard to impress us). Literally, every bight was amazing. When the live music started, we were once again pleasantly surprised. Although the stage was small, the talent they fit on it was surprising, and I didn’t want to leave. We shared a warm brownie with natural vanilla ice cream for dessert, and I can honestly say this was the best meal to kick off our amazing vacation! We’re planning another trip to Floyd just to go to the cantina. :-)

We came to Oddfellas Cantina for brunch and had a good start to the day with fresh, well-prepared meals and plenty of good conversation. I had the special of the day which was a spinach and smoked salmon omelet( ) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s something about farm fresh eggs — the color just absolutely pops on a plate. It looked very appetizing and it was. The spinach counterbalanced the saltiness from the salmon and it just all worked. A nice and healthy meal that was also filling. Compared to some other breakfast plates on the table, my meal definitely seemed bigger. Service is friendly here but not over the top. They make sure you are taken care of then give you space. Oddfellas Cantina is a cute restaurant to visit. I thought dinner seemed a little high for Floyd but brunch is very reasonable.

Every time I come here I think«Wow, that’s delicious.» A few years ago, that was where I wanted to go for my birthday. I appreciate that the tables, chairs, and cloth napkins are all different, as if they were salvaged second-hand for the sake of originality and the environment. It looks like they jazzed up a lot of the tables, too, painting interesting things on them and refinishing stuff. Try for the patio if you can – it’s lovely out there.

Cool place and pretty good food. Plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarians. Never been here for the live music but I’m sure its a great time. Just a cool atmosphere.
