Bottom of the Cup Golf Bar & Grill

All I can say is SMOKEY! Not a good place to hang out and eat if you don’t like having a mouth full of cigarettes. Very shocked to see this kind of establishment in the area. Not impressed and will never go back.

I enjoy playing golf on here when it’s cold or rainy outside.
The waitress is always very friendly and attentive.
The drinks are decently priced. Upset they got rid of their wing deal though. Kept me coming back every Thursday.
The only reason why this bar is missing a star is for the smoking. It doesn’t get too smokey in their, but it’s still inside.
Not a deal breaker for me though. Just a heads up to smoke sensitive people.

The worst bar ever besides the fact that they allow smoking inside the so called owners drink in the bar and have their friends come in and they start drama and the owners stick up for them. The worst place ever would never spend another dime here again. I would give negative stars if it allowed me to!!!

Great sports bar with lots of activities like golf simulator pool tables and events like poker every night I went in for the poker one night and had a blast cheap beers and drinks and the pizza we order was awesome

Smoking indoors is never a good thing. It is a major health hazard to not only the patrons but the employees. This made the experience there very bad. Service at best was below average and a fight broke out between two of the girls that worked there. There are much better places to eat or drink. If managed well, it could be a very nice place. Their wifi is also very slow if even functional.

Great Bar! Great staff! Very easy on the eyes i might add. Beer is always cold. Super cool Golf simulators also. If you want to play Pebble Beach? You can do it there.

We were here shortly after they first opened so this review is a little overdue however unless they’ve changed their smoking policy, it’ll be accurate.
The food, service, and golf-​simulators were awesome. The fact that they allowed smoking was a deal breaker. While I can tolerate it even though I’m a non-​smoker, my wife cannot. We haven’t been back since then because of this. I’d say they are loosing out on a considerable amount of business for this sole reason. Oh well, we’re getting more and more restaurants in the area to make up for the loss.

Way too smokey in here. Great food, but I wonder how much business they lose not catering to the 90% of folks who do not smoke?

Yes, a one star but not due to the food.
OK folks, yes it is a «bar» but also a «GRILL» /​restaurant.
It is pub food and frankly our sandwiches were «all» cooked to order.
Burgers are great! The staff /​workers are friendly.
My problem? I am a non-​smoker.
If you are a two pack a day smoker and don’t mind being surrounded by it from the front door to the cigarette machine by the bathrooms then you will find a great home.
As I stated the food was cooked to order, however, once I had my smoked burger, with smoked lettuce, smoked tomato, smoked onion, and smoked bun, I was able to wash it down with a smoked drink.
Of the entire location I only counted 2 people outside of our group that were NOT smoking, constantly.
Again, it could already be a gold mine, but with the golf games, poker, etc., it could be even better if they did something to offset the constant smoke. Then again, if that is your thing then roll on smokey bear roll on. As for me, once I came home and changed clothes it was a wonderful afternoon in fresh air.

I’ve been to a lot of sports bars in the Atlanta area, but I’m gonna say this straight out — I think Bottom of the Cup is the best sports bar in Georgia!

You can play over 50 Championship courses from all over the world. Get this, YOU can play exactly where the Pros are playing each week !!
People have asked me what playing indoor golf on a golf simulator is like. First off, not all golf simulators are created equal. We’re not talking video games or Golden Tee, this is real golf. You bring your own clubs in to Bottom of the Cup, lace up your golf shoes, and get out your favorite golf ball (don’t worry, you will never lose it!)
You take full shots into a HUGE screen that is very realistic. After each shot, the golf simulator will give you feedback such as flight distance, launch angle, and all that other cool stuff that really helps improve your golf game (Bottom of the Cup has indoor practice areas on the golf simulators, too… GREAT for grooving your swing).
The golf simulators pick up on hooks and slices… and duffs. If your shot lands in the sand or rough, there is a special area of the mat you will hit off to simulate the effect of hitting from different conditions.
The putting is a little tricky and takes getting used to. While the simulator gives you all the information you need (such as distance, green speed, and break), it still takes a few golfers a few practice putts to get the feel for it.
Bottom of the Cup Golf Bar is more than just golf, though. The food there is fantastic and from what I hear, it is a really enjoyable time for the non-​golfers to eat good food, drink cold beer, and watch the hackers on the simulators!
Bottom of the Cup has a full bar and a menu of some of the best bar food in Atlanta. Their bar burgers are GREAT — so are the fried green tomatoes! It’s all good (yes, I’ve tried it ALL).
The wait staff and bartenders are all super friendly and the owners (Gary and Ben) will do everything they can to make sure you feel welcome and at home.
Definitely a five-​star sports bar!
Bottom of the Cup is located in Flowery Branch, but is really close for golfers in the Braselton area and surrounding counties like Hall County, Barrow County, and Gwinnett County. If you’re close to Château Élan — you’re in ‘gimmee’ range of Bottom of the Cup!
