Their tank set ups are awesome! Staff is knowledgable, but live fish variety(especially freshwater) is rather blah. I can find better variety at Petco.

I was thinking about automating my salt water aquarium with an Apex controller and found this place on the Neptune Apex website. They have a large beautiful showroom and many reasonably priced, unique coral frags. I had heard how complex setting up an Apex controller is but was assured with their help it could be done. I ended up purchasing from them and of course needed a little bit of help. The customer service I received was astounding. The first person I spoke with helped me with most of my questions but wasn’t sure about one thing so she said she would get back with me. Within minutes the owner called and got me up and running even to the point of checking my controller settings online. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I will be returning to get some of the beautiful corals on display.

Overall I have not had a bad experience here only complaint is a bit of a wait time once or twice when I was in when they were busy with other customers which is understandable but overall are helpful and knowledgeable with a good attitude when there helping you prices are about average I think I live close to this place but that’s not the only reason to go here

I’m pretty disappointed with the service I have received. Staff is not very knowledgeable about fresh water fish and shrimp. Yet at least half of the store is fresh water. Prices are a bit high. You can walk into the store and look around and no one will help you unless you flag them down. Staff can be very rude at times. The last couple of times I swung by the store to purchase water I felt practically invisible. Staff didn’t greet me nor asked me if I needed help with anything. I was non existent. I filled up my own containers and carried them to the front of the store. I had to wait for someone to come to check me out. I was the only person in the store when this happened. I rather drive to North Dallas for water than to be ignored.

The staff here is good but the owner doesn’t care about his customers just how much money he can make. Coral is over priced and are not in good condition to begin with, frags should not be covered in algae. Every display tank had Aptasia growing in them, shows a lack of pride in keeping tanks clean. Used my discount with their own reward program and had the owner question me about my purchase because I had so many points built up. Owner was suppose to come look at my tank to see why corals weren’t doing good, tried to show him a picture while in the store and he said he was to busy and to email him the photo instead. Said he would call to schedule an appointment to help with corals. Never heard from him, got Dallas North to come out the same day and look at my tank and help me get it back in control. Will never go back to this store again. Have never had an owner act so rude. Owner has since discontinued rewards program. Frank’s Tanks is a way better store and the people there truly care about fish and enjoy their job.

I like this store. They have some nice corals and the store owner(I cannot recall his name) is very helpful. I spent several hours in the store with him having a highly technical conversation about reef aquariums. He is clearly an expert. This store is a bit far from my house but I drop in every now and then to see what the stock looks like. Good experience with the store overall.

Rift to reef is my favorite store in the dfw area! Reasonable prices and really helpful staff that knows what they’re talking about! Steven has helped this newbie with the million questions I have asked him. I definitely recommend this store for beginner to pro!
