I got the muddy hot chocolate with 7 different kinds of chocolate. So yummy and served at the perfect temperature! Love this little coffee shop!

I love this little coffee shop. Everything I’ve ever ordered here has been amazing. The gentleman who runs the place is so sweet and if you’re having trouble deciding what to order, he will just make something up for you. No worries, it will be super tasty! It’s a little pricey, but comparable to Starbucks and worth paying for all the love and attention he puts into every cup of coffee he serves. :)

This place has the best coffee around. I hadn’t been in for quite some time(about three years because I live 30 minutes away but grew up in the area). Whenever I’m back in north county I try to make it a point to make a visit. Absolutely quality coffee and quality ingredients. I purchased a pound of Colombian decaf, Swiss water processed, and he ground it for the new French press I’d received as a Christmas gift. I also got a hot chocolate for myself, which was delicious as usual. I was a little disappointed that he no longer does his own whipped cream. I hope that he branches out to a different location in St Louis or St Charles county so that I can make more frequent visits.

I enjoy this coffee shop. It does not look like one, but you can tell it is when you get inside. They share a parking lot with several other businesses in a strip mall,. The will be all the way on the end, last unit. They coffee shop sales, coffee beans or will grind it up for you. They have all good quality as far as I can tell and some that are $ 20.00 for a half pound for organic coffee that is supposed to be really good. I trust this guy to sale me the best coffee… I don’t know the ends and out or subtle flavors of a taco, let alone a coffee bean, but when I make this coffee, I know it tastes good and it feels right. I do know, they have some of the better hot chocolate I have had with several different types of chocolate in it. I know there is a powder mix in it, but it is still good. I just like giving this fellow my business, and it is the closest coffee shop to me. You know how sometimes, even if it ain’t the best in the west, you just feel good buying something and helping them out, and this feels good and it even feels like the best in the west until i find better. Good snacks too, I bought some sort of chocolate brittle cheesecake and it was good. He said now this is real rich, but he don’t know I have had some of the best cheesecakes this side of the Mississippi, but I bought it and enjoyed it with that hot chocolate and would do it again, because I love this place and everything is good. You coffee experts stop by try some of the coffee, and don’t let the interior put you off, it is worth it in my opinion!

Great coffee! I’m a travel nurse and like to support local businesses when I come to a new city. This place did not disappoint, the selection of options are endless and the owner is fantastic. It started to snow the day I went and the owner literally shoveled the snow making a path to my car! Way better than the large coffee chain stores. Try it, you’ll love it!

Steve(the owner) is awesome! Very friendly & accommodating; eager to be of service. Store is nice, they sell/use fair trade coffees and sell them as grounds or whole beans. They also have flavored syrups if you’re so inclined.

Great cup if coffee every time! I live in the Jamestown area of unincorporated north St. Louis County, which east of the Klondike Coffee Shop location. I love Starbucks brewed coffee, but sometimes I just don’t feel like fighting the heavy traffic you run into once you travel west of New Halls Ferry on Hwy 67(Lindbergh for you foreigners). I hate driving in traffic and the traffic is ridiculously heavy on Hwy 67 between New Halls Ferry and I-270. That being said, unless I just have to go into Florissant for other shopping, I go to Klondike Coffee Shop for a great cup of coffee. I’ve never had a bad cup of Joe there.

Great! Hot chocolate and attendant very knowledgeable about the various loose leaf teas that they sell here. Can’t wait to go back and try some other drinks on the menu. Don’t let the outside deceive you, this is definitely an example of not judging a book by its cover. Wish they advertised more, because I passed by this place for over 5 years and never patronized the business until now. Better than local chain hot chocolate and the loose leaf tea very affordable!

Is this the fanciest coffee shop you’ll set foot into? Nope. If you’re used to a place with swanky jazz music, lightning fast wi-fi, and hipster clientele, Alaska Klondike Coffee Co. is not your place. Alaska Klondike is a down home, mom and pop kind of coffee shop. Nothing too fancy; just a few tables, and if I remember correctly, a sofa or two. I grew up in North County, and 16 year old Stephanie used to come here all the time to study, hang with friends, or simply feel like a fancy-pants-latte-sipping adult. 10 years later, I still get a little twinge of nostalgia everytime I make the trek into NoCo and see Alaska Klondike still standing. It’s not the fanciest coffee shop around, but there’s a reason it’s survived for 15+ years. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I wandered out to the Hazelwood/Florissant area this afternoon because tonight is my grandpa’s annual corned beef & cabbage dinner that is NOT to be missed by a single grandchild. The dinner doesn’t happen until later, so what I did I do in the meantime? Naturally, I used my Unilocal app to search for a locally owned coffee shop, and much to my pleasant surprise I found one local place out of a million Starbucks & Bread Co’s. I was a little weary when I pulled up because it’s a little rough looking(the entire strip center is a little rough looking), but I trusted Elizabeth S’s one-liner review and made my way inside. It’s really unlike any coffee shop I’ve seen before, and I had to laugh at the random washing machine right inside the door with newspapers on top.(?) To get to the register you walk through a row of little popcorn makers that are for sale, as well as loads of «gourmet syrups». I really have no idea what they would even be used for on a normal basis. Not pancake syrup, the kind of syrup you make snowcones with. Again, just super confused but onward I go… The menu signs are all homemade and you can tell someone worked really hard at it, which I of course love. The man behind the register popped out and I ordered a hot chocolate(my body can’t take more coffee today.) I then asked him if they had wireless internet, and he said yes but it’s FIVEDOLLARS! Whaaaaaaat!!! I’ll give you a second to process that… Okay, obviously I appeared shocked and he told me that the good thing is once I have it, I have it forever, so I «can pull up outside in the middle of the night and use it if I want to.» I don’t plan on doing that anytime soon, and I paid the stupid five dollars because I had to get work done and it was too snowy to drive anywhere else. He told me his shop is a one-man operation, and the internet costs him a fortune to keep up. But five bucks? That’s one expensive provider… Three stars because the hot chocolate was very, very good. Homemade whipped cream and a bunch of different chocolates melted together. I’m not in the area very much so I don’t think I’ll be here again, but if you want local coffee in an area of mostly chains, this is your place.
