I have been to Doctors Express on two occasions for some medical emergencies that both occurred on Sundays. I understand and respect the fact that different patients have different experiences, but I have to say that mine have been nothing but 100% positive. The saw me quickly, made be feel comfortable, did x-ray in first instance and lab test in the second right there on the spot, and sent be home with medication. They advised that I see a specialist ASAP in both cases, which I did. They followed up the next day with a phone call, two days later, and again a week later. This is super care and I could not expect more for a very reasonable co-pay. There were no other charges and no issues with billing. I give these folks 5 stars. They deserve them from me.

I usually use OMNI Care, which is across the street., but decided to try Drs Express when I had a bad experience there. I am so glad i did. Beautiful, clean office with a friendly efficient staff. They assess problems quickly and send you on your way with a prescription. The Doctor was wonderful and had a good bedside manner. They also follow up with you in a few days to make sure you are doing well. I highly recommend.

They say they’re not under contract with Aetna or UHC and charge a $ 45 co-pay. That policy annoyed me considering that I have an open access plan. Even if they collect in full, you don’t get the difference in excess of your normal co-pay back. You may want to consider somewhere else if either of these companies have underwritten your insurance. Having said that, it is a very nice and clean place. Didn’t have to wait too long to see someone. Patient care was very good. Aside from getting overcharged on my co-pay, I had a nice experience. I would have given them 5 stars if not for the copay.

I am disgusted by this place. I went in there this past winter with a bad cold that would not go away. I called my insurance company to make 150% sure my visit would be covered, and they said yes, a sick visit to an urgent care facility is covered 100% after copay, no deductible. They took my co-pay, saw the doctor, gave me medicine, fine. Then I get a bill for $ 120. Now, I’ll skip the part where on the bill I found out that the doctor I saw was a pediatrician(I’m 33) and get to the part where it says it’s applied to my deductible. Thinking it was an innocent mistake, I called the insurance. They told me they did not bill with the correct code. So I called the doctor’s office. They told me they are only allowed to bill one code. Ever. No matter what you go in for, cold, broken arm, gunshot wound, one code. So although my visit clearly falls within the coverage parameters set out by my insurance company, I am now on the hook for $ 120. Now how in God’s name was I supposed to avoid that? My insurance says, «Sick visit, urgent care, 35 bucks, no problem.» So I get sick, go to urgent care, pay 35 bucks, and it’s a problem! How is any normal person supposed to navigate this system? There were no disclaimers, nothing at all to warn me that everything may not be status quo. If I had gone to a different urgent care clinic, it would have been fine. This is tantamount to fraud, and I am angry about it. And when I called them back, all I got was, «Sorry, that’s just how it is.»

I sustained some, what I thought were minor, burns to my leg 2 days before traveling to NJ for work. Day after I arrived, I was in pain with swelling and blisters. Being a nurse, I did a little research on internet and grudgingly decided to give this place a chance to avoid an ER visit. I am so glad I did! This is a fantastic facility. Everyone from the front desk to the nurse to the physician were very friendly and extremely competent. My physician was Dr Monroe, and if she was in my hometown, I would go to see her for any ailment. And like the review before me said, my bill was next to nothing! Thanks guys for maintaining such high standards-so hard to find anymore.

I am in New York getting ready to fly home to California. On my way to JFK I had a minor medical emergency. Instead of going to an Emergency Room I visited Doctors Express. I was pleasantly surprised with the prompt professional service, nothing like an ER. Second surprise was the bill. It was a fraction of the amount what I’ve seen in emergency rooms. Great team for urgent care. My treating doctor was Dr. Monroe. Thank you so much Dr. Monroe!
