Why does this restaurant have a phone? East side will do To-Go orders no problem. But the west side customer service sucks! They will not start a To-Go order until you have arrived, and paid for the meal. On top of that, if their is a line you will still have to wait in it and get your food after the person directly in front of you in line. Which completely defeats the purpose of placing a To-Go order. Basically you can place a To-Go order 15 minutes before you arrive and you will get your food at the exact same time as a customer who just walked in with you. Honestly this location has good food, however the lack of customer service is very off putting. If you are willing to wait 45 minutes for an average burrito or taco than this is the restaurant for you!!! I will no longer be a customer of the West side Tacos los Altos restaurant, I will now strictly be attending the East side location. They have better food in general, as well as better customer service skills.

Very nice husband and wife Mexican couple serving authentic Mexican food. Wife had the small tacos(street tacos). She preferred the beef. I had the chicken chimichanga with green sauce. Very good. Mom had the quesadilla(chicken). Excellent salsa bar. Friendly family. Would eat here again if ever back in Flagstaff.

Genuinely a great place to have some authentic Mexican food! My all time favorite dish to get here is the pozole on the weekends. Every dish I’ve tasted has been great. Awesome service, friendly staff, and clean facility. Definitely worth it.

The homemade touch is awesome, but I wasn’t impressed by the taste of the food.

I ordered the Posole soup which was fine, but not as good as I’ve had other places. I was asked if I wanted the condiments for the soup on the side, and I said yes, but they came already on the soup. The guacamole was a liquid consistency and not appetizing. My friend ordered the chile relleno and barely ate any of it because he didn’t like it. The rice had a weird smoky taste. The staff checked on us often asking my friend if he wanted anything else, which he declined. We won’t go back.

Best in Flagstaff! Delicious and great quality for the price! And great customer service! So good, I went twice in one week on two separate road trips!

Where did the flavor go? TLA West used to be great! Bland carnitas and beef tacos. The salsas were watery and not all that fresh. The portions are still huge! The Students are back, I’ll chalk this up to the new semester. I’ll be back… hope someone finds the spice rack!

The main thing the burritos are good, Hot and yummy. But the siders where really awful. Beans looked like they were coming from a garbage can. The famous drink the hurochata wasn’t the best. Tasted like Medicine to be more detailed. They served the tacos in plates which I usually serve tuna to my cat. Felt a bit disgraded. Maybe they could serve them on party plastic plates that would definitely be more decent. Don’t think I’ll come again.

Very tasty Chile relleno burrito and decent shrimp tacos which where seasoned well but the shrimp seemed a bit overdone. Got my to go order in under ten minutes and stuff seemed friendly, definitely will return!

Good Mexican fare at an affordable price. I tried chicken tacos and they were fried in the hard shell which surprised me but they tasted good. I think it’s basic food but convenient to the hotels near by.

Been coming here for years and it’s always good! I honestly miss its warmth at this very minute. Staff is nice and cool salsa bar. Best oaxacan fast food style place in town. Veggie burrito with green sauce really does it for me. Also Dillon rocks!

wow, the review all good and my barbacoa plate looks yummy. Almost had to laugh when the server asked if I need silverware, do people eat refried beans and barbacoa with their fingers? Another chuckel when my server brings the cutest tiny plastic fork. That is where the fun stopped, the first bite of the barbecoa made my mouth pucker like I had just licked dry the rim of a margaretta glass. The salt was so overpowering, it made the meat unedible. I mentioned it to my server who could only say, I am so sorry, would you like me to pack it to go? Where do they find this type of employees? On my way out I told the owner to taste his barbecoa as he should not serve it to anyone else as someone dropped a salt container into it. He also said he was sorry and would look into it. What a waste of close to $ 10 on my part and the waste of a good customer on their part for fixing the situation the way they did not. Sure looked good but after my whole experience, I won’t be back.

Still my favorite in town. Portions could be a LITTLE larger. But thats my only complaint. Good salsa bar, authentic atmosphere(cafeteria style like a lot of indoor Mexican places in Mexico) — flavors are great with the dishes. They stopped carrying Jamaicia and Tamarindo flavored sodas though…

I don’t normally eat out at Mexican food eateries but this is the best by far in Flagstaff. I love their salsa bar! I always order their amazing bean burrito and crave it on a weekly basis with their red chile sauce … mmmm. I think I dream about it too. I tried their tacos, one of each, chicken, beef, and fish. I am hooked on the fish tacos. Taquitos are very good too. Always a favorite stop for me. My only suggestion for the restaurant: please have the Jicama drink every other day. We crave it all the time.

This is a good restaurant. If you like beef, get the«Barbacoa». It’s big chunks of slow cooked beef in a semi-spicey red sauce, comes with rice, beans, and tortillas. Absolutely Amazing! If you like pork, get the carnitas. Best carnitas in Flagstaff in my opinion. My classic test of a good Mexican restaurant is the«Rice n’ Beans» test. Mexican Rice and beans are one of my favorite foods. Tacos Los Altos has incredibly flavorful rice and perfectly cooked beans. The salsa bar is good and the«medium green» on is my favorite. They make their own pickled carrots and peppers which are awesome. Sometimes they sell homemade tortillas. They’re a little pricey but so worth it. As others have said, the downside is that chips are $ 2 and they don’t do half orders like the East-Side location.

I visited Flagstaff last week, and enjoyed two meals from Tacos Los Altos. I stopped in on Wednesday for the taco/enchilada combo and was so pleased with the meal that I visited again — the very next day — for the tostada. While they do have a full dining area, including outside seating, most people seemed to be here for the take out. That’s the route I went both times, and each time I had my meal in my hands quickly and was headed out the door. They’ve also got a small salsa/fixings bar so you can load up on your salsa of choice(everything from mild to super hot, along with onions, pickled stuff, cilantro, etc). While everything I tried was good, I highly recommend the tostada!
