Forget what all of these people say. I have been to fuego at least 6 times since it opened and it has been a delight every time. Great food, cold beer and a tremendous atmosphere. GOTOFUEGO!

The shrimp cerviche was not real cerviche and it tasted lame. $ 10 gets you a couple tablespoons of pre-cooked shrimp tossed in some oil based drizzle. A small quantity dressed up in a rocks glass on a bed of greens. The salsa was poorly spiced up tomato sauce. Way too salty. The chips are tasteless, like cardboard. The guacamole was out of a bag and overly salty also. They tossed some onion in for good measure. It was lame. The hostess station is on the opposite side of the parking/entrance. She sat on her behind and waited for us to walk right up to her before she acknowledged us and then took us past all the empty tables next to the beach to seat us further back. If you are looking for decent atmosphere they have it in spades. Not sure about the drinks but they have a lot of tequlia. If you own a loud motorcycle you’ll fit right in since there were many biker types with arms full of faded tattoos If you are looking for decent Mexican food forget it.

To be honest I don’t know what rating to give it as I wasn’t served. However based on my limited experience and likely only I will give it two. I called tonight around 7 pm and asked what time dinner was servd til. I was told 11 pm. Even after expressing surprise that it seemed really late the young lady confirmed it was indeed 11 pm. I got there tonight at about 9:30 pm and was told by somene working outside that dinner stopped at 9 pm but that there was a limited menu at the bar. I went up to the bar and the bartender was really busy and indicated he would get to me. He was busy kind of running around and on the register(not with customers as it wasn’t that busy) but indicated he would get to me. I waited and waited and then another guy walked up and sat at the bar. When the bartender was done he went right over to help the guy — I suppose because he was closer. If I hadn’t known that the bartender knew I had been waiting long and was there first I wouldn’t have walked out. I was so excited that there was a Mexican rest. down from the hotel I like to stay at. I purposely went late as I dine alone and the last two nights were so crowded earlier in the evening. I doubt I will go back. What a disappointment… it would have been a great place to dine at when I visit Flagler Beach. But if tonight is any indication of level of training and customer service I will spend my time and money elsewhere.
