Stopped in with my husband today to grab a late lunch. Our first time there, the atmosphere was warm and the employee was extremely kind. I had a chicken club wrap(AMAZING chicken!) and he had a cub club sandwich. The portions were perfect, and we left full and happy. The prices aren’t cheap, but it also seems that they use good ingredients; ergo, you get what you pay for. The flavors were on point, and I’m already craving the chicken again. Wish I lived closer!

«Discovered» this little gem of a store while traveling on business. I love the rustic interior, excellent coffee and friendly staff. Sure wish I lived nearby – I’d be a regular. Keep up the great work Christy and team!

Local coffee bar in the Geist Area. The setting is a log cabin feel. There is coffee, tea and pastries. Also there are lunch and breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was alright. The service average. The overall experience was average.

I don’t know why people say this isn’t a good coffee shop… It’s my first time here and I absolutely love it! Cozy log cabin feel with big leather couches, a stone fireplace and lantern lighting. Good coffee and nice and fast service.

Adorable log cabin theme coffee house! Thrilled to find three gluten free options in the bakery section. Hot spiced apple cider made for a perfect fall afternoon. This is a great local alternative to big chain coffee houses.

Very friendly and fast service, unfortunately their coffee is not good. Ordered a late on a crisp Fall morning and it arrived cold. I requested a new one which was happily provided, but I was not impressed. I like to support local coffee places but will skip this one in the future.

Worst latte ever! Go to Starbucks. Costs the same but at least tastes much better at Starbucks if you’re going to spend the overpriced $. Very disappointed in the service and quality of the coffee. Couldn’t drink it! Will not return.

I really, really want to love everything about Mama Bears. It’s just up the road from me and it’s not a Starbucks(which my husband loves) and there are not really any other hometown coffee shops near us. As far as the atmosphere goes, it’s super cute inside with a cozy, cabin feel to it. It’s totally a place I could sit down with a book on one of the sofas and read the day away(if only I had the time). We also like the coffee. My husband tends to just get coffee(nothing fancy) while I have been getting cinnamon lattes recently which have also been delicious. As for the food, it’s just ok. He got a cinnamon roll once which was really good but every time we were offered a pastry to eat there, no one has offered to warm it up. No offense but if the pasty has been sitting in a case for several hours, it would be nice to have it warmed up slightly. I don’t feel I should have to ask for that. There is also a butterscotch scone that was yummy but again, could have been better if it were warm. As for the service, it’s always fast and we typically don’t have to wait long to either order or get our coffee and treats but it’s not overly personable. The employees always seem to be swamped and just want to get people in and out. Keep in mind if you visit that there is a $ 5 minimum to order if you want to pay with a card. If not, you better have cash with you. The coffee and the location keep me coming back but some improvements could be made.

Awful. I was curious about this café when I stumbled upon the website. I took my daughters(12&15) for lunch today. We ordered tuna melt, a mound of tuna on an English muffin topped with an X of American cheese. My 15 year old didn’t like it, so I swapped her ½ of my BLT. Hard to mess up a BLT, but… it was more like a club sandwich, not so bad, but instead of mayo, soome sour tasting sauce was on it. The Portobello sandwich is just that. A sandwich with Portobello?(Small for potobello) and Dijon mustard. Coke, Sprite and water. Not worth the out off the way drive and certainly not with the $ 32.01 price.

Let me start with say that the atmosphere of this place is great. You get an instant small town feel when you walk in and the bubbly outgoing staff make you instantly feel valued and comfortable as a customer. However, the quality of the food and service that the prices and descriptions boast of does not hold true in the experience. My husband and I went in for breakfast recently. Part of what brought is here is thay I saw on their website that they serve Hubbard and Cravens coffee. Usually places that make an extra effort to serve top quality coffee care a lot about the quality of their food to customer relationship in general. I would say that this place cares but, not a lot. I ordered the vegetable quiche of the day thinking it would be warm and fresh. To my surprise the cashier reaches into the pastries case with a pair of tongs amd pulls out a large square slice that was just sitting on a wax sheet covered serving tray and put it’s it on a paper plate and pops it on the microwave. The price of the quiche was just shy of $ 8. I decided to give it a chance even though I don’t believe in microwaves and was sure the dish would be rubbery. My husband ordered the montecristo which was being stored in the same fashion as my quiche and was reheated in the same fashion, after she has forgotten about it and my husband had to remind her. We also ordered to single orders of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were most definitely pillsbury grams biscuits, I could tell by the first bite, and the gravy tasted off. I couldnt put my finger on it but it wasn’t right. A full order of biscuits and gravy is $ 8. I would expect for that price they could at least make their own biscuits which is a very simple and easy thing to make. My quiche was, as I expected, rubbery and the crust flavorless and soggy. I believe that when it first came out of the oven this dish was probably pretty decent but after sitting out for I’m not sure how many hours and being warmed on the microwave it’s quality was not worth any amount of money. My husband’s monticristo was the same story. I didn’t taste it myself so I can’t vouch for the details of the experience. Both dishes were served with fruit. I was pleasently surprised to find the fruit salad had been hand made with care. All the fruit was fresh and tasty including the pineapple. The coffee was, of course, amazing. The only downside was the carafes were on a counter right by the a door that was letting in a cold blast of air every time someone came and went. Not one time did I see anyone check on the level of the coffee and whether or not any of them needed filled. At one point I glanced up to see a bottle of 409 sitting on the counter next to and facing the microwave. There were so many quality food service mistakes it was hard keeping up. In conclusion I will never order food here again. I will however come back for coffee and might try a pastry. The friendly small town feel is very pleasant and inviting and it’s less distracting then starbucks for when I need to get stuff done on my computer. I would not recommend anybody go here to eat but I would recommend for a good cup of coffee and pleasent atmosphere.

Wow has this place done a turnaround. To boot I noticed this morning they have a drive thru which is an unbelievable convenience for the area. They are carrying the best coffee in a 1 single origin 2 blend and 3 decaf every morning! Plus they will make any drink you would expect from a coffee shop. This morning I ordered regular bagel. I am just so happy for the changes they have made it is so warm inside and you can tell the neighborhood has started to embrace a long time needed neighborhood coffeeshop

Pleasant atmosphere, however when I ask what is cornbread casserole, and the reponse is its amazing. Doesn’t help me decide if I want it as my side. I order a Blt minus the Bacon cream cheese. Why was the sandwich cut into ¼s? Made it very hard to eat. My last complaint is if you are using three slices of bread to build the sandwich, why smash all the bread? Overall not sure I would go out of my way to get there.

Bad atmosphere. Workers don’t seem to know what they are doing or care one bit. Clorox bottle sits on the counter while I reach past it to get my order. My coffee was absolutely horrible and I did not receive the correct order. The plus: Wifi is free. Yay! Everything else sucks.
