The reviews for this Dairy Queen make me understand some of the reasons business owners hate Unilocal.Seriously read them. You’ll cringe. You’ll cry. You’ll feel better about yourself but worse about how people feel about those from Fishers and Carmel(because it will feel slightly justified). I stopped in today to get an ice cream cake. I have the same beliefs regarding ice cream cakes that I do about formal wear. Neither should be saved just for special occasions. They only had one blank cake in their freezers as most had happy birthday or balloons or kid toys or that sort of thing covering them. I wanted mine to read, «Congrats it’s Wednesday» It was busy. Considering it was maybe 11:30 when I went. I was quickly reminded by the plethora of children that school might be out for some already. #nokids There was a line which I got in. I had plenty of time to look around and this place looks so much cleaner than the ones of my youth and in St. Louis(sorry STL!). Apparently there was some price discrepancy where Malts were ringing up at a higher price than shakes or something(the lady in front of me ordered a malt). And the lady at the register didn’t know how to fix it so rang it up as a shake instead and the. Made the malt herself to ensure it didn’t become a shake because the ticket said it should. That’s not cheating a community as one review stated this location did…(and when does anything ever actually look like a picture??? And if that’s cheating a community then I wonder what they think of politicians) I know someone rated this location really low because the person at the register was new or didn’t know how to do something, but not everyone is completely trained. Not everyone has been there forever. Did that person know how to do their job in its entirety her first day on the job? I think that’s unfair. What I saw today was willingness of employees to figure it out. She said in her review they said they’d try too… So clearly she got a similar experience. I just don’t understand… The wait was long. They might need better staffing now that schools are letting out. That’s my one comment. But two staff members apologized for my wait. That’s professional. That’s kind. And despite the increasing line, they still wrote on my cake(remembering the apostrophe too!) and at lightning speed. Cleanliness and kindness go a long way.

For a place that sale cakes not a ever good place to eat birthday cake. Had to beg for a lighter, charged for plates, and everyone seemed not to know what was going on. This place was not friendly at all. I’d you do spot download the shop spot app. They won’t ask and you will miss out on saving

One of the best Blizzards I’ve had in Indianapolis. Fresh ingredients. Mixed pretty well, despite a couple inches of pure vanilla ice cream at the bottom of a large size. Friendly staff.

This owner cheats his community, every time I buy a royal treat they serve half the ice cream and add a bunch of whip cream to hide it, but the problem they can’t cover it up because the ice cream really isn’t taller than the waffle bowl it’s served in. Does not compare to the picture at all. For the cost, just under $ 6, it should look like the picture. I have bought from this location for two years, we live down the street, its my son’s favorite place. This will be the last time, I can’t respect or support business owners and managers that cheat they community. They place is clean, everyone is super friendly except the older guy that makes the ice cream cakes.

People giving 5 stars to DQ can’t have ever tasted non-chemical treats before. I just had a chocolate silk pie blizzard and couldn’t even taste the difference between that and my son’s Oreo blizzard. It tasted like a bunch of chemicals. Stick to Ritters or Handels if you want ice cream.custard. DQ = chemical city. I left DQ unable to even finish more than a ¼ of this blizzard due to the chemical, and stale, taste. What the heck is wrong with this place? My son did not finish his Oreo blizzard due to it tasting stale. That says something when a teen can’t finish a sweet concoction(and i bet it’s HFCS to boot). Buffet wants this junk for dessert? He must have lost his mind.

Nice family spot. French Fries are fresh and yummy. soft on inside, crisp and golden on outside. Good burgers. Kids burger is same as the adult burger. Kids meals are super deals! They get their choice of a cone, Dilly bar, or Ice Cream Sandwich with meal. I think I will do a kids meal next time! Nice quiet, clean and sunny place to stop and grab a bite while out and about. Good deal too!
